Why not just stick with TLH? There are a few reasons for this: 1. TLH has been out of print for years and, although you can still find it, the companion books (e.g. altar book, Agenda, etc.) are almost impossible to find. 


The sentence ends with a broken word, appropriate for people who teach Objective Justification for years and then suddenly switch, only to become as papal as possible.

I saw the eye doctor today, starting with the extern. "Does extern follow after serving as an intern?" He said it did.

I said at the desk, upon completing a hand-held computer list of information, which included about 18 variations on marital status, "I assume this information goes directly to the FBI." The clerk laughed. Her associate laughed. Then the hand-held computer laughed.

The optometrist looked into my eyes after the extern practiced with the instruments. They also had the computer test results for damage caused by glaucoma. My vision improved! They were pleasantly surprised. I said, "Maybe it helped to have lutein every day." They both became nervous - "Well, if you think that helps, go ahead."

Gregory L Jackson PhD is a Lutheran theologian, teacher, and pastor. He received a STM degree in Biblical studies from Yale in 1973 and he earned a Master's degree and a PhD in theology at the University of Notre Dame in 1982.

The purpose of the Bible is to instill faith. Faith is the instrument God uses to save us. Doubt is the instrument the devil uses to lead us away from God.

In his previous book on the King James Version (KJV), Dr Jackson demonstrated that the KJV is an inspired and trustworthy translation, and it is the Bible which faithful English-speaking Christians should read. He described how the authentic texts of the Bible were preserved and passed down by faithful men as what we call the Majority Texts, and how they were translated into English by faithful men.

In this book, Dr Jackson demonstrates that “modern” Bible translations (such as the RSV and NIV) are neither inspired nor trustworthy. They are based on defective texts, translated by faithless men.

On page 1, Dr Jackson provides the following quote from the Trinitarian Bible Society regarding the problem with modern translations:

“Today there is an artificially produced conviction resulting from marketing techniques and imposed on the churches from without. This whole modern consensus maintains the Bible publishing industry must now determine the texts of Scripture.

Dr Jackson provides an overview of the actions of several persons who brought us to this state: Constantine Tischendorf with his 'discovery' of Codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus which he claimed were the world's oldest and best Bibles, Wescott and Hort with their redacted Greek New Testament which removed references to miracles and the divinity of Jesus, and Eugene Nida with his dynamic-equivalent, paraphrase translations in which essential doctrines are watered-down so as to make them acceptable to Roman Catholics and other apostates.

Dr Jackson also provides an extensive lists of books which the reader may use to make a deep-dive study of the issues behind deficiencies in modern Bible translations. Therefore, one can use this book as an overview of the issues as well as a reference source for further study.

I would recommend this book to someone who wishes to learn about the deficiencies of 'modern' Bible translations and how such defective Bibles have contributed to the apostasy which we see today in mainline denominations.

God willing, the revision of the I AM Sermons in the Gospel of John will be sent to Janie Sullivan tomorrow.

The revision was mostly a matter of format, but also included some improvement in language, bolding I AM, and adding a name (Dr. Lito Cruz) to our distinguished roster of parish professors.


I made some changes to the audio for our service today and results were good. Some more basic changes will be made this week - sound dampening, testing combinations.

KJV Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Ephesus was the Mother Church of a vast area where Christians flourished for a time. But they lost their first love (Revelation 2), much like Laodicea - which became lukewarm, neither cold nor hot.

In this letter before his death, Paul wanted to remind all the churches about the truth he offered them as a witness to the risen Christ. We often list in our histories the witnesses to successes and catastrophic failures. They are named and carefully described to show that they had important things to say about those events. 

The Apostle Paul had a triple score in this area. 

  • First of all, he was converted by Christ Himself on the road to Damascus. This was so dramatic and factual that the other apostles accepted him as an apostle. Peter, who was with Jesus from the beginning, had to accept Paul's admonition to be sincere about the issue of kosher foods.
  • Secondly, Paul was imprisoned and put to death for being a Christian leader. The martyrs (witnesses) were a special class of believers in the earliest days, accepting death as a reflection of Christ dying for their sins. 
  • Thirdly, then as now, a dying person's final address was considered especially powerful and truthful, because that person had no more successes or failures.
So Paul was urging the Ephesians and all Christians to keep off the way they used to live, being driven by earthly desires, very much like today. Similar to pagan Rome, our country seems to be chasing after the worst behavior and its destructive power. People passively go along with the radicalism, though there are signs that too many groups have been angered by what is happening to them and their children, their businesses and their future. 

Following our basic instincts is the Old Adam, doing whatever we want instead of acting on our faith in Jesus the Good Shepherd. Paul in various ways contrasted Adam - or the unbeliever - and the New Creation, born of the Gospel Word (not a decision, or we would be called New Decisions and not New Creations).

Luther graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD, from a Catholic university. He not only studied the Scriptures with a concentration on the Bible, but also taught it to his students. Besides that, he was guided in the Gospel by his advisor, which helped to wean him away from the Medieval slavery of salvation by works.

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 

Unfortunately for Rome, Luther's concentration on the Scriptures revealed the contrast between Middle Ages' focus on salvation by works and the Scriptures' emphasis upon grace through faith in Jesus Christ (aka Justification by Faith).

Salvation by works is so popular today among Lutherans and Calvinists that one can scarcely find the Gospel among both groups. 

Luther was carefully taught that works earned him a place in Purgatory, possibly Heaven. The more he physically tortured himself, the more holy (saintly) he was supposed to be. However, he found that no matter what he did, the more he punished himself, the more burdened he felt as a result.

Worse, when he visited Rome, the "center of the One True Church" (he thought), the lack of faith and the corruption were deeply disturbing. Rome was not the best but the worst. Where is the righteousness and the holiness of Ephesians 4:23-24?

Simply put - righteousness throughout of the Bible is the "righteousness of faith." And Jesus Christ gives us holiness through faith. We can see that as forgiveness through faith first (John 15) and the fruit of forgiveness (also John 15).

Grace is the favorite word in the Christian Church. The 100 year celebration of the LCMS is One Hundred Years of Grace.
English dukes are called "Your Grace" and hundreds of churches are named Grace.

An LCA leader said on the Word and Witness tape that the Evangelicals "have no grace," spoken with anger and bitterness. Paul wrote in Romans -

KJV Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham [in Jesus]; who is the father of us all,

KJV Romans 5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

This brings us to -
KJV Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Without the faith of Jesus leading Him forward, there is no righteous of faith, forgiveness of sin, and holiness. Our faith begins with the faith of Jesus, and we have access to grace only through faith in Him. 

Just as love is the result of faith in Jesus, so are all the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5). Luther had to unwind the decades of forgiveness through works in order to enjoy and teach forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ (rather than the tortured agonies of the man Luther).

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

After teaching the true grace of faith in the Savior, Paul wrote a list of actions to avoid. 
It is curious that the modern Lutherans (the heretics: ELCA, WELS, LCMS, ELS, CLC, ELDONUTs) of today constantly lie about what they teach. 
  1. They do not follow Luther or the Book of Concord and mock the Reformation with doggy t-shirts and Here I Stand socks.
  2. They despise the best, Traditional or Majority New Testament with 5,000+ witnesses and love the worst two frauds - Sinaiticus and Vaticanus.
  3. They love their modern, money-making Bibles with so many verses erased and words mangled, and even added (all are justified?, the whole world?)
  4. They bristle at mention of the King James Version and loathe the fact that the Cinderella Bible is better and so much more loved than their wicked step-sisters - Beck, NIV, ESV, RSV, NRSV, Jerusalem, TEV, Goodspeed.

The Johnstown Man-Made Catastrophic Disaster Syndrome

People forget - or perhaps never learned about - the Johnstown Flood. David McCollough's Johnstown Flood book is a classic. The Johnstown Flood movie, narrated by Richard Dreyfuss, is available free on YouTube. 

Chief among their findings, which Dr. Davis Todd presented last week at a meeting of the Geological Society of America in Portland, Ore., was that the lake held about 23.5 million cubic yards of water, which at one point passed through the breach at nearly 11,800 cubic yards per second.

The Johnstown Flood in 1889 is a staple in journalism classes, because of its national and international fame. Clara Barton organized a team to help with rescue efforts.

The St. Francis Dam in California, which failed in 1926, proved that human stupidity is resistant to logic, common sense, and recent history. Notice that the California disaster was only 37 years after the famous Pennsylvania debacle.

The Pennsylvania dam was refashioned to suit the needs of a private club for the very rich, but they never replaced the system of pipes for managing the water level. Doubtless they enjoyed the increasing size and debt, not worrying about the earthen dam (like the ones above Sanford and Midland Michigan, now collapsed and famous).

Because man-made dams are inherently fragile but look majestic, people overlook the disastrous possibilities. 

America is in the same shape as the Pennsylvania, California, and Michigan dams. Many people know we are a few steps away from catastrophic failures in the banking system, plus complete tyranny in education, communication, and technology.

I am still optimistic, because I see the results of Marxist socialism and lawlessness. This dominant foolishness is building an opposition base too large to be conquered by sweet words and dream-weaving drugs.

In the examples above, people knew the dam water had to go somewhere. They wished it were not so, and some were quite alarmed at all the obvious signs.

I said in 2016, "If Hillary wins, America will become Bosnia or worse." On election night I had to talk several friends off the ledge, because criminal efforts to rig the election had already been stopped in Florida. They did not see it for the longest time, even though Hillary had already canceled the fireworks days earlier. 

The situation today is a man-made disaster:

  1. Lack of interest in the US Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights;
  2. Willingness to accept political demands which are inherent - born - rights in the Bill of Rights;
  3. Lack of knowledge about the elected officials;
  4. Indifference about the radicalism and bullying of education, and propaganda disguised as news;
  5. Voluntary slavery accepted in socialized medicine and pharmaceuticals;
  6. Acceptance of fraudulent Bibles which are neither the best nor accurate;
  7. Allowing and participating in the shift from books to smartphone toys;
  8. Legalized marijuana lobotomies;
  9. Christian values turned into Hefner values.

Shadow Banned and Blocked - Even on the Topic of Medicine

 

We were going full blast on discussing the KJV and phony Greek texts/translations (NIV, RSV, NRSV, ESV, Beck) when this blog was blocked for several weeks. We had 7,000 views many days.

Shadow-banning is when people are not allowed to see the results of their searches in various search-engines. Corporations and church bodies and the wealthy pay big money for becoming invisible.

Views surged again and then were dialed back quite a bit. I was seeing 1,000 a day again, then down to 500 views per day. One reason for being quite a bit lower is my being tired of the crass corruption in WELS, etc. I will discuss synod abuse again and its role in lavender America today.

But I even experienced banning about medicine. I stated that a harmless and reliable pharmaceutical was used on Covid but there was a hysterical warning against that medicine. That is a factual matter. The statement was blacked out on the blog. Technology makes 1984-style censorship easily managed.

WARNING to the WELS:

It's time for us all to revisit the slippery slope. Notice - you are all on it.

Criminal facts are not gossip and attempts to call them gossip are only meant to deflect from the truth.

Continually stating the obvious that we are all sinful is an attempt to deflect sin itself. Also statements of "who are we to judge and don't judge until you walk in other people's shoes," are contemptuous to God's Words and warnings.

  • If you see a crime being committed and you do nothing and use the excuse "who are you to judge, you are as guilty as the person committing crime.
  • If you really believe in the "who are you to judge" philosophy - 
  • then hire a pedophile as a babysitter. 
  • Since  - who are you to judge.


If you are a member of the WELS for the warm fuzzy of the Gospel and you ignore the law, you might think about changing churches. Since there are many church denominations that run solely on "Who am I to Judge" and "you can't walk in their shoes" and "everyone should love and forgive everyone regardless", even the unrepentant. You should have no problem finding that kind of church.

God's Word is absolute and clear.

GJ - Two teens in my Michigan congregation died, struck down by drunk drivers. One was just recovering from his personal problems. The young woman was becoming a champion swimmer, the pride of her family.

A local WELS pastor was so drunk that he piled his car into a utility pole, injuring himself and the pole. I asked who it was. That was a secret, the circuit pastor said. Nothing was done. I had already asked the responsible people to help an obvious out-of-control situation. The lack of concern for this person's family was quite disturbing. I did what I could, and that was used against me.

Covering up for the guilty is doubly wrong when fake severity is used to get rid of laity and pastors.

The message of WELS has been - "The bigger the crime, the more we will cover for you, if you remain faithful to Holy Mother Synod."

No wonder Wisconsin Lutheran College invited Roman Catholic archbishop Weakland to lecture to them. He was a deviant who blamed child molestation on the children, had an affair with a young man, and embezzled church funds to pay blackmail to his lover.

Synod President the Rev. Mark Schroeder issued a brief statement "praying for all who have been affected by the events"

Why not say who those souls are? Children forced into sexual bondage to be sexually abused and used in terrible ways. Souls he should care about and want to help, not sweep under a rug.

Why was it allowed into the Synod offices? They are all very learned men - they often say so. They know the Devil exists. So why not stop the temptation as other schools and businesses do?

Every Sunday I listen to how I was born sinful and need to examine myself daily. Do you think they might apply this to the Synod Headquarters?

I hope Joel Hochmuth the ex-communications director has opened wide the door for the FBI to come in and do a clean sweep of the whole Synod.

Begin honoring your positions and stop allowing students to post videos feigning homosexuality online. It's not funny. It's disrespectful and harmful to other people. It's not acceptable behavior for our future Pastors and teachers.

Quit talking out of both sides of your mouths and act accordingly. If you can't do it with Jesus sitting in front of you DON'T DO IT!

I couldn't say a louder AMEN to this post. As refugees from the WELS and LCMS both, we became sick to the teeth about hearing the "Good news of God's Luv" without a solitary word about hell, judgment and the wrath to come. (Why we need the Gospel in the first place.) Sermons were a joke. Literally. At St. John's Lutheran, Wauwatosa, home to numerous seminary faculty, our family of 7 were treated to a sermon still joked about today. It was centered around Green Eggs and Ham, written by the great theologian, Dr. Seuss. My children began laughing quietly until the whole pew was shaking. We never went back. The insult of climbing into that venerable old pulpit and giving us Dr. Seuss about says it all. Pale, ineffectual, passionless men in skirts--having a form of godliness, but with zero power.

We are familiar with the church that Mr. Hochmuth attends. It was the first church we visited when moving to Waukesha a few years ago. We were interested in their school also for our children. We walked in and were greeted with the sight of a drum set. Bad sign. We looked at the worship folder to learn that one of the hymns was Bette Midler's, You are the Wind Beneath My Wings. We got up and walked out. Trinity Lutheran is afflicted with the same disease as all the other Lutheran churches. It's all grace and not a word about the law. So parishioners in these churches are increasingly lawless. I could go on for hours. I weep over this. Our children have been harmed by this spiritually. Imagine laughing at the content of a sermon. Welcome to the WELS and the LCMS.

GJ - Faithful pastors and laity in the Olde Synodical Conference have to listen to snide comments about the Means of Grace liturgy, the "boring and irrelevant" Book of Concord, and real sermons.

One WELS pastor said, "It is very difficult to be in ..." I could name the place, but fill in the blank. One pastor told me he is the only one who is NOT a Shrinker at his meetings.

I am not convinced that this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for the WELS. As those who have posted have said, there really is not any condemnation from the Law taking place from official synod mouthpieces. There seems to be this veiled denial as if to say, "there must be some sort of misunderstanding".

Law enforcement and prosecutors are certainly capable of making mistakes.
