The Conference of Presidents walked solemnly into the meeting room, carefully picking their seats.
They needed to perform a quadruple-miracle:
1. Get Ski a call before anyone realizes he has CRM status.
2. Get Doebler out of Round Rock, Texas, so Kudu Don and the fired SP can build their kingdom - in a rich suburb instead of an urban area.
3. Get Ski out of the Anything Goes District, since the clergy who approved his status do not want him.
4. Get someone in that bankrupt bar in downtown Appleton, so people stop asking pointed questions.
Now everyone awaits the decisions.
Ski gets to go where he can see what Church and Change does for a mission congregation. Why not move to Savoy, Illinois and spend some of that mission offering loot and Thrivent money to repair the damage caused by his former boss, Tim Glende? That is another Church and Change lab. The new building has a coffee bar, one of the essentials demanded by the high church faction of WELS and/or the typical Pentecostal parish.
