To Share a Smile from 1832 Miles Away

The phone rang and the panel lit up - Andy. Christina was not entirely awake. I had tried to elicit a smile, but the meds were winning. Andrea (Andy) called out, "I LOVE YOU GRAMMIE!"

Christina broke out into a huge smile and listened to the mother-daughter back and forth. Andy did not want to give up the phone at all; sometimes she speed dials us.

Christina fell back to sleep with a beautiful smile on her face.

 

 "Sometimes staff resist my direct orders."

Pray for Andrea's Retina Surgery This Thursday

Andrea will have retina surgery on Thursday. Her parents appreciate your prayers.

Gracious Heavenly Father, guide the doctors and medical team who are helping Andrea in her two eye surgeries. Give them strength, patience, and wisdom in their care for her. Help her parents during this time with patience, hope, faith, and joy in the people who pray for her and them. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Andrea Grew Strong in the Phillipines and is Home Now

The baby's mother - Ivy - was visiting family in the Philippines when Andrea decided to be born, three months early. She was tiny and had trouble with the most basic nutrition.

Now Ivy and Andrea are home in California with husband and dad Randy.

They gave me permission to post of a photo of the baby so many prayed for - daily.
