Fake Name, Fake Email - The Poor Guy Must Be Ashamed of His Own Words

I just wanted to tell you how embarrassed I am of you. I am embarrassed that you are Lutheran and that you call yourself Christian. Some of your favorite books are written by Martin Luther and other church fathers yet you speak of people the way you do. I see nothing but the breaking of the 8th commandment and certainly an unwillingness to forgive those you criticize. It is clear you are in this to slander people, not to guide back to God's word in a loving Christian manner. Matthew 18 certainly doesn't say post pictures and slander them...
Shame on you

***

GJ - Made my day.

All the Church and Change talking points are there. Funny, the Appleton blogger raves in the same way but creates toilet pictures with faces on them, directs personal insults at my readers, and begs them to turn away from the eev-ul Ichabod. So persuasive. So satirical. So Evangelical.

The Appleton blogger has not made a case for all the Schwaermer unionism going on in his circuit.

If this fellow is going to flog you with the 8 and 18 switch, he ought to at least swing hard enough to break your flesh open. This was a really pathetic attempt to treat you in the typical WELS way of dealing with dissenters. Shame on him.

WELS church lady has left a new comment on your post "Fake Name, Fake Email - The Poor Guy Must Be Asham...":

Good morning Pastor GJ. I have been away from home(and computer)for a few days. Our airconditioning unit went on the brink, so we were forced to spend two nights at a relative's home. Like Pastor GJ, my aunt is getting rid of several books. Perhaps Pastor GJ would be interested in Lucado or Sorge?(No?...I understand!) "Fake Name" might like reading works by non-Lutheran writers. Yes, this blog contains a lot of satire, yet it is FULL of Lutheran doctrine, Scripture, and historic writtings of Christianity. Pastor Jackson shares the Word when he posts his sermons for all to see. The Holy Spirit guides us. From this forum I was guided to Intrepid Lutherans. Blogs are a tool, so I moved to the second phase of speaking to pastors and laity in person. That was a scary thought six months ago.("Trust in the Lord") I have been on the receiving end of the 8 and 18 switch. That trick is so old, the pastors who administer it must be kidding themselves.

Hey, what about Mark Jeske partaking in the LCMS convention? I will put the worst construction on it. The Feedback of Forward In Christ A Lutheran Voice, would be an excellent place to shed light on the Jeske/LCMS madness. I will concede a bit, I sent my pre-schooler to a local Confessional LCMS school. Yet Jeske is hanging with the liberal wing of LCMS. It is no secret, I have prayed at the school and have participated in Chapel Services? Is this right or is this violating fellowship rules?

In Christ,
from WELS church lady

Joseph Schmidt has left a new comment on your post "Fake Name, Fake Email - The Poor Guy Must Be Asham...":

WELS church lady, the fellowship principles in WELS are a joke, in the sense that they exist only on paper and are not enforced. I would pray with and take communion at a confessional LCMS church before I even step foot in a Church & Change congregation like The CORE, let alone pray with them or take communion from one of their pastors like Ski.

Some of you are being awfully judgmental.

CORE Celebrates Year of Apostasy -
Thank You! Deputy Doug Englebrecht

The blind leading the blind.

From: The CORE [mailto:info=gotocore.com@mcsv5.net] On Behalf Of The CORE

Subject: The COREspondence

Keeping You "In The Know"

After celebrating a year of a service in the city of Appleton, we held our first In The Know Event for members and supporters of The CORE. We took time to celebrate the great things God has done here at The CORE, as well as look ahead at what He has planned for us next as a church. God has used the ministry to transform lives and bring people closer to Jesus - and our mission has only just begun.

We are incredibly thankful and excited to see how the Lord will continue to bless the church and ministry.

An Upcoming Event at The CORE

Jesus Cares Ministry will be holding an upcoming event at The CORE. The summer ministry is giving WELS and ELS college students hands on ministry experience as they prepare to enter congregational leadership. This ministry travels around to various churches and prepares individuals who are seeking an outreach opportunity beyond the walls of the church.

The event will be held on July 10th at 1:00 PM at The CORE. We are looking for volunteers that are passionate about helping others and eager to learn how to care for those with developmental disabilities. Come see what the Jesus Cares Ministry is all about!

Why Should You Join A Small Group?

If you are looking to get connected with other Christians in a welcoming, relational environment or if you are looking to fellowship with people will help strengthen and support your relationship with Christ - then Small Groups is a great fit for you. Stay tuned for new information regarding small groups coming in August. For more information on how to join a small group, go to The CORE's website.

Thank You Isn't Enough
An Expression of Thanks from Katie Strandlund

Words truly do not seem sufficient to express my heart and gratitude to you, The CORE. The CORE is a church. But it is not a church because of a building, it is a church because of the people that gather together as family in Christ and call themselves The CORE. And leaving that family and those I’ve had the honor to serve alongside for almost two years is bittersweet to say the least.

“Thank you” does not seem enough for the endless support and encouragement that you all have so freely given me. “Thank you” doesn’t seem enough for being incredible partners in carrying out The CORE’s mission to transform lives for Christ through faith that is real, relevant, and relational. Yet, “thank you” is the best I’ve got. I am truly humbled when I reflect on the ministry God has given me the opportunity to be a small part at The CORE.

The fight in Appleton is far from over. “Greater things are yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city.” * And I pray for God’s continued blessing and strength for all of you as you daily fight the fight and strive to live as a city within the city of Appleton to impact lives for Jesus with the Gospel.

*lyrics from “God of this City” by Blue Tree

From The CORE

It has truly been a blessing having Katie serve in our ministry at The CORE. We wish her many blessings as she sets out to fulfill God's calling on her heart.
We would like to think of this not as a "goodbye" but rather a "see you later".
Many thanks for your years of service!

Blessings,
Your Friends at The CORE

Imitation Is the Highest Form of Flattery - Multiple Blogs Copy Ichabod

How many copy my style?
Badly?

Some people think I am offended by the anti-Ichabod blogs, but they are a great honor, albeit one I deserve.

An Englishman said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

How many blogs have picked up my ideas in order to counter my influence:

Rock-N-Roll was the first, produced by Church and Change's Joe Krohn. He picked up my nickname for his mission congregation - Christ the Rock Lutheran in Round Rock, Texas. Kudo Don Patterson and Where's-the-Loot Gurgle are now planting a new site almost next door to Doebler and Krohn. This blog tanked early.

Fake Ichabod came along, copying my blog name to grab some readers. He was supported immediately by Joe Krohn and Tim Felt-Needs. Tim's real last name is Niedfelt, but he adopted my nickname for him. Fake Ichabod started out trying to defend UOJ and the Church Shrinkers, doubtless because he knows the two go together like rats and the plague. Fake is typically WELS, full of anonymous sanctimony, contradictions, and self-parody. Fake took it on himself to attack my departed daughters, Bethany and Erin Joy, to make himself feel important. He erased all his files, disappeared, came back, disappeared, came back, etc.

Anonymouse is the nickname I gave to a daily comment producer, virulently nasty and always anonymous. A parallel blog popped up with that name and uses the same template as Fake Ichabod. People immediately saw the real character of the blogger (who is Fake Ichabod) when he posted about toilets and vomit, with bad Photoshops provided. That was all erased, and he urged readers to go to the "scholarly" Fake Ichabod. This sad specimen wants to make things better by attacking people by name. He objects to my dealing with false doctrine, using the sources, but he indulges himself in scatological personal attacks so low they would be banned by any broadcast, even given the low standards of cable TV.

He calls it satire but I call it typical WELS pastoral training. UOJ gives them a license to be Antinomians. Ask the murderers, the child molesters, the embezzlers, and the leaders who promote known adulterous pastors.

Plagiarism
I have known for a long time that the blogger is from Fox Valley. When I step on Fox Valley toes, he rages.

I received a copy of a Christmas sermon written and copyrighted by a Baptist minister and placed on his website. I also received a copy of the same sermon, preached by WELS Pastor John Parlow and posted on his website as his own. This happened in 2007.

I was going to post both texts, but I realized Doug the Unready will still protect Parlow and nothing will be done. I added another step to the WELS pastor quiz, on plagiarism, and the Fox Valley blogger lit up again.

The Shrinkers are un-original plagiarists, enchanted with the Babtists. One WELS pastor said, "We all used to think Kelm was so creative. We found out he was just copying from the Schwaermer."

The plagiarism issue reminds me of the issue in the college classroom, where it is a real plague. I have dealt with the issue many times. Some do not know any better and want help, because high school let it go by and never taught them otherwise. I worked with one woman for five weeks, which ended with her earning a C. She wrote, "You are the best teacher I have ever had, believe it or not."

Most plagiarists are not like that, and they make administrators laugh. They get caught and phone the bosses.
"That is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life."
"No one ever said it was wrong."
"I gave the citation" (for a 99% copied essay).
"You can't prove it."
As I have said more than once to a supervisor, "They already lied once when they plagiarized. You expect the truth from them now?" I have had learning teams cheat together and tell the same bad story.

I see a parallel with the WELS Shrinkers. Because the Shrinkers are too lazy and stupid to do their own work, they attack anyone who notices their handiwork.

Fox Valley not only hosted the team of Parlow and Kelm, notorious copiers, but also the current Groeschel tag team of Ski and Glende.

As some may recall, Parlow and Limmer actually plagiarized an email from Hybels of Willow Creek. Their church was a long-time member of the Willow Creek Association and linked there - until I published that fact a zillion times.

The head of technology for WELS also plagiarized Hybels, in his first and only congregation in WELS.

WELS paid mission pastors to be trained at Willow Creek.

Does anyone notice a pattern?

The Shrinkers flatter Fuller, Willow Creek, Groeschel, Driscoll, Stanley, etc because they love false doctrine. Someone imitates my blog because he thinks he can write polemics and satire.

Please keep revealing your brittle, dishonest, copycat nature - Fake Ichabod. We need a laugh after musing about how little is done about pastors like you.

Class of 1989, The Sausage Factory

Original Post

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Fifty WELS Pastors Still Think Highly of Luther":

Is it acceptable to leave a post with the name anonymous if you are simply embarrassed to be reading this web page? I feel the tone of this page is similar to the feeling of juicy gossip; "It feels good to talk about people and pretend to be able to read their hearts and know their faith from across the internet."

***

GJ - It is appropriate for WELS apostates to communicate their sanctimonious concern anonymously. In fact, most of their work is done through making snide and slanderous remarks behind the backs of their fellow-pastors, their very own classmates: "brain-damaged, senile," etc.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Sanctimonious Comment Department":

Memo

To: WELS Pastors (The Kettle)

Message: I can't believe how black you are.

I remember when you were a colloquy "student" at WLS in 1988/1989. You walked around like you were God's gift to WELS. Have you found a church body that is small enough for your intolerence, yet big enough for your ego?

***

GJ - Typical Sausage Factory stuff. I wonder why people are not lining up four-abreast to join this group.

Eltothe Izzeye Eleltothe Izzo has left a new comment on your post "Sanctimonious Comments Department":

O.K. I've identified myself. You can easily figure out who I am if you have a WELS Yearbook and a basic knowledge of hip hop nomenclature.

First, to define a term: Tolerate -- Put up with something even if you don't like it (I tolerate smokers in public places, but I don't like the smell of their smoke).

What would I tolerate? (I can't force anyone else to tolerate these things, but I tolerate them.) I tolerate Lutheran ministers who worship in a contemporary style. I actually prefer a blended style of worship, but I tolerate contemporary style.

What don't I tolerate? I don't tolerate false teaching of any kind. I don't tolerate the watering down of true teaching of any kind. However, I don't see WELS pastors who use contemporary styles of worshp as necessarily compromising doctrine. If I saw evidence of this happening. I would speak out against it.

It seems like so many who post here (and I've only been visiting since yesterday and won't be back after Sunday) find pastors using contemporary styles in worship and then start looking for false doctrine. Every variance in wording is seen as heresy when there just plain isn't any heresy there.

O.K. I've said my piece and I won't be posting again because I find this a monumental waste of time and energy when there are souls beyond our care who are dying and we are doing nothing but arguing about style.

Oh, and there's this: "The future is yours. At least until the moon darkens, the sun no longer gives it's light, the trumpets sound and Christ returns to judge the quick and the dead. Not much of a future but it's yours while the prince of this world feeds his church with the carrion of false doctrine." That sounds more like Spurgeon or some other "Babtist" than it sounds like the writings of a Lutheran.

Jeru the Damaja has left a new comment on your post "Sanctimonious Comments Department":

In case anyone cares at this point, the person posting above is Pastor Joel Lillo of Trinity (Appleton, WI).

Since he won't be posting again, I figured his sole post should be cited.

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "April of 2009":

Attributed to Pastor Lillo, Oh, and there's this: "The future is yours.

Since he's quoting my statement I thought I provide the Scripture to show it's not what Pastor Lillo thought it sounded like:

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

I still stand by that statement. More than can be said for most of the apostates who dare to write down their confessions.

***

GJ - Tis funny how Lillo is always dropping one last stinkbomb before parting, his absolutely last post ever. His last blog ever (several times ago, too).

What the Shrinkers Hate, Part II

The Shrinkers despise any congregation doing well because of its traditional Lutheran message and worship.

Their loathing of real outreach is revealed in their mockery of congregations doing what they cannot, even though the others lack the funds greedily absorbed by the Church and Money Changers. How much loot does a congregation like Patterson's need? The parish is affluent and well established. Why it is being subsidized at the expense of others?

The alleged growthers hate their brother ministers. Ski announced that A-Town was finally going to have a church that made Jesus real and relevant. He moved in with the big bucks, almost next door to another WELS congregation, in spite of protests and hard feelings engendered by his arrogance.

They hate the Lutheran name, doing everything possible to get rid of it. That is not because the name is an adiaphoron. The hatred comes from the Fuller/Willow Creek dogma. They hate Lutheran doctrine and loathe Lutheran worship, so they reject the Lutheran name. One WELS pastor conceded, "I will use the liturgy, once a month, but I will go outside and puke afterwards."

wildcard (http://wildcard.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "What the Shrinkers Hate, Part II":

WELS pastors who despise preaching and teaching like to blame membership shrinkage on the word Lutheran. It must be the word Lutheran because it certainly cannot be them. At least they will never own up to it.

***

GJ - Pastors? The synod leaders got rid of Lutheran on the magazine title page (now reversed), the main hymnal title, Lutherans For Life, and as many missions as possible. Try to find Lutheran on Time of Grace.

Same Old Thing - With Claws

The Church and Money Changers have a post-convention message
for you Confessionals.

John has left a new comment on your post "Deputy Doug Englebrecht Re-Elected: WELS Will Cont...":

The upshot is that Jeske will continue to do what he does.

What Jeske does with Time of Grace cannot be called outreach by any stretch of the imagination.

Outreach would include clear and direct instructions to viewers/listeners about how to get further information from a WELS pastor/congregation in their area.

Oh, wait a minute! Any outreach for WELS might offend The LC-MS, and jeopardize Jeske's relationship with them.

What to do!! What to do!!

District Convention Advice

Someone asked for WELS district convention advice. Here it is:

  1. Rebuke their false doctrine at every stage.
  2. Stop them in the hallways.
  3. Speak from the floor.
  4. Have lunch with them and apply the Word.
  5. Ask for a multi-year study of the Confessions.
  6. Expect false teachers to be removed rather than promoted.
  7. Deny WLC any recognition as a synod-approved school.
  8. Treat Thrivent the way Thrivent treats conservative Lutherans.
  9. Reconstitute the school system with affordable tuition and Lutheran instructors - both lacking at the moment.
  10. Sell the Chapel of St. Marvin to ELCA.
  11. Break fellowship with the Little Sect on the Prairie, until and unless they replace Pope John the Malefactor.

WELS Troops in Video

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
An Army battalion in Afghanistan, containing quite a few WELS members, is soon to return home to Fort Lewis after sustaining a very high rate of casualties. I am giving the YouTube video that interviews some of the troops. A number of WELS people can be seen in the video, but they are only in the background.
Our Military Contact Pastors serving Fort Lewis will, no doubt, have some very special work to do once the troops return. Civilian Chaplain Jeremy Schulz brought this video to my attention.
May the Lord bless our efforts to serve those who serve our country!

About five years ago Gurgle cut the WELS military chaplains off from synodical budgetary support--a trick that he learned from Kieschnick, no doubt. Then he gave everyone in the synodical HQ a raise, I bet. So the last WELS Connection video was about the military chaplains, and they were pleading for cash.

Truth Defeats Deceit and Corruption

Jim Huebner, Fuller alumnus, illustrates why WELS is not Lutheran.
The faces represent WELS' favorite religious leaders.
Luther is missing, of course.
Chemnitz - who he?
Chytraeus? Spelling?

People email each other and send links to stories and websites. Once they had a confidential outlet, the lies stopped working. I used to think, "If only the Lutherans had the equivalent of the Roman Catholic network of clergy abuse victims (SNAP)." The journalists did not expose Roman Catholic cover-ups. SNAP did, and the journalists feasted on the facts.

When a journalist asked SP Gurgle about the adulterous pastor who was promoted to a posh job, the Schwaermer Pope wanted to know, "Who told you?" He phoned around, "Did you tell the journalist?" That is all he did about it. WELS discipline - promote the guilty while giving Lutherans the Left Foot of Fellowship. No wonder WELS grew so fast under Gurgle.

One pastor asked me, "Did you tell the journalist?" No, that was a typical WELS maneuver, staying in the background. I do not really blame anyone for avoiding a summary execution by the guardians of false doctrine. But the old regime is finished off, and I do not merely mean one attached to a name. Denominations simply cannot get away with it anymore.

Going back to the Roman Catholics - now the trail of evidence has reached Pope John Paul II, fast-tracked on the road to sainthood. It is clear that he stonewalled any investigations, including the clear evidence indicting his pal, the head of the Legion of Mary. That man was a bi-sexual dynamo, with a bastard kid and a group of his boy followers abused as well.

Every Roman Catholic bishop story seems to include a case of massive cover-ups, just like the WELS DPs. Let me remind the forgetful - the only priest punished in the Boston debacle was the one who objected to the abuse. Cardinal Law was promoted to Rome. That is not Milwaukee, but he had to settle for the Eternal City rather than Tabor's love nest.

Recently a conservative Catholic and an anti-Catholic liberal agreed on one fact. Exposing the scandals is the only way to end them. The day will come when bishops will fear the results of a tempting cover-up more than the backlash from telling the truth...for once.

WELS is so corrupt that WLC invited the homosexual predator Archbishop Weakland--and his priests--to a series of public lectures. Weakland was totally smitten by his male lover and paid him $400,000 out of embezzled funds to keep the young man quiet. WLC featured public lectures from Weakland and a clutch of priests, then lied about it. In the Wisconsin sect, embezzling funds is not a crime. It is a hobby. Talking about it is a crime. Promoting the Antichrist is not a crime. Talking about it is a crime. Paying a homosexual, embezzling false teacher to speak is not a crime. Publishing the facts is a crime.

And all the WELS church workers are straight.

Criminal church workers will continue to frolic in the sheepfolds, as long as their bosses cover up for them. Every church worker deserves a fair trial when charged with a crime, but the members also deserve the truth when a pastor, DP, instructor, or church workers is indicted. Until then, the felons will have fun the garden of good and evil.

Someone likes my Weakland graphic. All I did was add an imaginary thought.

I know who is smiling right now.

Extra Nos - On Intrepid Lutherans

Intrepid Lutherans

Over here it is not unusual to have granny flats. It is a type of bungalow where a member of the family can stay with you but not with you. Well they are sort of staying with you in that they are in the same compound but not in the same roof.

What has this to do with granny flats? Well Christians and in particular most Lutherans, treat doctrine like a grandma living in a granny flat. She is there but nobody dares to bring her into conversation. She is ignored but everyone knows she is still alive. She is just avoided. No one talks to her, no one talks about her.

I am glad that some WELS folk have decided to blog about what everyone in WELS knows but no one bothered to talk about. I congratulate the people at Intrepid Lutherans for being so bold to face up and debate issues that matter to them the most.

In a way, I see this as analogous to recognizing that grandma is out there in the granny flat, now what are we going to do about her?

Good on Intrepid Lutherans, I admire their courage. I hope they produce a lot of meaty discussions. I made it a point to read the blog daily.

Bruce Church Straightens Out the Crooked Church and Money Changers

The spirit of Church and Change lives in the black soul of The Cat from Hell.

bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Intrepid Lutherans Blog":

Dr. Jackson wrote: "The participants, whoever they may be, are working on their own."

The guy who runs Bailing Water now says that "Aaron" started Bailing Water and the new Intrepid Lutherans blog--at least that's what I infer from the excerpt below:

http://bailingwater.blogspot.com/2010/06/taking-up-sword-of-faith.html

excerpt: "I commend to you http://www.intrepidlutherans.com/. This is a blog that takes up the sword and mantle of Confessional Lutheranism in the WELS.

Several years ago Aaron started this blog, Bailing Water, as a way to open up discussion on the inroads of the Church growth methods in the WELS. Bailing Water provided fruitful discussion on important topics and brought to surface many hidden agendas. For many the true agenda and players list of the Church and Change group was revealed."

***

GJ - Every time a good idea comes up in WELS, I get blamed for it. I am not part of the new blog. What they write and do is on their own.

I can guess that the Church and Money Changers are eager to use the guilt by association logical fallacy. I wrote a whole chapter on apostate logical fallacies in Liberalism, Its Cause and Cure. Of course, anyone can gather a trainload of logical fallacies by listening to a Doctrinal Pussycat for a few minutes.

Freddy's Post about Intrepid Lutherans

Lutherans of Intrepid Heart: Standing on Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions

Intrepid Lutherans

This is the sort of thing that makes one's Lutheran heart race: Lutheran clergymen and laymen offering their good names and reputations in a public stand on Scripture and the Confessions. It appears that the men of Intrepid Lutherans are calling for open theological discussion on several matters that have been at the center of public controversy for a number of years now -- matters of issue which we will recognized as having been featured and debated at length in forums like Bailing Water, analyzed here on The Finkelsteinery and sometimes exposed on Ichabod and in other forums. They are also calling upon fellow members of the WELS clergy and laity to publicly stand with them.

This is very exciting. I would encourage any and all WELS clergymen and laymen of stout heart and firm confessional conviction to lend their names, and thus also their support, to this bold public venture.

***

GJ - I have had non-members attend my adult class simply because I advertised that I would have a series on Christian doctrine. I cannot imagine anything more effective than the efficacious Word of God.
