Tom Fisher Reflects on Youth

to me
Dear Pastor Jackson,

I pray the Lord's prayer constantly through out the day especially when I am full of cares, worries, and fears. Sometimes I never get past the first petition as I ponder it. Today I am still pondering the first two words: 'Our Father who art in Heaven'. I immediately picture millions of true Christians throughout the world praying the Lord's Prayer with me and for me. This picture is truly comforting. Next I ponder how God is our Father instead of the devil being our father. Now I have a picture of when I was a little infant being baptized into Christ in the name of God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Here God clothed me in the righteousness of Christ, giving me the gift of the Holy Ghost, and the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Here God opens Heaven for me and makes me His child, an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. All this God does for me without my will, without my merit, and without my worthiness. He makes me His child purely out of His grace without any merit or worthiness in me. Luther says it best:

"God would by these words tenderly invite us to believe that He is our true Father, and that we are His true children, so that we may with all boldness and confidence ask Him as dear children ask their dear father. " (Martin Luther, Small Catechism pamphlet, CPH, pg.8)

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7

I finally begin to ponder the first petition: 'Hallowed be Thy name'.

Luther explains it best:

"God's name is indeed Holy in itself; but we pray in this petition that it may be Holy among us also.

How is this done? Answer:

When the Word of God is taught in its truth and purity, and we, as the children of God, also lead a Holy life according to it. This grant us, dear Father in heaven. But he that teaches and lives otherwise than God's Word teaches, profanes the name of God among us. From this preserve us Heavenly Father. (Martin Luther, Small Catechism pamphlet, CPH, pg.8)

I marvel how God has kept me in His pure  Words in the King James Bible from an early age. I remember my parents buying me my first King James Bible when I began the eighth grade at a Christian Reformed parochial school. The doctrine was false, but God's Word was pure and true. I had to memorize it for Bible class, so I began to read and memorize God's pure Words in earnest. I memorized Isaiah 53 and Psalm 136, and large portions of John, especially John 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, and 14. God's pure Words enlightened my understanding to hold to Luther's correct teachings when I was a senior in high school. I had great difficulty in completely throwing off the false doctrine of the Calvinists, Baptists, and Pentecostals. So I had to study Luther and God's pure Words in earnest. I read Luther's small and large catechism over and over and over. I read everything Luther wrote on justification by faith, The Bondage of The Will,  the Office of the Keys, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper. Luther helped me understand and believe God's Word correctly. My soul had true peace with God for the first time because I trusted the text of God's Word in the King James Bible with 100% certainty and the correct teachings of Luther.

100% certainty in the English text of the King James Bible is the essence of being a true Christian.  Just a tiny bit of doubt in the English text of the King James Bible completely destroys every doctrine and teaching of the Christian faith. For example wicked reasoning says, "PERHAPS Isaiah 53:6 says 'young woman' instead of 'Behold, a virgin shall conceive'. PERHAPS Mark 16:9-20 NEVER existed and should most likely be omitted. PERHAPS 1 Timothy 3:16 never said 'GOD was manifest in the flesh'. PERHAPS 1 John 5:7,8 never existed and should be for the most part largely OMITTED. PERHAPS Colossians 2:9 NEVER said 'for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the GODHEAD  BODILY'. PERHAPS Jesus NEVER said, 'Take, eat; this is my body' in Matthew 26:26. PERHAPS Jesus NEVER said, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the NEW TESTAMENT, which is SHED for many for the remission of sins' in Matthew 26:27. PERHAPS Jesus said 'covenant' instead of 'Testament' when He instituted Holy Communion. PERHAPS Jesus said 'poured out for you' instead of 'shed for you' when He instituted Holy Communion. PERHAPS John 1:14 says 'One and Only' instead of 'the only begotten of the Father'. PERHAPS John 1:18 says 'the One and Only who is at the Father's side' instead of 'the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father'. PERHAPS John 3:16 says 'one and only Son' instead of 'only begotten Son'. PERHAPS John 4:42 says 'this man really is the Savior of the world' instead of 'this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world'. PERHAPS John 8:47 says 'he who believes has everlasting life' instead of 'He that believeth on me hath everlasting life'.
PERHAPS John 20:17 says 'I have not yet returned to the Father' instead of 'I am not yet ascended to my Father'. PERHAPS John 20:17b says 'I am returning to my Father and your Father' instead of 'I ascend to my Father and your Father'. PERHAPS Acts 1:3 says 'he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive' instead of 'To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs'. PERHAPS Acts 3:13 says 'his servant Jesus' instead of 'his Son Jesus'.  These are just a few examples of wicked reasoning casting doubt on the pure incorruptible English text of the King James Bible. The corrupt NIV, ESV, NKJ , NASB, Beck's, and RSV are based on the corrupt Vaticanus that God rejected during the reformation. All of the modern Bibles follow wicked reasoning and cast doubt in the Incorruptible Text of God's Word in the King James Bible. This is just the beginning of wicked reasoning doubting the English text of the King James Bible.

Wicked reasoning leaves no room for any certainty in the purity of ANY text of God's Word. For example you will hear apostate Lutheran pastors and professors say, "God's Incorruptible pure Word exists only in the original autographs. The original autographs are gone for ever; therefore ALL texts of God's Word contain some errors and omissions. God perfectly preserved His exact Word  ONLY in the original autographs." To say and believe this is the quickest and most comprehensive way to fall from grace as our entire Christian faith depends on the purity and certainty of the English text in the King James Bible. We do not speak Greek. We speak English and must have God's pure Incorruptible Word in the language we understand. This is why God gave us the King James Bible during the reformation. God had promised to do this for us in Psalm 12.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6-7

During the reformation we see God keeping and preserving the Words He inspired the prophets and apostles to write. He did this by rejecting the corrupt and fraudulent Greek text called Vaticanus and establishing the Incorruptible Greek Textus Receptus to be universally used for translating His Incorruptible Word into ALL languages. During the reformation, God published His Word in nearly ALL languages thus fulfilling Revelations 14:6-7

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Psalm 19 was also fulfilled during the reformation:

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. Psalm 19:1-6

Romans 10:18 verifies Psalm 19 is speaking of the Gospel being published and preached in all languages:

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Psalm 12 and Psalm 19 and Revelations 14 overwhelmingly compel true Christians to trust the Incorruptible English text of God's Word in the King James Bible with 100% certainty. Christ our Lord further strengthens our certainty of the English text of God's Word in the King James Bible when He said:

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35

The first petition also asks that God's Word may be taught in truth and purity among us. Here we again pray against wicked reasoning that refuses to bow to the all clear Word of God in the King James Bible. For example wicked reasoning proposes that the teachings of all Protestant churches lead to heaven. We know this cannot be true because the Calvinists, Presbyterians, Christian Reformed, Church of Christ, Baptists, Amish, Menonites, Pentecostals, Episcopalians, LCMS Objective Justification Fanatics, WELS Objective Justification Fanatics, ELCA Objective Justification Fanatics, and ELS Objective Justification Fanatics ALL add their own works, decisions, and emotional devotions to justification. They teach justification by works not justification by faith. They also reject Baptism, The Office of the Keys, and Holy Communion. In contrast Dr. Martin Luther forcefully taught justification by faith. He also taught the correct understanding of Baptism, The Office of the Keys, and Holy Communion. Luther always followed the Incorruptible text of God's Word. He always rejected reasoning.

Our greatest teacher, guide, and Comforter is God the Holy Ghost. He has attached Himself to God's Word in the King James Bible. He is always present with us,  opening our understanding as we read God's Word. God the Holy Ghost makes God's Word efficacious.

God our Father has opened heaven for us in our Baptism, clothing us in the righteousness of Christ, and giving us the gift of the Holy Ghost so we understand His Word correctly.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16:13-15

God has given us the Holy Ghost to comfort us with His Word.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27

God's Word in the King James Bible is efficacious.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:6-11

In Christ,
