Someone Asked Some Questions about Objective Justification

This Edward Preuss nonsense was praised by Walther, Robert Preus, Jack Cascione, and Paul McCain. "Justified before birth" - consider that.

Objective Justification is simple -

  • "God issued a decree that the entire world is forgiven." (sic
  • That is largely based on their false reading of 1 Timothy 3:16 - "The entire world was declared forgiven when Jesus rose from the dead." (sic)

The raising of Jesus declared that He was without sin, justified, but His justification was not like ours. The fact of His rising showed the world that He was not a sinner like us and therefore not mortal, like us.

They are keen to say that OJ is not the same as the Atonement, because OJ is the divine declaration. What they do is blend the two together, Atonement and justification, leaving everyone confused by their confusion.

Mission creep and the lack of Biblical knowledge combine to give the 21st century OJists many Moments of OJ -

  1. The Empty Tomb
  2. The Cross
  3. The Angelic blessing at His birth
  4. The Garden of Eden.

Subjective Justification is so weak an emphasis that it is almost invisible. Indeed, it has dropped away among the mainline theologians, who assume everyone is already forgiven and saved, period. That sounds like WELS DP Jon-Boy Buchholz, doesn't it?

The Easter absolution of the world is also attributed to the cross, the angelic proclamation of His birth, and the Promise of a Savior in Genesis 3:15.

In fact, SJ is nothing more than deciding in favor of universal absolution without faith. As Walther wrote, "Every one who wants to be saved must accept the general absolution (OJ)."

So Walther has everyone in the world forgiven but they must also make a decision for OJ to be really forgiven.

Needless to say, that makes SJ tough to teach, so they rave about OJ and call Justification by Faith every possible name - Calvinism, Arminianism, Pietism.

Pieper, Mueller, and Scaer cleverly lumped together the contradictory terms of Justification by Faith, Objective Justification, and Subjective Justification. That allowed people to think that OJ is the Atonement and SJ is Justification by Faith. If those three LCMS leaders really believed that, they would not have railed against the Chief Article, Justification by Faith.

If their dogma cannot be taught with Biblical words alone, then it must be false. If their dogma contradicts the Scriptures, it must be repudiated and rejected.

WELS Synod Convention, 2019 - First Draft

M.S. - "Do not run any of those screen shots from Ichabod, OK?"

Synod convention begins July 29

The 65th biennial convention of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod will be held at Martin Luther College (MLC), New Ulm, Minn., July 29–Aug. 1. The convention will be attended by over 400 voting and advisory delegates. Approximately half of the delegates are lay, with the other half being pastors, teachers, and staff ministers.
The opening service for the convention will be held Mon., July 29, at 6:30 p.m., in the Chapel of the Christ at MLC. The convention opens on Tuesday morning after the presentation of the flags by the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society. We hope to have another woman preaching from the pulpit.

Celebrating our diversity, so ELCA will like us.
To further the interests of diversity not only will Old Milwaukee be served in the beer garden just east of the academic centre but also Pabst Blue Ribbon.  Of course sugared and caffeinated beverages will also be available.  After the 2013 confab we received complaints via Ichabod (which I do not read) regarding loud alcoholic rantings into the wee hours of the morning.  Remember, some of your fellow conventioneers require more sleep than others!
The first order of business is the unanimous re-election of the synod president, to be followed as soon as possible by the election for the synod second vice president. Tuesday morning will also include an overview of the mission opportunity in Vietnam, a presentation of the synod’s ministry financial plan, and the report of the synod president, moi.
After the election for president and second vice president is concluded, elections for other offices will take place whenever possible on the schedule. Most have already been arranged, so do not expect any surprises. But please vote.
Along with reports from all areas of the synod’s ministry, the convention will act on a recommendation for a formal declaration of fellowship with Fuller Seminary, ELCA, Thrivent's chapel, and the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ–Kenya, and with a public affirmation of our synod’s fellowship with Christian Lutheran Evangelical Church in Taiwan, formally a WELS mission but now an independent synod.
Floor committees will prepare reports and resolutions dealing with all areas of ministry and support services. More than 20 memorials have been submitted for consideration. (Memorials are requests from individuals, congregations, or groups for convention action.) These memorials have been assigned to floor committees, which will then make recommendations about dumping some of them to the plenary convention. In addition, numerous proposed changes to the synod’s bylaws will be considered by the convention.
Closing worship is scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon and will include the installation of the newly elected officers by moi.
The majority of the convention will be streamed live. The smoke-filled rooms do not have cameras, fortunately. The livestream can be found at wels.net/2019synodconvention.
Serving with you in Christ,
WELS President Mark Schroeder

"Ah! Fond memories."

Why Is a 2011 Post So Popular, Week after Week?

Dr. Moo from Wheaton College helps Mequon promote the new NIV, but the Calvinist ESV is no solution, as some imagine. Pope John the Malefactor, ELS, looks on gleefully.

Defeat the HIV Translation in WELS - 2011 - Why So Popular Now?

I wondered why an old post began showing up as the most read - for the week, for the month.

Top Secret. Special Access
An agent deep within WELS told me that the new NIV is going down in defeat, in spite of the WELS convention resolution - "All Paraphrases Matter."

Congregations seem to be favoring the EHV, which removes many of the blatant errors of the new NIV, but not all of them.

EHV Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and gather disciples from all nations by baptizing them...EHV

KJV Matthew 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

19 πορευθεντες ουν μαθητευσατε παντα τα εθνη, βαπτιζοντες αυτους εις το ονομα του πατρος και του υιου και του αγιου πνευματος

This verse is the keystone of Church Growth Enthusiasm. The real church for them is the Pietistic cell group, which is where they "make disciples." Didn't Jesus order them to "make disciples who make disciples who make disciples"? WELS guru Gerlach wrote that, so it must be true.

Jesus did not tell the disciples to manufacture soul-winners in all nations, but to teach all nations. That is like the difference between stoning peaches and stoning your neighbor.

The Fuller fanatics are indifferent about doctrine - except theirs. They will not give an inch on this, so why did the EHV make matters even worse? Mequon was all in for Fuller Seminary decades ago.

Lutheran World Missions - The Most Corrupt

Lutheran World Missions (LCMS-WELS) are the most corrupt because they were the first to attend Fuller Seminary indoctrination classes. Also, they are larded with special gifts, abortion-loving Thrivent grants, and special luxuries.

Fuller's errors were welcomed in the name of Growth! because the LCMS-WELS leaders were eager to leverage the influence of Calvinism and Rationalism in their sects. They advocated safe sects, so why not become bi-sectual, Pietistic and Calvinistic?
