Charlie Sue has a great sense for judging weather. She accepts sprinkling and even a steady rain when she wants to commune with Porchy and DustMop. Today she was at the door, 4 AM - no rain but a loud boom sounding. She came inside without a drop of rain and suggested a snack would be welcome.
We are on the list for five days of thunder, rain, and variations. The rain barrels were full, so I poured some out on roses that needed more encouragement. The honeysuckle vine was reaching and climbing across the cow square. I spotted the berries starting to grow. They are a highly regarded weed, known for the fragrance and the fruit. Like wild strawberries, they distribute more examples wherever birds rest.
Charlie Sue urged me to share the picture window. She happily jumps onto me and the much neglected easy chair. The drapes are pulled aside and the coffee table is out of the way. She loves watching the various bird feeder sources and sometimes relaxes in a nap.
