Website Updates - Updated

Fellers, Adam Mueller, Larry Oh!, Jeff Gunn

Registration for last month's conference is still open. "If I could turn back time..."

Church from Scratch cannot be found on the server. Maybe the server gave up after everyone looked at the lonely, solitary page with the sad little map on it. "Under construction" for the last month! Send them a grant. Web design is so expensive. $200,000? They need more than that.

The Church From Old Scratch is back, with a Christmas schedule. They use an image I could kelm, so I posted it for everyone's edification.
Do they thank me for the free publicity? Never.

Another smug pastor goes down in flames? Does anyone know for sure?

Church and Change appeals to pastors who find the Word of God to be boring, stifling, or even too restrictive. They opt for more satisfying approaches and doctrines. This has gone so far as infect MLC students who see themselves as intelligent, creative video producers ready to start their own religion.

Why is it that my Pastor has never utterd one word about Church And Change. I never even knew it existed until I found this blog. Silece can be good or bad. Good, meaning that a pastor is not in agreement with false-teachings. Bad, meaning a pastor is covering for the group while slowly incorporating such methods in the congregation.

I am on the Evagelism Comm. at my church. The head of the comm. is a layman(male); however, the pastor oversees all meetings. None of the ideas or implementations used have came from the C&C gimmicks. What we do is pretty old school, for example, door-to-door witnessing, mailings, fliers, and a few conservative out-reach venues.

On a final note, my pastor doesn't discuss the names of WELS pastors who have attended Fuller. He did talk about Fuller one time and it didn't sound like Pastor was fond of the place.

In Christ,
from WELS church lady

Yes, those MLC videographers certainly look like Hollywood material.

WELS church lady,

Watch and listen carefully and you will find that many pastors like to play mind games. Careful, they are very practiced and will make you feel guilty if they think you suspect anything.

Sorry I will not be able to attend. Thank you anyhow.

That is old stuff that does not leverage your efforts like working affinity factors, e.g.,
* dances
* match making
* job placement
* partying with other denominations
* authoring books
* public speaking
* etc., etc., etc.
Last but not least is the "look of success" with a new building of some kind.

Dear Wels Lady,

If your pastor is not warning you or comforting you, you'd better raise your awareness level. Start looking for ' behavioral conditioning'. Ask your pastor for his opinion.

This chicanery stuff should be discussed openly and the laity are in a 'blackout' phase while C & C'rs are extending hegemony.

My pastor wasn't talking about this either, because I was in a LCMS Church Growth Stealth Church.

This is no time for spectators; pastors & lay people have to declare their intentions. No more "fence sitting".

Hang around WELS church lady. You gotta see some of these pastors play in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." They have some real personal problems.

Hey! Check out "The Core" Christmas Eve schedule! Charlie Brown Christmas-- the only service they're having! Hope they have special popcorn that night too-- maybe eggnog flavored...

I see what anonymous said about personal problems. It is only compounded with rock 'n roll churches and fools who talk about "pure gold."

Things have been much too quiet in Pattersonville. There must be a hurricane brewing for Christmas down there.

You can become a pastor in some religions and never learn about Old Scratch. That simply amazes most people.

Oh, by the way, do not put up a website like "Christ the Rock" if you want to win over prospects with your concern for their souls. It simply looks like you do not give a xxxx.

Hey WELs Lady, WELS IS beyond hope or help..

Are you sure your "Conservative" Pastor, is not aconcealed LIBERAL guy, who doesn't really give a damn for right doctrine, though e he fastidiously hides that from any but the liberals in his flock ?

This is the guy whose a "YES" man par excellence, out of concern for the money that that "hits the offering plate". Sincere ? You betcha.

To the conservative, he'll "be conservative" for you (while he's with you), and particularly while your group's in the majority.

To the others,the progressives, he'll privately completely agree with them, but explain he cannot, AT THIS STAGE, allow this or that...they're in the minority, it would cause much upset and create disunity...for now, they must be patient, nevermind how long it takes..

But, so long as they are willing to keep it VERY quiet, he will allow all sorts of special little home groups to do whatever they want with him not present. If he was there, he explains, and word did get out, ALL would be lost.

They agree. He now has their total confidence, and they trust him.

Ditto the "conservatives"...but gradually, this group becomes smaller.

The orthodox (i.e. the actual conservatives; both Bible and BoC literate), got nowhere with this Pastor, and already left long ago.

Many times over, with much and great pain, they'd tried to get somewhere with him, but he refused to stick his neck out, and be any kind of force for good in the synod...finally it dawned on them, he was a "false prophet in sheep's clothing" ala Matthew 7: 15 -23). They never would get anywhere with him.

Having children they wished to be soundly brought up in the faith, the husband finds out where a sound congregation is, on the grapevine. A long way away, it means changing his job, he finds that job, and transfers to the sounder congregation.

The quasi"conservatives" are none the wiser. They put the move and transfer of this very fine family they're sorry to see leave, down to his job.. "That's why they left".

A tiny minority of older (silently orthodox), can no longer easily pack up and move, but understand d what has happened, and silently grieve the moving on of this fine orthodox family.

Over the years,the same pattern is repeated, until only a few old (silently orthodox) are left, plus the samish slightly smaller number of "quasi-conservatives".

A newly rising majority now outnumbers them,who began as the minority.

This newly rising majority are made up of the many "pASTOR-OKAYED PRIVATE HOME GROUPS begun long ago, plus those via the Lutheran Grapevine who heard about this congregation, and its pliable shepherd, and who, most happily transferred to it.

Before long, this new majority of flourishing progressives will press their false shepherd to do THEIR will, and he will, for they are now in the majority.

The question is, WELs Lady, at what stage is your "conservative" congregation ?

Do you know ?
