Lost in the Swirl of Paganism - America the Lost and Bewildered

The various Popes carried out the powers and persecutions of their paganism, far from the Scriptures yet using and abusing the Word of God.

Few people today consider the gigantic rush of literacy flowing from the German Reformation via Luther-Melanchthon-Chemnitz. The much-adored Zwingli and Calvin were poor copycats and misfits.

The Germanic Reformation flowed into England - efforts to gain a precise King James Version. Instead of being enslaved like Rome, they went to America to enjoy the freedom of religion and speech -

  • English and German
  • Greek and Latin.

Why would anyone troop to the paganism loved by the fakery? Even today the most serious have great jokes about everything they "teach." Great fun. One has to be in Roman Catholic graduate study to see and hear what they really believe (not much!)

Time Is Way Overdue for The Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic).

I have given the Four Waltherian Sects many chances to reveal how this famous Halle University Pietist, like Bishop Martin Stephan, managed to bypass the Scriptures and Luther himself.

Jack Kilcrease, like Brenner, is Jesuit trained, like six other "conservative" pastors.
When did the Lutherans begin milking the Society of Jesus for theologians?

Many years ago a pastor phoned me about all his problems with the LCMS. I was very sympathetic, because I saw very little difference between the ELCA, LCMS, and WELS. He wanted to know what to do. I said, "You are always involved in all these synod meetings. Gather the people who agree with you and stop going."

"Are you kidding?"

I was not kidding. The managers (they are not leaders) need people to show up to activate the agenda. If very few show up - just like in church - they know the message.

"We can do that?"

I said - sure! I suggested it in Christian News with one of the Fuller Seminary meetings all over the synod. Very few went. Growthers glared at me a bit later.

This pastor thought he would try that. Soon after he was in Christian News, nominated for a position in the LCMS - hogtied, as they say. Some people cannot give up their connections.

I know there are groups of congregations here and there, who walked out of their buildings or kept the buildings. The building matters very little. I could buy a church building not far away, but for what reason? To have more rent, more utilities, more things to fix?

I feel bad for the Episcopal congregations that were kicked out of their buildings by the previous Presiding Bishop, only to see the churches locked up out of spite. The future is not in brick and mortar but in broadcasting the Word of God. Vimeo is a joke, but Zoom works very well at the same cost.

The Lutheran seminaries are snake-pits of political intrigue and terminal disease. Not just some of them, but all of them - The Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic)

Some Questions about

The Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic)

Since St. Paul teaches Justification by Faith, just as Jesus Christ does, why do none of those chuckle-heads teach the Chief Article of Christianity?

If their Objective Faithless Justification is so pure, godly, and heaven-sent, then why are they unable to defend their toxic dogma in a fair, Scriptural debate against Justification by Faith?

Since the synods all have libraries of books and journals, why are they unable to look at the history of Objective Faithless Justification and discover that the LCMS and WELS started with Justification by Faith, with catechisms by Schwan and Gauzewitz?

Zwingli was bold, too.

Oh my! The Formula of Concord repudiates Buchholz before he finishes his awe-inspiring essay about his blend of Calvinism, Pietism, and Enthusiasm.

Bad News - Karl Fabrezius, SJ - Has Captured the Spirit of This Age

"You could have gone to Notre Dame, and larned something. Why are so many "confessional, conservative" Lutherans studying with the Jesuits? Most Catholics loathe the Jesuits."

The Karl Fabrezius, PhD, Society of Jesus, doctrinal breakthrough is linked here

His inspired (by whom?) statement is here.

During the Gottesdienst conference last week I was once again reminded that without good systematic doctrine exegesis will certainly go astray. Sometimes we take things for granted and the obvious gets passed over. As one of my fellow editors said, exegesis is more fun. However, if there is not a sober doctrinal framework, one might become drunk as he imbibes of the Scriptures and stumble around in all kind (sic) of dangerous territories. After all, every attractive heresy and false teaching is proclaimed to be Scriptural.

In spite of the careless words, which were probably applauded more loudly than the latest Schwan Foundation grant, Fabrezius has explained ELCA-LCMS-WELS-CLC- ELS-ELDONA perfectly.

He omitted one basic principle behind his summary - the organization is the final word on all doctrine - whether it is from one Lutheran sect or another. They are no different from the Church of Rome.

That is the deadly toxic from which Codex Fabreziensis emerges, to wit -

"Without good systematic doctrine, exegesis will certainly go astray."

To narrow it down a bit, that is why ELS-WELS-LCMS appeal to their seminaries (!) and what the pastors were taught (?!). DNA matters too.

That is how Lutheran pastors have converted to Barthian hogwash ever since Karl began promoting his regurgitated Marxist propaganda in the form of Charlotte Kirschbaum's dogmatics.

Justification without Faith (Objective Justification) can easily be refuted from the Scriptures, but no - OJ is true because the synod and "my favorite teacher" says otherwise. The dreadful NIV mockery of Romans 3 can be thwarted by their own new improved NIV. As my college students said, "Justification by Faith is still there in the NIV."

The Jesuit Fabrezius and his co-conspirators realize that they control the Scriptures by making their seminaries the last word on what the Bible teaches. Can anyone imagine the Brobdingnagian Gospel of Mark (CPH) commentary being the ruling norm? I can, because the grammarian Voelz considers Codex Vaticanus the original version of Mark, a laughable Jesuit assumption so convenient for causing confusion, doubt, and apostasy.

When lying, smirking DP Buchholz kicked Rydecki out of WELS, he wrote, "I am saddened that you no longer believe what you were taught in seminary." Buchholz left out the physical, emotional, and sexual abuse common to GA hazing rites. Who can forget those events?

Does anyone wonder why the King James Version is mocked, rejected, and ignored by the present generation of Lutheran pastors and professors? Unlike the NIV, ESV, RSV, NRSV, and even the New KJV, the Authorized Version does not change its wording every few years - and, note this - does not refer the reader to fraudulent text readings in the footnotes.

Do the Little Three (NIV, ESV, RSV) use footnotes as alternates to the KJV? Ponder that.

Fortunately, there is only one copy of Bark's Church Dogmatics.

LutherQuest (sic) Rejects the Chief Article of Christianity - So They Argue about Holy Communion

Jay Webber and DP Jon-Boy Buchholz are one with their Father Below on Justification by Faith, but they may differ with each other about Receptionism.

This is photographic proof that Jay and Jon-Boy are in the photo above.

Luther-Queasies are fond arguing with each other while avoiding their united rejection of the Chief Article of Christianity, Justification by Faith. I get warm fuzzies when they add philosophy to the mix. Say that again!

Objective Justification unleashed!

Herman Otten Criticizes Paul McCain in January 21, 2019 Christian News.
Otten Put McCain in the Purple Palace by Working with Paul Secretly and Lying

Herman Otten told me how Paul McCain, in his first and only parish, sent DP Al Barry's newsletter early to Christian News to publish and make a conservative hero out Barry. Both of them denied colluding, and Otten denied this in print.

McCain invited me to a personal tour of the Purple Palace. The phone rang and it was Otten's number. McCain did not answer it. He said, "If they knew I was talking to Otten, I would be fired."

So Otten got McCain into the Purple Palace and kept him there by denying their game after their plot succeeded. When Barry died, McCain sought grace and favor at the Shrine of the Immaculate Migration (Concordia Historical Institute) and next at Concordia Publishing House. He also had a much-praised (by McCain) blog, which was exposed later as plagiarized from Roman Catholic sources and his friends' blogs. McCain never apologized for his blog's dishonesty, but insists everyone has to apologize for offending him.

LutherQuest (sic) finally realized they were publishing McCain's links to plagiarized hagiographies from The Catholic Encyclopedia. They did not apologize to their readers or explain how easily they were fooled.

When Matt Harrison won the SP election in 2010, who showed up for a triumphant photo tour? Paul McCain.

When Barry replaced Bohlmann, Bucky Hellwig said,
"At least Bohlmann's administration was polite to us." Was he suggesting that McCain was earning his nickname in Missouri - McNasty?

Notice how papal Matt the Fatt is - "the official teachings of the Lutheran Church." That is a Roman view of dogma - why they cannot be wrong. The Book of Concord does not teach denominations but Biblical truths.

Buchholz is another inflated ego in a dying sect.
"How can you, little man, depart from the sacred truths of  our synod fathers? For that we extend - in Christian love - the Left Foot of Fellowship."

In the Name of Jesus - Against the Gospel: Buchholz' Blasphemies

Jesus Canceled Your Debt! By Pastor Jon D. Buchholz
In nomine Jesu

Objective justification under attack

A dispute has arisen among Lutheran theologians regarding the doctrine of justification. The specific question deals with the completeness of justification at Christ’s cross and empty tomb, as well as the role of faith in justification. Did God justify the world objectively, apart from the faith that receives it subjectively? Or is God’s justification only effected when an individual trusts the promise of forgiveness? Is there only one justification—that which is a completed reality by the work of Christ and received by faith? Or is the distinction between objective and subjective justification practically teaching two justifications which are separate and distinct from one another? Is justification complete apart from faith? Or is justification only completed when faith is added?

We maintain:
 God forgave the sin of the world by removing the sin of the world and placing it upon Christ. The world’s debt has been paid in full and canceled by Christ (universal forgiveness).
 In the cross and empty tomb of Christ, God really has acquitted the world of sin, so that in Christ Jesus the world’s status has been changed to “justified” before God (universal justification). On this basis, real reconciliation has been effected between God and the world (universal acquittal, universal reconciliation).
 Through the means of grace, these completed realities are proclaimed and distributed wherever the gospel goes out into the world.
 Through Spirit-worked faith, these completed realities are appropriated and received through faith, so that the forgiveness of sins and the righteousness of Christ become the possession of individual sinners (individual justification).

We understand the word "justification" to be defined according to a broader sense of the term, so that it is used in reference to the substitution of the righteousness of Christ for the world's sin; the universal verdict of "not-guilty" pronounced upon Christ as the world's substitute; the achievement of the forgiveness of sins for all people; and the personal attribution of forgiveness and imputation of the righteousness of Christ through faith.

This is the position articulated by theologians of the former Synodical Conference (false - early Missouri and WELS were Justification by Faith in their catechisms). The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod are heirs of this doctrinal position (false - no the Objective Justification fanatics gradually took over). Advocates of this position see the substance of this doctrine (if not its terminology, which arose later) taught by Luther, the Lutheran reformers, the Lutheran Confessions, and early Lutheran dogmaticians. (Yes, the lying, apostates see OJ everywhere, but OJ is not in Luther or the Book of Concord or the great doctrinal teachers like Chemnitz, Gerhard, Calov, Quenstedt. OJ is not anywhere in the Bible.)

***
GJ - Some in the LCMS and WELS, clergy and laity alike, are unaware of the basic lies of

  1. Objective Justification,
  2. aka Universal Objective Justification,
  3. aka Justification of the World,
  4. aka General Justification,
  5. aka Justification of the Sinner (Edward Preuss, who claimed everyone was justified before birth.)

WELS Abuse Will Not Be Solved Until the Sect Has Vanished -
According to a Former Circuit Pastor

The long-term influence of JP Meyer doomed a lazy and self-satisfied WELS to build and deploy a culture of ruthless bullying. They are legalistic to a fault, but also Antinomian, imaging there is no law - at least not for the right people. All this depends on their utter rejection of Justification by Faith, promotion of UOJ, and intellectural torpor.
A Circuit Pastor in WELS said, "The only cure for WELS is to tear it apart." He has done his best by enabling the worst offenders at key points, where he might have shown a little courage, a little faith in God.

The problem starts with the culture of bullying and hazing in their schools, which they brag about, regardless of the evidence about academics. Grades are given according to family ties. The children of officials get top grades no matter what. The merit system is based on the family name, which makes many of them incredibly lazy and unaware of their illiterate state. One top scientist could not get over how WELS pastors would lecture him on science because they had one course in science.

 Churches That Abuse

But it goes far beyond that. Each class likes to haze and bully the class below it. That gives the class an artificial feeling of unity. Nothing is too violent, too gross, or too foolish to foist upon the younger students. If they complain, they are never forgiven. If they tell their parents or school officials, Hell will be visited upon them.

Most important, there is only WELS. No other group is even worth being mentioned. LCMS? - curl your mouth into a snarl. ELS? - they "cherish their fellowship with the ELS" but loathe the shrimpy version of WELS. The ELS president is expected to obey his masters in WELS - and he does.

WELS pastors love to deceive people - it is a real sport for them. They lie and laugh about how they fooled everyone. They "study so hard in seminary" and the laity feel sorry for them. When I was at Mequon, the library only saw John Brug and me there, plus the underworked staff. The real training for deception is their beloved GA or HB secret initiation and hazing rite.

The idea is to fool the new students into being scared to death at the end, which is based on days of lying to them. They are told to wade in raw sewage (the pond), which SP Mark Schroeder remembers so fondly. They take off all their sewery clothes outside, in view of the female kitchen staff, but that is OK. It is GA/HB. They laugh about the violence, like breaking someone's leg or knocking a tooth out.

They finish GA/HB with a drinking party. WELS college and sem training means a lot of drinking. Many are alcoholics at graduation, and yes, they know they have a problem. Imagine alcoholic leaders clamping down on alcoholism. I can name a few of them. If someone drives his car up a utility pole, and he is married into the right family, he gets a call as a missionary. That family is mentioned with hushed tones, so it means pre-absolution.

So many WELS clergy and teachers get away with unScriptural behavior that they assume they can treat people like dogs. Many laity have told me their stories, and they remain afraid of the clergy bullies and their own families.

The object of their cold disdain finds out that this invisible sign has been built to follow everywhere.

Oh, that works so well. The WELS family networks make sure that - once the shun sign is published - the black sheep is ousted more thoroughly than a Hutterite, Orthodox Jew, or Vikings fan in Green Bay.

If a WELS pastor is a bully (prep-college-GA training) or lecherous or a drunk, pity the woman or female staffer who objects to a supervisor. WELS has a beautiful system that works to enhace false doctrine, obnoxious and immoral behavior -

  1. "Eighth Commandment! - You have slandered this innocent lamb of God."
  2. "Matthew 18! - You did not sit down with this person, hold his hand, and gently tell him his sins".
  3. "Write a letter!" This can be a deposition worthy of St. Paul or Seneca the Elder, but some phrase will be picked up and repeated constantly that shows the writer deserves the depths of Hell.
Open a can of Eighth Commandment on the dissenter.
That one looks a bit worn, don't it?

All sincere efforts to address vocational failure or false doctrine are met with same phalanx response we see in Roman Catholicism. A woman is always at fault - just keep that in mind. Speak only to a lawyer and bring a carefully written account to that meeting with the attorney. The WELS Gestapo will act against the woman and make her life miserable. They will pit husband against wife, too, and say, "See they could not get along, so they blamed Holy Mother WELS."

But there is a necklace for the victims who are women. Yes, it is invisible, but everyone can see it, and the wearer can feel it. Rejoice and leave the buggers behind.

The District Presidents use their lackeys (the Circuit Pastors) and the Mission Board members to meddle in congregations. Like the ELS or LCMS, if they want to get rid of someone to make way for a buddy, they disturb the congregation and blame the pastor. And this is the bonus - they can use the same power to rescue their buddy from the law, the media, and discipline. DP Engelbrecht and SP Mark Schroeder interceded for Ski in Appleton, and DP Patterson and future DP Zank got Ski an illegal insta-call. Did Mark Jeske's Church and Change millionaires have anything to do with this miraculous rescue? My lips are sealed.

I have told anyone shunned or kicked out of WELS, "Be glad. They did you a favor. Look at the ones they keep in and reward. You do not want to be associated with them."

If you have a WELS pastor as a friend, you do not need any enemies. That account is full and overflowing. They will gladly betray a layman while pretending to help. They are a sad, sick bunch with no character. There are a few exceptions to my blanket condemnation, but I will not even hint at their names.

Just to show how the WELS Gestapo works - I gather information and perspective from a lot of people. I wished someone a happy birthday on FB because he had been kind to me, many years ago. Other than that, we have no contact and no conversations. But a pastor from WELS got on that page and said, "Are you leaking to Jackson?"

When Jon-Boy Buchholz was pretending to be friendly with me, he got on a WELS pastor's FB page and said, "Why are you friends with Jackson?" as if it were a felony. I only mention it to show how a DP can be outwardly friendly while being a hostile, vindictive, petty snake-in-the-grass (apologies to reptiles everywhere).

I need a punchline. Here is it - Mark Schroeder and Jon-Boy Buchholz were elected as Reformers. Get it? Reformers?

The June 11th, 2018 Sedition of the Christian News .
The Pope Should Be More Popey

Otten's Christian News only promotes Universal Objective Justification.

Webber got an online STM from ELCA's ILT. Kilcrease teaches UOJ there. How can one better exemplify the Una Unsancta of the Apostate Church?

A pause - for what the Scriptures, Luther, and the Book of Concord treat as the Chief Article. Wake up Bivens and Zarling - you still do not know this!

The UOJ brought over by Bishop Stephan, STD, and his pimp, CFW Walther, is a challenge to all those who study the Scriptures. Is their precious dogma in Holy Writ? -
or should we separate the wormy flour from the good flour - as Luther suggested.

The followers of JP Meyer, like Webber and Buchholz, cannot admit their slavery, but their doctrinal ineptness gives them away at every turn.

Pope Otten urges Pope Francis to be more popey.

Adding to the merriment, Otten republished something from the old Roman Catholics urging Pope Francis to be more popey and do his job better. How do we handle this advice?

  1. Stress the Immaculate Conception.
  2. Emphasize the Marian apparitions. Good income there.
  3. Fire up the inerrancy tradition and make it stick.
  4. Re-roast the Lutherans, if any can be found who disagree with the Pope's universalism. Otten and the synodocats are all in bed with Universalism - in the name of grace, of course.
  5. Reissue The Truth about Luther, copies signed by Pope Otten.
  6. Add the Assumption of Joseph to the official dogma of the Assumption of Mary.
  7. Hire Cascione to prove that Genesis 3:15 is the heel of Mary. If anyone can do it, Jack can.
Ah, the papal audience hall at the Vatican.
We need some guided tours and lectures on the symbolism.

Cardinal Burke: Pope Francis is ‘increasing the confusion’ (FULL INTERVIEW) | News | LifeSite.
This Is Where UOJ Leads - Webber (ELS) and Buchholz (WELS) Agree -
Everyone Is Forgiven and Saved

"We don't need a Pope in WELS/ELS.
We have Jay Webber and Jon-Boy Buchholz."
Jay Webber: "This video shows the harm that can come to innocent souls when the sound and Biblical teaching of their pastor and synod is twisted and distorted into something bizarre and unrecognizable, and far different from the comforting evangelical teaching that their pastor and synod actually hold to. The WELS teaches (to quote WELS DP Jon Buchholz)..."

Read and weep, blind followers of blind guides.
WELS proudly reprinted this monstrosity.

Cardinal Burke: Pope Francis is ‘increasing the confusion’ (FULL INTERVIEW)
Diane Montagna Follow Diane

Catholic , Pope Francis , Raymond Burke

ROME, April 5, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis is “increasing the confusion” in the Church, and the College of Cardinals constitutes a de facto check against papal error, Cardinal Raymond Burke has said in a new interview.

Speaking to the Italian Catholic news agency La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, Cardinal Burke said the alleged ‘interview’ on hell with Pope Francis, published on Holy Thursday by his 94-year-old atheist friend, Eugenio Scalfari, “went beyond what is tolerable.”

Burke also called the Vatican’s response to the “scandalized reactions” from across the globe “highly inadequate,” because it failed to reassert the Church’s teaching on the immortality of the soul and the existence of hell. He said it also failed to assert that Pope Francis repudiates the “erroneous and even heretical ideas” attributed to him.

“It has been a source of profound scandal not only for many Catholics but also for many people in the secular world who have respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings, even if they do not share them,” he said.

“This playing around with faith and doctrine, at the highest level of the Church, rightly leaves pastors and faithful scandalized,” he added.

Cardinal Burke said the situation is further aggravated by the silence of so many bishops and cardinals, some of whom “pretend there is nothing serious going on.”"

It will be a great comfort for all the UOJ Enthusiasts to be greeted by guilt-free saints in Hell, including the citizens of Sodom.

Why Are the ELS-WELS People Morbidly Allergic to Faith? - Answer - Their Half-Baked Leaders Deceive Them

Jay Webber got his online STM from a group that is UOJ/ELCA - and supports the ordination of women.
Webber's online school is inordinately proud of the woman they trained for ordination. Here she is preaching to them.

Smalcald Articles - Written by Luther

THE SECOND PART
Treats of the Articles which Refer to the Office and Work of Jesus Christ, or Our Redemption.

Part II, Article I: The first and chief article.
1] That Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, died for our sins, and was raised again for our justification, Rom. 4:25.

2] And He alone is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world, John 1:29; and God has laid upon Him the iniquities of us all, Is. 53:6.

3] Likewise: All have sinned and are justified without merit [freely, and without their own works or merits] by His grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, in His blood, Rom. 3:23f

4] Now, since it is necessary to believe this, and it cannot be otherwise acquired or apprehended by any work, law, or merit, it is clear and certain that this faith alone justifies us as St. Paul says, Rom. 3:28: For we conclude that a man is justified by faith, without the deeds of the Law. Likewise 3:26: That He might be just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Christ.

5] Of this article nothing can be yielded or surrendered [nor can anything be granted or permitted contrary to the same], even though heaven and earth, and whatever will not abide, should sink to ruin. For there is none other name under heaven, given among men whereby we must be saved, says Peter, Acts 4:12. And with His stripes we are healed, Is. 53:5. And upon this article all things depend which we teach and practice in opposition to the Pope, the devil, and the [whole] world. Therefore, we must be sure concerning this doctrine, and not doubt; for otherwise all is lost, and the Pope and devil and all things gain the victory and suit over us.

On Facebook, I was reviewing the endless promotion of UOJ - the really dumb ideas planted in the minds of members and seminarians to make Justification by Faith so odious.

Jay Webber cited his own miserable trollop of a paper in promoting UOJ during this Facebook discussion. My current theory is that these people cling to their UOJ because they imagine it makes them elite, special, and uniquely qualified to boss others around. The leaders also use their own faction to divide any group that might give them hives - like the "In"trepid Lutherans. That worked very well, because the UOJists swarm like fire ants whenever Justification by Faith comes up.

Since Jay cited his own anti-faith work, just as Walther and Waldo Werning cited their own errors, I looked up his Emmaus paper once again. Webber mentioned the passage above (not quoting it of course) and took off on his own Icarian flight of fancy about Luther and Justification without Faith.

To find it, use control-f and use "chief" in the window. The second chief is the Chief Article, which he passes over conveniently.

As I pointed out on LutherQuest more than once, their error is in quoting all Atonement passages (Paul, Luther, the Book of Concord) as Objective Justification proof. But, as many have shown, including their own Robert Preus, the Atonement is not Justification.

But they make the Atonement into a Universal Absolution and And Salvation of the World - Without Faith.

The UOJists tell two big fat lies:

  1. They falsely accuse Justification by Faith - that the term or teachers deny that Jesus died for the sins of the world. They cannot stop saying this. They are OCD on meth, jabbering about this night and day, but perhaps method in their madness. They poison the well with glee, on purpose.
  2. They deny they are putting everyone in Heaven, so they are not Universalists. No, they are cowardly, slithering, incense-sniffing, sinuflecting Universalists, proclaiming the foundation of the UUA while disclaiming its effect - "Your Adventure in Faith Starts Here". Yes, the UUA says that on their main page, so do not doubt what the UOJists are doing with their fables.

How can someone name-drop the term "Chief Article" from the very theologian (Luther) and Book of Concord he scorns? This only proves the efficacy of the Word. When people obstinately oppose what the Scripture teaches, they become even blinder and more hardened in their opposition.

The Chief Article is not Objective Justification. That OJ term is not found or even expressed in Luther, the Book of Concord, or the Bible. Like Walther, Webber has very little knowledge of the Biblical languages, so he relies on "Theses." We should stand back and gape at them with our mouths hanging open, but that is difficult in the face of such blatant, persistent error.

Formula of Concord, Solid Declaration, The Righteousness of Faith

6] This article concerning justification by faith (as the Apology says) is the chief article in the entire Christian doctrine, without which no poor conscience can have any firm consolation, or can truly know the riches of the grace of Christ, as Dr. Luther also has written: If this only article remains pure on the battlefield, the Christian Church also remains pure, and in goodly harmony and without any sects; but if it does not remain pure, it is not possible that any error or fanatical spirit can be resisted. (Tom. 5, Jena, p. 159.) 7] And concerning this article especially Paul says that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Therefore, in this article he urges with so much zeal and earnestness the particulas exclusivas, that is, the words whereby the works of men are excluded (namely, without Law, without works, by grace [freely], Rom. 3:28; 4:5; Eph. 2:8-9), in order to indicate how highly necessary it is that in this article, aside from [the presentation of] the pure doctrine, the antithesis, that is, all contrary dogmas, be stated separately, exposed, and rejected by this means.

For laughs, see Mark Zarling and Frosty Bivens call Objective Justification the "Chief Article," yea even "a diamond." And who is available to refute them within their own sect?

Webber's partner in confessional crime is a Universalist: everyone is saved, past tense, finished, certain.

Did Ricky Johnson, Resigned from WELS, Start His Own Congregation in Corona, California?

Here is Ricky Johnson's new church page on Facebook.

Someone wrote me that Pastor Ricky Johnson, formerly of WELS, now resigned, left Crown of Life in Corona, California, and took 100 members with him.

I am not getting any information from the Net, so let me know via email if you have some facts, such as the name of the group, address, etc.

Pastor Rick Johnson Chapped Jon-Boy's Hide So Badly, Rick Got a Big Fat WELS Grant. Alas, Now Rick Is Gone

Pastor Rick Johnson, in Corona, California, got his Geneva gown in a bunch because I posted a typo on Bailing Water.

First, Bailing Water posted the Open Letter, which I also published.

Second, Rick Johnson offered a typical Church and Change rebuttal, attacking the author for being anonymous, for being "too general," etc. Sanctimoniously, he signed his name (for once), as if that made his response credible. The Shrinkers have always used the same method. They avoid the issue of false doctrine because they hate Lutheran doctrine. They change the subject and cloak their agenda.

Third, I posted a quick response, identifying Rick as a Shrinker and Leonard Sweet-heart.

Rick follows the old lawyer's trick: "If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you don't have either on your side, pound the table."

Rick is a table-pounder, just like the rest of the Changers. He belongs to the secretive cabal that has controlled the finances and agenda of "conservative" Lutherans for decades.

Doctrine - not on his side.

The facts - let's avoid what the Changers have done and spent.

The Changers are offended that people have not held their hands and explained their sins to them (Matthew 18). Of course, when people did exactly that to Kelm, he wrote he would not discuss Leonard Sweet at all.

The Changers are offended that someone would write without his real name. About 100% of the attempted rebuttals on Ichabod are anonymous. A number of them are too obscene and crude to reproduce, even with the words deleted.

Rick and Company enjoy seeing names so they can activate the Changer Slander Machine, the same one which labeled Koeplin, a senior pastor, "brain-damaged" for criticizing Church Growth and amalgamation. The same Changer Slander Machine labeled the former seminary president as "senile" for opposing amalgamation.

When I revealed that Rick was a Sweet-heart with offerings deep in the red, he erased the facts he published and began yelping about his public blog being quoted. He forgot to mention that he erased his slobbering reference to Sweet. Table pounding.

The Shrinkers are terrified now. The laity and pastors can see what Mischke-Gurgle-Patterson-Mueller did to WELS. (Yes, I know how to spell Gurgel. Just having fun with a name.) I hope the Shrinkers keep shrieking like little girls who just saw a spider. People can see them for what they are - insubordinate, dishonest, lazy false teachers. They are clouds without rain, belly servers, wolves wearing the finest fleece (bought with synod subsidies).

Paul warned about wolves from within and without. The Changers are the wolves within.

Inability To Support an Argument or Offer Any Evidence of Critical Thinking Skills - Jay Webber, Little Sect on the Prairie

Note that the ELCA president of this unaccredited ELCA online seminary
taught a course on Luther and justification.

Taught for ELCA, started an online ELCA seminary.
Its degrees are unaccredited, so they have no academic standing.

Pastor Becky Hand preaches to the seminary community.

David Jay Webber Orthodox Lutheran synods are emphasizing the doctrine of humanity's objective/universal justification in Christ, and the corresponding doctrine of subjective/personal justification by faith, because these doctrines are being challenged, distorted, and rejected today. It's the same reason why St. Athanasius emphasized the doctrines of the divinity of Christ and the Trinity, and why St. Augustine emphasized the doctrines of original sin and salvation by grace alone, in their day.

To give people the benefit of the doubt, we can and should admit that when this controversy/discussion got going several years ago, it was triggered in part by certain clumsy and misleading statements that had been made in the past by a few of the would-be teachers and defenders of objective justification - such as that God looked down into hell and declared Judas and all the damned to have the status of saints. What an abysmal confusion of law and gospel that was, not to mention how far it departed from the pattern of sound words of Scripture. Whenever you are talking about souls in hell, you are speaking law in one form or another; whereas objective justification is exclusively a species of the gospel, pertaining to those for whom the gospel is intended, and to whom the gospel is offered.

But that's not the situation now. In the past few years, the doctrine of objective justification has been clarified and reiterated in a balanced and Christ-centered way, and those older improper ways of explaining it have been set aside and rejected. See in particular these two essays, for the way in which objective justification is actually taught and explained in WELS/ELS circles today:

But the folks who understandably rejected the clumsy and misleading statements of the past, are now rejecting also these clearer and more balanced forms of teaching. This shows that the issue is not just a matter of terminological confusion and misunderstanding, but is a real doctrinal difference. And therefore the correct Biblical and Confessional doctrine needs to be set forth in response to the distortions and errors that are still out there, and that are confusing and misleading the faithful.

People need to know that Jesus is their Savior and their justifier from beginning to end, and that their righteousness before God is the righteousness that Christ won and established for the world in his death and resurrection in the stead and on behalf of the world. And people need to know that their faithful Lutheran pastors are absolutely not teaching "universal salvation without faith" - as I personally have been accused of teaching, because I preach that Jesus truly is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

GJ - Webber has a nasty habit of making claims without supporting them and laying down a thick smokescreen of easily disputed factoids. The online discussions, in blogs and on Facebook, have gotten under the thin skin of this professor wannabee, the MDiv John Shep says "makes fun of the ELS leaders until he is 100 miles from Mankato." Webber used to chant with his infant son about breaking fellowship with WELS, but now he wants to stand in the shadow of a hated District President. Be careful about citing Buchholz - someone might actually read the abominable essay and quote it.

One little question - Webber and Buchie - what is the Chief Article of Christianity? Is it UOJ, as Bivens claimed while plagiarizing Zarling?

Luther, Melanchthon, and Chemnitz
all say Webber is a stuffy, humorless bag of wind.
