The History of the NKJV Bible

In 1611, the King James Version of the Holy Bible was published in England. No other book has had as much impact on the world as this historic translation. Earlier century scholars maintained the translation by modifying grammar, spelling and word usage to keep the biblical language alive and relevant for each new generation. In 1769, updates to the King James Version ceased, and its words continue to be cherished today. In the last thirty years, more than forty modern translations of the Bible have been published, and the King James Version continues to be the overwhelmingly favorite translation.

In 1975, more than two-hundred years since the King James Version’s last update, the boldest and most extensive revision in the history of modern Bible publishing began. With a 130-person team of Greek, Hebrew, and English scholars, editors, church leaders, and Christian laity Thomas Nelson Publishers sought to preserve the accuracy and poetry of the King James Version, but in a language that the everyday person could understand. In 1979 the NKJV New Testament was finished, releasing only the Book of Psalms in 1980. In 1982, the New King James Version was released in its entirety, seven years after its commission, making it the fifth major revision to the beloved King James Version.

GJ - King James himself did not want a lot of footnotes, which steadfastly change the message of the Bible. The KJV is stingy with notes. The New KJV employs new edits and footnote$, which help to $how that they own the copyright for the every-changing New KJV. Ditto the NIV and the rest.

The Westcott-Hort Greek New Testament, which I own, has no footnotes to explain why they changed the text, erasing such words and phrases as "the Son of God" Mark 1 - and Mark 16:9-20. Didja notice that Presiding ELCA Bishop Liz Eaton said in her Easter 2024 message that Mark's Gospel ended at Mark 16:8 ("for they were afraid")? The Bogus Beck Bible from Christian News does the same.

What Are the Major Errors in the LCMS-WELS-ELS-ELDONA-CLC (sic)?

Readers! Do you realize that all the sects listed above -  LCMS-WELS-ELS-ELDONA-CLC (sic) - have spitefully rejected the Scriptures, working in harmony with the ELCA-Methodist-Calvinist-Catholic groups? The fragmented Lutherans love every Bible - except the KJV - because the King James uses the Apostolic (Traditional) Text of the New Testament and the historic Old Testament in Hebrew. 

All the modern Bibles - including the Bogus Beck Bible for Buck$ - participate in multiple errors, including such atrocities as ending Mark's Gospel with Mark 16:8, which is like hearing "I have something to........." Overall, the Bible brokers enjoy erasing words, verses, and passages. They are deliberately destroying faith this way, because the minority apostate Bibles question - erratically - the basic teaching of the Word of God. They use their half-digested works, like vomit, to appall and confuse people since they have so many variations. 

The National Council of Churches Bibles - Revised Standard Version, New Revised Standard Version, English Standard Version - started off with denying the Virgin Birth of Christ in the RSV, off and on, but always keeping the question, whether virgin birth was in the footnote or the text. Those who buy NCC Bibles are paying them money and promoting their radical Leftist and anti-heterosexual agenda. The NCC pioneered the removal of the Virgin Birth of Christ, so what else is there to prove? Oh, so much more.

ELCA-LCMS-ELDONA ( together as one in papal hypnosis) loves the trappings of Roman Catholicism, intense about traditions from Rome but awfully lax about what the Scriptures and the Reformation teach. The left-behind papal Lutherans enjoy praising their fellow pastors who move up to Rome - like Richard John Neuhaus. The ALPB Online Discussion Forum maintains an elderly coven hoping to make the change or encourage the brave smells and belles. 

All this apostasy, in various flavors, comes from the pellucid dishonesty of the 19th century:

The hilariously bad forgery of Codex Sinaiticus was "discovered" by Tischendorf, pure white leather pages until it was convenient to make them look old, very old, and all smeared up. Hahaha.

The papal release of Codex Vaticanus, which conveniently helped Tischendorf to have something as bogus as his suddenly discovered 1500 year old leather work which the monks were going to burn to keep the library warm. Hahahaha. Have you smelled the aroma of burning leather?

The snake oil salesman Tischendorf put his 50 honorary titles on the title page of a book. Insecure? 

 

Westcott and Hort, very close friends, put together a secret Greek New Testament for the scribblers of the Revised KJV, 1881, which was unreadable and impossible to fix. That secret Greek New Testament was printed at the same time as the Revised KJV. Yes, I have a copy of that. As I have published before, the Westcott/Hort Gospel of Mark starts with "The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Omitted without any mention - "The Son of God."

No, the other Bibles were not that bad, but many followed the invented missing ending of Mark 16, which lost verses 9-20, the empty tomb and the resurrection of Christ. 

The modern Bibles as a whole, disparage faith in Jesus Christ and His divinity. They march out of order, so their apostate friends can say, "But this Bible, translated by great scholars, do not agree with your old KJV!" Their droppings are everywhere but never consistent.

One final note should be stressed - The KJV was edited by 50 of the greatest language scholars, at the peak of the English language, with enormous backgrounds in languages. Using Tyndale's great language ability, they formed a unified, English Bible that went all over the world and still dominates American Bible readers today. 

The quickie translators of today are often nitwits whose twaddle is paraded as the greatest thing since diet candy. 

The Lutheran sects have failed because they rest their clownish dogma on Calvinism, Pietism, Unitarianism, and the management virtuosity of Fuller Seminary and adulterous Willow Creek. Their solemn announcements are junk food for their managers, poison for the members.

ELCA eats up their offal too, but adds papal dressing to make it taste better.

Dogmatics - The Antidote

and Matt the Fatt says it best.

Previously I described three gigantic failures in the dogmatics business:

1. Charlotte Kirschbaum's and her lover's effort - Barth's Church Dogmatics.
2. Braaten-Jenson's misnamed Christian Dogmatics, which cries out for a name, like Misthaufen.
3. The Missouri Synod's Dogma-tanic.

Luther simply worked on the text itself, since he already knew how Aquinas and the rest filled libraries with gigantic but unreadable theology tomes. 

Dogmatics are like the footnotes in Bibles, bound to send people in the wrong direction, always quite deliberate.

The New King James Version is actually the NIV of KJVs, cleverly done with footnotes, something the RSV (from the Marxist National Council of Churches) revived.

The original King James did not like the way the Geneva Bible created an alternate Bible in the footnotes. The footnotes easily become the real content.  It works like this on candy.

Bible footnotes are anonymous and yet carry a lot of weight, as if the alternate NKJV readings, from the scoundrels and fakes of modernism, have the same status as Majority Text.

Virtually all the alternate readings are from the jowls of Westcott and Hort, who were unbelievers raging to make their Greek New Testament the standard - without any explanations for removing text. That GNT catastrophe, now 150 years old, remains dominant in all modern Bibles. 

Is Creation a Minor Issue or the Elephant in the Room?

Just as the 1960s will not go away, the 19th century controls the 21st century - not a good sign of progress. So many major issues remain from the  1800s:

1. Count Tischendorf and the Pope unveiled the fraudulent Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus, two documents ideal for undermining the New Testament. The fallacies of watered-down Christianity have conquered the critics of their antagonistic craft, dragging down every denomination by the start of this century. 

2. ELCA Pastor Peter Marty (son of Martin Marty) is both a radical Left editor of The Christian Century and an enthused Church Growth parish pastor. The poorly educated editor of Christian News continues the Otten mission of supporting false texts (The Beck Bible). Like Marty, Cub Editor Hale supports Universalism and despises Justification by Faith.

2. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels criticized British colonialism, replacing it over time with Marxist colonialism. The slavery of the masses was not vanquished but began working under a new management. Why be limited to African slavery when the rest of the world could be also be chained in place, a bright and shiny New World Order?

3. Royal families were dethroned to make way for store-bought kings and queens. Instead of Queen Victoria, England has socialism, where it began in the British Museum Reading Room. Equally powerful, France enjoys the suppression of freedom under its dictatorial government, just as Germany and Cana do. The sum of all fears is gathered up in the current American political leadership.

4. Completing the task, the seminaries of American Christianity are dedicated to removing the Biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek from the pot-infused minds of their students, who have more in common with Imperial Rome than with our Founding Fathers. The denominational leaders, whether labeled liberal or conservative, continue the decline started in the 19th century. They promote the marketing dunces of Church Growth and suppress the use, even the name of the King James Bible. Look at their lists of Bible translations to be used - the NIV for idiots, the ESV for cultured idiots, the RSV for the little Antichrists, and the Beck Bible for beer-soaked conservative wannabees. Those lists often include the bloated paraphrases - the living or the amplified Bibles - but they will not include the dominant and best one, for over 400 years - the KJV.

 Tischendorf's "discovery" of Sinaiticus was stage-managed for the world by unbelievers, from the Pope to the rationalistic Biblical "scholars."

 Westcott and Hort conspired with the KJV revisors to have their Greek New Testament the secret but official text of the 19th century KJV revision, for the British Empire and for America. The translation was so bad that no one would buy it, and the leaders could not find a way to repair the damage. Nevertheless, today's genius scholars and theologians promote the Tischendorf-Westcott-Hort follies and mock the KJV.

The First Thing I Noticed - Two Typos

 

 Steal a forgery and make the Tsar pay for it, then get Britain to pay Stalin for it.

 Tischendorf just had too many co-inky-dinks in his narrative to be believed.

Last night, I was getting a little tired after a day of correcting and improving The Bible Book. I was sipping Brazilian coffee, pour-over of course, and looking at posts. I discovered two typos right away. I missed the "e" on one, literally on the number one, and a beginning quotation mark. I said to Sassy, "What a world! What a world!" I had just finished looking for a source, which was on Google, not in the leaflet I was reading.

Thus my little digression on typos. They multiply with age, like those skin anomalies that keep my dermatologist well fed.

The dramatic part of all this is not only a greater appreciation for the King James Version, but also an unraveling of the Great Codex Fraud. We have two giant codices (codex = bound book), Aleph and Vaticanus, vellum (skin) and bound, neither one having a definite birth or any children. The person connected to two of great codices is Count Tischendorf, really the Count Dracula of text studies, sneaking around, draining the blood of innocent people at night, feeding his ego.

Let me rehearse the story of the "finding" of Sinaiticus in or around a monastery library. 

1. Tischendof found a basket of codex pages (unbound!), a portion of the "world's oldest Bible" destined for the fire.
2. The fire might have been for warming the library or just for burning the garbage. Scholars are divided, since animal skin (vellum) does not burn well and scholars do not destroy ancient books.
3. He rescued them, created a self-glorifying book about them, and named them after his Roman Catholic sponsor and king.
4. He came back much later and took the rest of Aleph to the Tsars for "copying" and kept it there. In reality, #3 and #4 are called "stealing" in the Ten Commandments.
5. A known forger said Aleph was his own work, created for the Tsar but artificially aged. Several early witnesses said the "world's oldest Bible" had white skin and was supple - pretty amazing for 1500 years. Like Madonna's skin, it does not bear a close examination.
6. Tischendorf also got to see and write about Codex Vaticanus.
7. Aleph and Vaticanus became the excuse for replacing the Majority (Traditional, Byzantine, Textus Receptus, Ecclesiatical) Text with the patchwork (now called eclectic) Westcott-Hort text.
8. Westcott-Hort, like Tischendorf, were sneaky liars who forced their own text on the 1881 KJV revision, overall a failure but 50 years later the new way to publish the Greek New Testament. All the colleges and seminaries follow Westcott-Hort in the name of Nestle-Aland, the modern stooges.
9. All objections to this con job have been silenced under a blanket of personal attacks.
10. The modern text critics ignore dealing with this swindle and praise each other, but the overwhelming majority of Bible readers still use the King James Version. 

Westcott-Hort came up with their own patchwork or "eclectic" Greek New Testament, basically the one all Lutheran college and seminary students use. TLH used the KJV, but the newest WELS worship book is all New NIV.

 This is how the WELS New NIV was snipped and clipped together, so they warned members about snip and clip Bibles! Those guys are so much fun when they are drinking, which is most of the time.

Who Has Benefited from Ecumenism and Institutional Mergers? Answer - The Apostates, Who Now Have the Money and Properties

Unionism is the term used by Lutherans who claim their forefathers came over to avoid the forced Prussian Union of Calvinist and Lutheran Churches. The idea was to keep the Lutherans silent about the Calvinists' rejection of:

1. The Spirit and Word at work together;
2. The efficacy of the Word;
3. The Real Presence of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion.
4. Holy Baptism, like the Eucharist is the Visible Word with divine effect.

Bishop Martin Stephan claimed persecution under those rules. Like his episcopal title, that was something he dreamed up on his own, to facilitate intimacy with young women who came down with his horrid disease - syphilis. 

 Walther, the American Calvin is available in print and on Kindle.

Stephan and the Walther circle of pastors were all Pietists, so their separatism had more to do with being apart from the sinful world than being together with Calvinists. Pietists downplayed doctrinal differences. Stephan was under house arrest when he ordered his followers to leave, so his courtroom losses were were issues of misused funds and young women. His followers covered that up until Walther organized a riot in Perryville, Missouri, at a convenient time, stealing Stephan's gold, property, clothes, and books.  

The Prussian Union was a merger that severely damaged the cause of Lutheran doctrine in Europe, but Americans soon forget. By the time of World War I, all the Lutherans wanted to work together for war relief. Various Lutheran bodies began helping a war-ravaged Europe by sending food, clothing, and needed goods overseas. The leaders said, "But don't let me catch you praying together." (I made that up.)

The Great Depression caused Lutherans to think the Depression was their fault rather than the power bestowed on the Federal Reserve private banking act. Liberal Lutherans and mainline denominations favored or at least tolerated Rauschbusch and the Social Gospel Movement. The Social Gospel leaders promoted Socialism, and all true Socialists are Marxists in three-piece suits.

World relief and the Social Gospel paved the path to mergers of all denominations. Each one set a course for rationalistic views of the Bible (Jesus was only a man, and there were no miracles were basic dogmas.) The more they merged denominations, schools, and seminaries, the more the institutions began failing and begging for more mergers.

Now the apostate leaders of LCMS-WELS-ELS-ELCA-CLC have all the money, endowments, and property - but they loathe Biblical, Lutheran doctrine. They despise the King James Bible because they make money being vassals of the Calvinist, rationalistic, and pope-loving NIV and ESV Bibles. They emphasize the Roman Catholic Apocrypha, and ELDONA routinely bangs the drum for these non-canonical books. They should work on their violations of the Eighth Commandment and the Adiaphora article in the Formula of Concord before they lecture their tiny audience on the Apocrypha. (Note an "apocryphal story" is a common label for a claim without verification.)

But wait! Below is an honest view of the Apocrypha.

Westcott and Hort, who loathed the Majority Text of the King James and Luther Bibles, forced the minority Sinaiticus (Aleph) and Vaticanus (B) on the Revision committee, keeping that a secret until the moment the stillborn Revision was issued in 1881. Sneaky, dishonest, crafty, self-serving? Those men are the idols of text scholars todays.
