Katy Perry - The Fave of the Booze Brothers - And Satanism.
Nothing Says Permanent Adolescence Like Their Infatuation

Who took the photos - Bishop Katie?
Perry was modestly dressed, compared to later appearances.

"I'm not Buddhist, I'm not Hindu, I'm not Christian, but I still feel like I have a deep connection with God."

I have never been a fan of Katy Perry, In fact, the infatuation of the Booze Brothers with her made melook up a few research items about her switch from Gospel singer to  lewd and lascivious behavior,

A reader sent me this link about Katy Perry and satanism, which included the following quote:

Christian gospel singer Natalie Grant walked out of the Grammys after after seeing act after act of rampant sexuality and satan worship and former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron tweeted
Is it just me or are some of the Grammy performances so far seem to be really demonic?? Looks like there is a lot of evil in the world.

Ask Ski about MariQueen's resume.

We were aware of how Satanism was pushed into children's entertainment almost 40 years ago. A cartoon figure would turn her face and there would be the upside-down star on her cheek -  while she smirked.

The WELS' response to the Book of Concord is antagonism and ignorance. One WELS pastor responded to the idea of studying the Book of Concord this way - "It's boring and irrelevant."

An anti-Confessional church body is always going to succumb to the fads of the day and quickly move on to the next ones. The entertainment industry, where WELS is but a small node, is steeped in Satanism, pan-sexuality, and bestiality.

"We can be friends if you but
bow down and worship me."

Joel Osteen Agrees with the Antichrist

Which doofus is posing with his wife?

God “absolutely” approves of everyone — including homosexuals — declared one of America’s most well-known evangelical pastors
The Houston megapastor and best-selling author Joel Osteen, whose followers include the likes of Cher and Oprah Winfrey, is hitting the talk-show circuit to promote his new book, “Break Out! 5 Keys to Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life.”
Osteen, the very visible face of Lakewood Church in Houston since 1999,  talked to the Huffington Post about his thoughts on prayer, the pope and the homosexual lifestyle.
HuffPo Live host Josh Zepps quoted from Osteen’s new book: “It doesn’t matter who likes you or who doesn’t like you, all that matters is God likes you. He accepts you, he approves of you.”
Zepps followed up by asking if that included homosexuals.

Pastor Joel Osteen
“Absolutely,” Osteen insisted, “I believe that God has breathed his life into every single person. We’re all on a journey. Nobody’s perfect.”
Osteen, who oversees a congregation of 45,000 followers, stated all people must be acknowledged for who they are and expressed reluctance to “categorize” sin.
“The Bible said a sin is pride, a sin is selfish ambition. We tend to pick out these certain things,” he said.
“But I believe every person is made in the image of God, and you have accept them as they are, on their journey. I’m not here to be preaching hate, pushing people down. I’m not here telling people what they’re doing wrong.”
Osteen has said numerous times that he believes living a homosexual lifestyle is a sin in accordance with his understanding of Christian scripture.
In an appearance on Fox News Sunday in 2012, Osteen discussed his position on homosexuality by telling host Chris Wallace that he “doesn’t dislike anybody” and believes gays are some of “most loving people in the world,” despite his strongly held conviction that homosexuality is a sin.
“I believe the scripture says that being gay is a sin. But, you know, every time I say that, Chris … people say, well, you are a gay hater and you’re a gay basher,” Osteen told Wallace during the interview. “I’m not. I don’t – I don’t dislike anybody. Gays are some of the nicest, kindest, most loving people in the world. But my faith is based on what I believe the scripture says, and that’s the way I read the scripture.”
Osteen also discussed Pope Francis during the Huffington Post interview, saying he appreciates the pontiff’s inclusive nature.
“I think the pope is fantastic, his tone, his humility,” he said.
“We may not agree 100 percent on doctrine and theology, but the Catholic Church, our church, it’s open for everybody. I like his tone, not pushing people away.”
A caller during the live interview asked Osteen to give his definition of spirituality and religion.
“I do think that religion has turned a lot of people off. Part of it is because it was all about the rules and was political. I think now people have a hunger for God, they want to have a relationship, but they don’t want to be called religious. I’m not trying to get them to join my religion, I’m just trying to plant a seed of hope in their heart.”
As WND reported, Osteen was once the victim of an elaborate hoax that suggested he was quitting his church and abandoning his faith. Osteen was in fact not quitting, despite several phony websites, news stories and even a YouTube video declaring otherwise.
The pastor wasn’t immune from criticism during his Huffington Post interview.
A caller chastised him for preaching about the power of praying for “things.”
Osteen agreed in part: “I don’t think you should spend your life praying for things, but I do believe you should thank God for what He’s given you. I think the scripture teaches us that we can pray for our dreams, pray for the big things. He’s not a small God; this God is incredible.”

Does Tim Glende Really Want
To Lead the Defense of WELS
In the Joel Hochmuth Man-Boy Love Scandal?

Glende's assistant and perp school buddy, Ski,
posed with this Playboy model and posted it in his Facebook albums.
As everyone knows, Hefner is an advocate for pan-sexuality.
Glende and Ski also posted well known snaps with Katy Perry.

Tim Glende's Fake Ichabod blog:

Jackson and his ilk will try all they want to discredit the WELS in connection with Joel Hochmuth's arrest. But WELS has handled the situation well. We pray for all the child victims of such pornography. We also pray for Mr. Hochmuth, that he specifically come to repentance over his sins.

And one other thing. Greg Jackson, get your head out of the gutter.

---

A $20,000 bond has been ordered for a Lutheran church leader charged with possessing hundreds of images of child pornography. 52-year-old Joel Hochmuth is due back in Waukesha County Circuit Court December 16th. A judge will decide whether there’s enough evidence to put him on trial for three felony count of child porn possession. Hochmuth is the communications director for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. According to prosecutors, he admitted being addicted to watching porn videos of young males – and after his wife caught him doing it, the couple went to get counseling. Authorities said they seized several hundred images from his home computer, plus 310 photos and 38 videos from his office computer. Synod president Mark Schroeder says the church is “shocked and devastated” by Hochmuth’s arrest. He’s being suspended, and the church is reviewing his employment status.

GJ - "But WELS handled the situation well." The crime itself is so appalling that I have resisted putting verbatim quotations from the Criminal Complaint on the blog. Grown men are depicted raping little boys.

In 2009, Hochmuth and SP Schroeder put their names on a statement, still being posted, about how terrible ELCA was to endorse homosexuality.

Classic NIV Romans 1:27-32
In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

SP Schroeder's latest venture in protecting the WELS brand was to claim the MLC gay video was done deliberately to mock homosexuality. He demanded and got an apology from Herman Otten, ever anxious to please all synod officials. Previously, the MLC boys claimed they did not know they were plagiarizing--frame by frame--a popular video filmed at Fire Island. They withdrew the video from YouTube, then had it reposted again twice - on YouTube and Facebook.

WELS has spent decades normalizing perverse behavior, such as having the freshmen at NWC pretend to have anal intercourse with the Sprinter statue (now at MLC). That was part of their hazing ritual. Scandals with church workers and children have been covered up, time after time.

This crime happened on synod property. The ovine members and pastors will let it go away, like all the other crimes of the past. WELS still denies the fact that two men murdered their wives. But the more they praise themselves for "how they handled it," the worse it will get. Massive resignations or firings normally follow this kind of debacle. Covering up leads to worse crimes, as recent history has shown.

bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Does Tim Glende Really Want To Lead the Defense of...":

That's the typical WELS attitude the Fake Ichabod is displaying--that to talk about any news that puts the WELS in bad light is evil, and those who discuss it have their head in the gutter. This Pietist "head buried in the sand" attitude is how Stephan could get away with his public sins for years.

So the victims of child pornography get one WELS press release, and that's supposed to be the end of the discussion in the minds of many WELS members, especially those on the WELS payroll. Ha! I hope the discussion goes on a lot longer.

Fake Ichabod: "And one other thing. Greg Jackson, get your head out of the gutter."

GJ - Tim Glende and Ski like to pose with pornography stars while ordering me not to cover their pornographic synod activities.

The last stage of Pietism is hedonistic atheism.

Too Much Politeness - Too Many Concessions

Isn't worship with Babtist Andy Stanley a complete repudiation of Lutheran doctrine?
How about Groeschel (Methodist-Covenant) sermons dishonestly peddled as original?
Did Glende and Ski show any brotherly concern for fellow pastors in this endeavor?

http://livinthehylife.blogspot.com/2010/09/core-mission-church.html

The CORE a Mission Church?

A new comment was added to one of my previous postings today. I think it is useful to address the assertion of the commentator, as it is something that I have been considering myself regarding the CORE:
Anonymous Said . . .
St. Peter church never declared St. Paul's dead or dying. St. Paul has a wonderful Hmong ministry mission along with a traditional ministry, area churches including St. Peter supports their ministry by sending volunteers to help with Hmong Saturday school. The CORE and St. Paul service times are completely different as well so they are not competing.

The mission of The CORE was/is to reach out to young adults, the age group that was falling away from church or would be less likely to come into a traditional church setting (a St. Peter or a St. Paul) and on a Sunday evening when young adults would be more likely to come. What better way to reach out to them than be part of their neighborhood. Perhaps you didn't drive east two more blocks...The CORE is walking distance from the largest college in town. The fact they were able to lease a beautiful building and a location downtown near the largest group of young adults in the city is truly a blessing from God.
September 14, 2010 11:14 AM

Personally, I think that Pastor Ski had good intentions when he went into the CORE, much like the above commentator suggests. In fact, I am hard pressed to believe that any of the WELS Pastors who buy into the Church and Change (WELS version of Church Growth Ministry) mentality do so with evil intent. It probably starts with a comment from some naive teenager like myself (along the lines of "I hate going to church and hearing the same old thing every week"). Or maybe the pastor witnesses the "growth" of an evangelical church, and starts to believe there is something to it. Perhaps his son or daughter has started to read or listen to contemporary "theologians" and their way of doing things. It's really not that hard to imagine.

So what does the pastor do? He starts to become less rigid in his application of the liturgy. Maybe he decides to rearrange a portion here and add a segment there. Then he decides that, instead of an Old Testament and Epistle reading, it would be better to just have one longer, relevant reading in addition to the sermon text. Or maybe he decides that it's not necessary to read the gospel every single week. Maybe he begins to insert a "popular" contemporary worship band's musical stylings before or after the sermon, as it is pertinent to his message.

But it doesn't end there. As the title of this blog suggests, yeast has a way of spreading. Soon "small group ministries" are being promoted as "essential" to the church. Then an "Alternative Worship Experience" pops up, an event which is lay-led, praised for it's lack of pastor, organ, liturgy (and, though un-noted, the Sacraments). But this "service" is okay, because it's meant to reach out to the lost and draw them into regular corporate worship, not serve as a means to strengthen those who are already saved. However, eventually this contemporary worship service starts to replace regular Sunday worship. What's more, the "liturgical" Sunday worship services - particularly the sermons - start to become more and more law focused, with an emphasis on personal piety.

Each one of these "changes" probably seemed relevant and God-pleasing at the time, but in reality they are inching closer and closer to the age-old ideology of pietism. Pietism is nothing new in the Lutheran church - in today's world, it's just coming with a different flavor. Intrepid Lutherans recently posted a very pertinent essay regarding this very subject:

"The New White-Wine Pietists," by Craig Parton

The fact of the matter is, whether or not the "hip" and relevant Pastors who implement CG methodology have good intent, the results tend to be much the same in every circumstance: Me-centered worship lacking any real emphasis on the Means of Grace. I truly believe that Pastor "Ski" and the leaders at St. Peter's Freedom started the CORE with similar good intentions. They wanted to reach the lost of Appleton by providing the city with a Mission of sorts. Unfortunately, the CORE has turned out to be little more than a "cool" alternative for teens to Christ-centered worship at their home congregations. As the cliche saying goes: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Once error has been exposed, there is no excuse for those who persist in it, even if the error is "understandable." Let us hope that the relevant individuals have their hearts softened by the Holy Spirit in these matters.

Mousing over will make the text above appear, like magic.

***

GJ - The false teachers--who include the DP, Glende, Ski, Parlow, and more--do not have good intentions. They abuse the patience of others by seeing how much they can get away with. The pastors who have tried to deal with them (as required by WELS Rules #3411-4306) have found them rude, indifferent, and just plain nasty.

Does anyone think teens will be deceived into the Kingdom with Groeschel retread sermons wrapped in Stanley corporate business-think?

These middle-aged teens, posing with floozies, are the worst possible examples to the youth of Appleton:

1. Spend a fortune (but from whom?) on false doctrine conferences.
2. Rent a movie theater because that is the new fad.
3. Sheep steal.
4. Plagiarize.

Which one of those SORE values will help youth in the 21st century?

---

Daniel Baker has left a new comment on your post "Too Much Politeness - Too Many Concessions":

The point is that, good intentions or not (I am still hard pressed to believe that they set out to deceive the Elect, but it's not something worth arguing over), Ski, Glende, et al. are beyond the point of being given "the benefit of the doubt" and are now in persistent error. Thus, we need not "give it a chance," as it has proven by its fruit to be steeped in falsehood.

Pastor Ski Will Explain Why He Posed with the Playboy Model, Katy Perry (fallen Gospel singer), And Other Mysteries

Wrong Rev. Groeschel. My bad.
