Spaude Receives Call as Prep President.
MLS Turned Down More Often Than George McGovern

How far can the board go?

Spaude receives call as MLS president | Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS): "On Sept. 9, the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Governing Board called Rev. Timothy Spaude, pastor at St. Jacobi, Greenfield, Wis., to serve as president of Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS), Saginaw, Mich., one of two preparatory schools operated by the synod.

A 1994 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Spaude also has served at Cross of Christ, Universal City, Texas.

“This call is to a very important position at a very important part of our worker training system,” says Spaude. “I will be praying a lot, asking a lot of questions, and listening a lot. Oh, and did I say praying a lot?”

Spaude, who had three uncles who served as MLS professors, requests prayers for MLS, for St. Jacobi, and for himself—“that the Lord lead me to know where he wants me to serve him.”

Rev. Paul Zell, a professor at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, returned the call as MLS president in August. The position has been vacant since Sept. 17, 2010, when Rev. Aaron Frey resigned the position. Dr. William Zeiger, vice president of MLS, is serving as president during the vacancy."

Be a Clown, Be a Clown, Everyone Loves a Clown.

This was old, trite, hackneyed 50 years ago.

Lenski is evil, according to Tim Glende, so we can ignore his entire New Testament commentaries. JP Meyer is much better.

Nevermind JP Meyer. He is old and irrelevant.

Katy Perry Has Probably Added a New Clause in the Contract:
No More Poses with Slobbering Fans

bored has left a new comment on your post "Tim Glende Did Not Transform This Narcissist":

I didn't see a line in the rider about banning the backstage area to pathetic Lutheran (sic) pastors.

Obviously the rider you found was outdated--pre Glende/Ski.

GJ - Does anyone else think the WELS/LCMS/ELS congregations are following this model?

This sounds just like The CORE, except The CORE is much tinier and exists on subsidies from a rich dude and skimming members from local WELS congregations.

I wonder if this pastor plagiarizes sermons too. He does list them on his website, unlike Ski and Glende.

She did not marry him for his looks.
And he failed to realize he was marrying the Witch of Endor.

Quote of the Day - About Change and Die! Conference

I learned that Ski backed out of speaking at the Change and Die! conference, so I told my wife.

Mrs. Ichabod said, "Then why bother to hold the conference?"

Plagiarist Tim Glende Unburdened Himself
On Ron Ash Wednesday

Earlier Glende denounced me for using the graphics of websites and blogs,
but he copies mine without permission.
I am glad for the extra coverage. His parents must be proud of their plagiarist son.
Tim's parents are WELS teachers. His uncle is John Brug.

Dr. Gregory L. Jackson, the Charlie Sheen of Lutheranism

The postings on Dr. Gregory L. Jackson's blog are getting more ridiculous. Below is a fine example of the "pastor" without a call's visual rantings. He's reminding us of Charlie Sheen, the self-destructive actor who got canned from his job on a TV show and is now making a fool of himself on web videos and TV talk shows. Dr. Jackson got canned from several positions he has held, and now he has nothing better to do than ruin the reputations of others with ridiculous pictures and off-colored commentary. For someone with an earned doctorate, we would expect better. Dr. Jackson brags about all the visitors to his blog, "Ichabod the Glory Has Departed", but he has less (sic - fewer) than a handful who take him seriously. That number is getting less and less (sic - fewer and fewer), as his readers come to the enlightenment that this guy really doesn't know how to tell the truth.

***

GJ - Tim's member, an attorney, has written long letters about the lying, deceit, and plagiarism of Groeschel at St. Peter in Freedom. He has offered the evidence to prove that Tim steals his material from non-Lutheran Groeschel and does not attribute it, pretending he wrote the sermons. Glende's buddy Ski does the same thing, although I hear he admits to cheating.

Because of this plagiarism, both boys would be thrown out of school or their precious diplomas taken away, in any normal situation. Both boys would be fired and forced to work for a living, too. I say "boys" because their emotional maturity remains adolescent, as shown in their published poses with Katy Perry. Most married men with children would not think it cool to brag about posing with an untalented singer known for abandoning the Gospel to sing porno-songs.

But then, Ski is the only pastor I know who has to warn children away from his services, because of the porno-content.

The CORE is a choice example of smoke and mirrors. Ski's personal sandbox is not another congregation, but just another site for St. Peter, Freedom. Ski is on the staff of St. Peter, Freedom, but allowed to act as if he has a separate ministry. The money blown by Glende and Ski would float a number of schools or scholarships, but Glende came from a town (Columbus) where money bought false doctrine and rented false teachers. The net result of The CORE is gathering a bunch of WELS members from local WELS congregations.

Ash, Ski, and Glende set up their plaything in spite of objections from their brother pastors.

I do not get the Charlie Sheen connection. I do not keep a keg of beer on hand at the Ich-abode. I do not brag about knowing a porn princess (showing off her photos) or pose with a Playboy model. Pastor Tim should aim his volleys at Ski, Fox Valley's beery sexpert. The rock music they promote is not known for being background music to sobriety - just the opposite. Tim and Ski are in the entertainment business; I am not.

Tim's grasp of the facts is no better than his sentence structure, spelling, or doctrine. Let's say he was completely correct and I was far worse than anything he has ever posted. Would that absolve him of plagiarism, false doctrine, unionism, bullying members, and unbrotherly conduct with his fellow pastors? I think not.

Church and Change justifies their false doctrine through the vilification of their critics. Nothing is too low for them, as Glende has already shown in his other anonymous blog, which he de-loused and removed when he was found out. The only creative graphic he could muster was a picture of people eating cat excrement from a toilet. That is Tim Glende's style. He also thought that attacking my sainted daughters would justify his behavior, but he never mentioned that he visited Erin Joy in the hospital.

Yesterday was a bitter one for Ron Ash and his young minions. WELS does not admit to any error, any mistake, any misuse of funds. It is utter humiliation for Church and Change to dissolve (officially at least) and the secret listserve to blow up (already replaced with another secret one, I am sure).

The deceivers will not stop deceiving, but they have been handed a public rebuke.

Sure, Tim, no one takes me seriously. A few years ago, I was the only one who wrote about this. Now three blogs or websites deal with the same issues at once. Bailing Water was another step in that direction.

I had a flurry of emails from various people, the moment Ron Ash gave another Toad of Toad Hall speech - about the glories of Church and Change.

When Aderman published another version of the same thing, I received a second flurry of copies.

Tim thinks he is watching this blog. The efficacious Word keeps hardening his heart and blinding him to the Gospel. Many people are watching him because Deputy Doug Englebrecht refuses to do his job.

Stay tuned for the next time Pastor Tim decrepitates on his blog. I will keep it linked.

The Mark of the Beast

The podcast for "Tattoos - The Mark of the Beast" has been posted to The Valley. http://dld.bz/rkNw

Someone wrote:

"I listened to it off iTunes. The first four minutes dealt with the number of tattoo parlors in Appleton, the percentage of tattoo-bearers amongst adults, etc.

For 3 1/2 minutes in the middle, he discussed five methods of removing tattoos.

How does he know so much about tattoo removal? YouTube.

He joked that it wasn't good for his life of sanctification, to spend so much time googling material for his sermon series, that he can be on YouTube for 3 to 4 hours.

Yes, he really said that.

Throughout, he's cracking jokes and laughing to himself.

At the end, he discussed how our tattoos that we are born with (the mark of sin/Satan) are removed and replaced with the Jesus' blood (his mark/tattoo). He quoted comforting words from the Psalms.

He did not speak about the Means of Grace."

John C. Zimdars, Jeske, Seibert Foundation:
Why You Are Lint in the Toes of the Synod's Big Boot

Standing astride three synods at once, cuz the ELS don't matter at all,
Mark Jeske defies ecclesiastical authority
and the murmurs of the hoi polloi.

The Intrepids are intrepidly waiting for an answer. The WELS Conference of Pussycats (not to be confused with the Missouri Council of Pussycats) has begged, pleaded, or cajoled Jeske and Ski to withdraw from the Seibert Foundation shindig the boys helped plan.

A total of twelve (12!) WELS pastors have signed the letter against this event. That is prit-near 1% of the entire WELS ministerium. In other words, 99% do not care.

Jeske is the biggest gasbag of the bunch, so he is the main speaker.

Ski is valued for his ability to copy and paste Groeschel sermons, download Groeschel graphics, and dance to Groeschel's music. Except for Tim Glende, no one has attended more religious conferences of more denominations than Ski.

If I did not have pressing duties, like ironing my alb, I would be there to listen to both of them.

Let me see what else this opportunity affords.

A Missouri Synod pastor, Jeff Meyer says on the brochure (not making this up, mind you):

"It is my personal vision to become the Lord's master fire-starter."

No, that is not a mistake. The same claim can be found on his blog.

Also from Pastor Jeff:

My daily focus is to:
Fix my eyes on Jesus,
Ignite a passion for Jesus,
Renew hearts and lives, &
Empower each person to be a healthy, productive leader.

He digs Visioneering, by Andy Stanley, closet Babtist.

Plenty of diligent research will uncover the fact that it is a Missouri Synod church.

the Church is a ministry associated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We are firmly committed to the mission of connecting people to life in Jesus. As we do, Jesus is transforming us into people who are living a connecting lifestyle. What is a connecting lifestyle? It is a life that is lived on purpose, attempting to connect others to life in Jesus by sharing the love of God and the message of Jesus Christ. It’s not a program or event, it’s a way of life!

Rev. Jeff Dorth has this illiterate paragraph on his beliefs page:

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is active among us today bringing conviction when a person has done wrong and creates the desire for ones (sic) forgiveness in Jesus Christ. He regenerates their (our?) heart and lives within them. His ongoing work is to guide, instruct and empower the believer (another change of person) to Godly (sic) living.

The same confusion can be found at another LCMS church here. Verbatim! Whom copied whom, as they say in Mequon. Neither congregation shows a whiff of Lutheran doctrinal knowledge. Both are feathered with Schwaermer language.

Line Up for Gay Marriage
Since Thrivent is involved, ELCA was not neglected. Rev. Ken Wheeler has an urban congregation in Milwaukee, Cross Lutheran. I wonder how they announce "The Cross Lutheran Ladies will meet on Tuesday" etc.

Cross is a Reconciling in Christ congregation.

The stated purpose of this all-synod (except the ELS) conference is - to rescue Lutheran congregations from catastrophic decline. Thrivent did the same thing 18 years ago with the lavishly funded Membership Initiative, which also involved all three synods.

This reminds me of a passage in Hitchhiker's Guide, where the use of the Babelfish allowed all civilizations to understand perfectly what the others were saying. That unleashed the bloodiest war in galactic history.

Likewise, all three synods declined even faster after the last Thrivent rescue attempt.

Can you envision  anything here except massive egos, false doctrine, and begging for grant money?

The "conservative" Lutheran congregations are now so bankrupt that they have to steal members from the Enthusiasts by being Enthusiasts, hiding the Word and Sacraments, driving away the last remaining confessional members.

Most of the clergy do not give a rip, because their own leaders have been in on this scam for about 40 years.

John C. Zimdars is a very big deal in insurance, estate planning, and investments. He is involved with Wisconsin Lutheran College and Time of Generic Grace. In other words, it takes big bucks to be on these boards. Zimdars is also on the Seibert Foundation board.

Here I am, doing your homework, finding the links.

Deception and CG Began in Columbus, Ohio:
Where Glende Grew Up.
Tragedy and Farce

The St. Peter Ski/Glende debacle is an open, weeping sore in their own district of WELS. The new Change or Die! pan-Lutheran conference is just another symptom.

The holier-than-thou WELS leaders do not like having me rehearse their pathetic history in Columbus, Ohio, where this really started. Glende and Ski are proof of the adage:

History always repeats itself twice: first time as tragedy, second time as farce. - Karl Marx

The Missouri District, LCMS, District President kicked Floyd Luther Stolzenburg out of the ministry after he was caught in flagrante delicto. The DP stopped at the church on Saturday, forced a resignation, and preached instead of Floyd on Sunday.

Floyd's first wife divorced him. The aggrieved husband sued Floyd, the parish, and various LCMS entities. The lawsuit and divorce papers are in the public record.

Floyd told everyone he had a "Scriptural divorce." The WELS pastors knew better, but Floyd latched onto George Skestos donations to create a Church Growth agency for WELS. Dave Peters (Union Grove) was vicar at St. Paul, German Village, at the time and wrote an essay on it. The WELS pastors called him a liar and an idiot for telling the truth about Lutheran Parish Services.

The circuit pastor, whose church (St. Paul, German Village) did not even belong to WELS, had semi-open commmunion and Lodge members, knew the truth. Skestos was a member of his church. Skestos was also a member of Marc Schroeder's congregation. As Richard Starr said, Skestos went to St. Paul with his wife and to Prince of Peace with his mistress. Big laugh.

Marc hated his first wife out of the parsonage and married a teacher at St. Paul, a girl he knew from earlier days, but a prof's daughter, so that was A-OK.

WELS ended up with two divorced ex-ministers running their Church Growth agency - Floyd Luther Stolzenburg and Roger Zehms (Martin Luther, St. Louis). Both of them loved CG, but Zehms was more subtle about it. Both were paid by Skestos and worked out of his real estate office.

There is a lot more to this but I will stick to what is in the public record or witnessed and known by many different sources.

I spent five years uncovering all the lies and false doctrine involved with this gang. Kovaciny was at Lamb of God in Columbus. He is still Floyd's lapdog.

Floyd attracted a whole pack of lapdogs, because of Skestos money. John Shep courted him. Jay Webber, guardian of Little Sect doctrine, had no problems with Kovo preaching at Floyd's new Masonic church and bagging the money for Thoughts of Faith. Marvin Schwan's Foundation kicked in money to match Floyd's. Oh, I would love to see the forensic accountants follow that trail.

Floyd's church was investigated by the police for embezzling.

In short, these pastors and officials did nothing to stop the spread of false doctrine, the promotion and new congregation of Stolzenburg. They fed the sheep to the wolf:
  1. DP Robert Mueller, Michigan District.
  2. District VP Paul Kuske, Michigan District.
  3. DP John Seifert, Michigan District.
  4. The Michigan District Praesidium, two of whom were known adulterers.
  5. Circuit Pastor Keith Roehl, St. Paul, German Village.
  6. Roger Kovaciny, Lamb of God, then Thoughts of Faith. WELS and ELS.
  7. Jay Webber, Cape G., then Cape Cod, then Thoughts of Faith.
  8. Wayne Laitenen, Ohio Conference Chairman.
  9. Rich Krause, DMin, Ohio Conference Chairman.
  10. Circuit Pastor Keith Roehl.
  11. Wally Oelhafen, District Mission Board Chairman.
  12. Fred Adrian, District Mission Board Chairman.
  13. Laity on the District Mission Board.
  14. John Shep.
  15. The Ohio Conference pastors, who saw all this develop, knew the facts, and avoided dealing with anything. One of them, Keith Free, is now in charge of missions for all of WELS.
Tim Glende - St. Paul, German Village Tim never says on his anonymous blog that I know him back to the ninth grade. He visited Erin Joy in the hospital. When we moved to Columbus for my call in WELS, we gave Tim and his brother rides back and forth, Columbus to MLS. We knew their parents were busy at St. Paul's, so Tim and Tom always had a seat when we took extra trips back and forth.

Tim's parents were always very nice. We went to many St. Paul's events. We also knew his grandfather, taking him on trips to Mequon. We stayed at his uncle John Brug's house at Mequon.

Because the WELS/ELS pastors refused to do their sworn duties as clergy, avoiding their obligations as citizens, Tim grew up in a jungle of apostasy and wink-wink adultery.

Have a few dozen flings with married women and teens as a "conservative" LCMS pastor? No problem - you can teach at St. Paul's, lie about your divorce, and pretend to be a pastor again. In fact, VP Paul Kuske and Pastor Robert Schumann will write letters of recommendation so you can get another call and really be a CG pastor again.

As for those who get in the way of clergy adultery being rewarded and false doctrine being spread, we will pound them into the ground like a tent-stake, while praising you to Heaven.

Of course, this is going to cost a lot of money. We don't sell indulgences for free. If the money flows, so will the cheap grace.

Everything happening in Appleton was started by the money-grubbing wolves in Columbus. The first was a tragedy; Appleton is the farce.

Loathing and Disgust

I have attempted to put a WELS member's letter in the post below. It has been posted on the Rick Techlin's blog.

More later.

In case you wonder, I have no contact at all with the attorney, Rick Techlin. None. His material is all public. You may judge it for yourself on his original posts.

If this concerns you, write a letter.

Doug will say, "Hahahahahahahahaha."

More UOJ Work To Do.
How To Use Social Networking

Check out Ski's latest excellent adventure:
http://www.wlchapel.org/downloads/pdf/wintergetaway2011.pdf

I will be fixing up the format of the various UOJ essays I have posted. If you want your comments to be on the sticky posts, use that menu on the left. Many have requested them and the Harley files, which I am posting next.

I have tried to enhance social networking on the posts. Look at the icons below each post. You can email the post, Tweet the post, or link it on Facebook.

I Tweet almost all posts because there is a growing list of followers. Twitter sends out a URL (link) to the people on the list. Tweeting also enhances the post for Google searches.

Speaking of Tweets, many people enjoy the birding posts as much I enjoy writing them.

Sometimes God Says "Hey!" - BOREmeister Ski.
Shares Old WELS Church with Christ the Rock Community Church for Sunday Services

The BORE holds its weekly worship service at 5:30 p.m. Sundays at OuterEdge in downtown Appleton. (Post-Crescent photo by Ron Page)

When Ben and Lyssa King turned the former Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church into an entertainment venue, which opened in late June, they had no idea what it might become. They’re still not quite sure.

Read more: http://www.postcrescent.com/article/20101206/APC04/101203116/The-Core-s-use-of-OuterEdge-reflects-a-shift-in-how-the-facility-is-being-used#ixzz17LJXlYsc

“Even though our business plan is changing,” Lyssa King said, “we’re glad we put what we did into the technology because it’s really bringing an element that the Valley didn’t have. We thought that element was going to be used for A, but now it’s being used for B.”

Yes, the model has changed. No longer are the Kings merely calling other people to promote concerts, they are receiving calls saying, “We need you.”

One of those calls came from the Rev. Jim Skorzewski, pastor of  The BORE, an outreach ministry of St. Peter Groeschel Church in Freedom. The church occupied the former Big Picture Theater on Washington Street for 18 months until another church put in an offer to purchase the space.

“We had been looking at our options anyway, and sometimes God says, hey,” Skorzewski said. “We made the move the last Sunday in October. We actually started the service in The Big Picture and ended in the OuterEdge. We transitioned everybody over right after the sermon. …

“As you (sic) transition from building to building, our people were worried about that week in between when you’re (sic) kind of like church nomads because a lot of people hadn’t been in the new space. By transitioning over, that took away a lot of their fears. So the next week when they came, it was just like we’re coming home again.” [GJ - Like totally, dude. Where did you learn English? I remember - WELS awesomely excellent school system.]

The fact the OuterEdge is a former WELS church fit in with the ideals of The BORE. And the sound system and ability to tape services in HD and then rebroadcast them online also fits in with the church’s goal to be non-churchy but very Groeschely.
Publish Post
The Kings invested $1 million in restoring the interior of the former church, and outfitting it with numerous technical innovations for lighting, filming and high definition live-streaming.

“There’s some really neat energy in that place and it creates a really good worship environment,” Skorzewski said. “And the facility allows us to do the kind of ministry we want to do.”

“We’re just honored to be helping him in any way we can,” Ben King said.
While always maintaining a faith-based bias, not every event held at OuterEdge will be religious in nature but the goal is always to present a good, positive message, Ben said.

In addition to concerts, they’ve hosted weddings, receptions and training sessions as well as catered luncheons. Christ the Rock Community Church also holds Sunday worship services at OuterEdge.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans partnered with Time of Grace Ministries in Milwaukee to host a donor event featuring a Christian rock band, catered dessert reception and a speaker.

“It’s centrally located downtown, and they have the parking there,” said Jennifer Rohan, Thrivent member financial engagement specialist.

Local band Boxcar recently utilized the space to film a broadcast-quality video there.
And this past weekend, KidStage performing arts program for children held performances of “The Little Mermaid” at the OuterEdge.

“The facility has a beautiful, intimate atmosphere plus all the wonderful equipment that they provide in the theater: State-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment and the fact that they also have video equipment to film all our productions that parents can purchase,” said Mark Cain, who, along with his wife, Karen, owns KidStage.

Next year, OuterEdge will be the site of a Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby corporate event for adults. DP Doug Englebrecht will excommunicate any WELS members spotted at the Pinewood Derby event. And Christ the Rock Community Church will hold The Princess Project there, which gives prom dresses and accessories to princesses in need.

“The OuterEdge is constantly evolving, I can tell you that,” Ben King said. “What we’re finding is what we thought the Valley wanted is being tweaked. There’s just a need for space, a place to meet and to congregate.”

IN WORSHIP

The BORE holds its weekly church service event at 5:30 p.m. Sundays at the OuterEdge, 303 N. Oneida St. (downtown Appleton, corner of Oneida and Franklin streets). For more info, visit www.getsobored.com.

Christ the Rock Community Church holds a weekly worship service at OuterEdge as well. It takes place at 10 a.m. Sundays. See www.christtherock.org.

Try to discern a difference between the two. Seriously.

Philippians 3:18-19

Philippians 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

KJV Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
