Kuske was given the title of District VP Emeritus, but he openly discussed his objections to Objective Justification being taught at the Mequon seminary. So the Michigan District removed his honorary Emeritus designation.

Quoted a Michigan District pastor - "Kuske said when the seminary students graduated,  'There goes another class of false doctrine.'" I do not have the recording, but I do remember this rare item being conveyed to me. 

Pick Your Universalism - #1 - The Cross - #2 - the Resurrection

 

This is the basic empty grave absolution of the world, not original with CFW Walther B.A., or even with Martin Stephan, STD, but widely taught in Pietism and in Calvinism.

Those who claim the entire world has been absolved of all guilt will always use the fallacy of emphasis. They find a nugget and fashion it into false doctrine, often with great glee and fierce looks at those who dare to disagree.

One key passage is frequently the source of Objective Justification nonsense. Readers will find that the 1 Timothy 3:16 passage is used to promote the Watherian absolution of the entire world...without faith. Later, the scheming Walther used predestination "to prove" that faith is a work of man. 

KJV 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

This verse can be seen as a creed or short hymn, certainly poetic with six aorist participles. "Without controversy" can be translated literally as "confessionally." However, the Lutherans who use the word "confessional" every few minutes - and in their Facebook titles - are those who reject and ridicule Justification by Faith.

3. Believed on in the world
4. Received up in glory.
5. Seen of angels
6. Preached unto the Gentiles.

The second phrase - justified in the Spirit - is twisted into claiming that the Holy Spirit absolved the unbelieving world when Jesus rose from the dead. In fact, Jesus Christ is sinless in His divinity, not from a declaration or a change over time. His resurrection proved what was always true, He was both man and God, two natures, one person. To claim that Jesus - without sin - was declared without sin is another mental pretzel fashioned by the Objective Justification mob.

Walther - borrowing from Bishop Stephan STD - makes the resurrection of Christ the absolution of the entire world, a claim without any basis in the Scriptures, but popular in Pietism and Calvinism. 

 Jay Webber is fond of Rambach. One discussion was here. Webber argued in favor of Rambach but against Chemnitz, which the Intrepid Lutherans found abusive and amusive.

Luther's Epiphany sermon points out that the so-called intellectuals twist words around rather than teaching the plain Word of God. The content of 1 Timothy 3:16 is an expression of Christ's glory, not mankind's absolution without faith.

The Objective Justification beehive likes to merge 1 Timothy 3:16 with Romans 4. The 1932 Brief Statement facilitates that error. But let's start with the actual passage.

KJV Romans 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Missouri Synod B.S. - 1932

"Scripture teaches that God has already declared the whole world to be righteous in Christ, Rom. 5:19; 2 Cor. 5:18-21; Rom. 4:25..."

 By citing Romans 4:25 and not the verses before 4:25, the LCMS and its copycats repeat the false doctrine of Walther, Stephan, and Rambach. The New NIV (but not the older one) is loved by the Synodicals because Romans 3 has everyone being justified.

What is objective justification?

Let me pass along a few paragraphs from This We Believe, a statement of belief of our church body, that answer your question.

“4. We believe that God reconciled “the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them” (2 Corinthians 5:19). We believe that Jesus is “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). The mercy and grace of God are all-embracing; the reconciliation through Christ is universal; the forgiveness of sins has been gained as an accomplished fact for all people. Because of the substitutionary work of Christ, God has justified all people, that is, God has declared them to be not guilty. This forms the firm, objective basis for the sinner’s assurance of salvation.” [from III. Christ and Redemption]

“1. We believe that God has justified all sinners, that is, he has declared them righteous for the sake of Christ. This is the central message of Scripture upon which the very existence of the church depends. It is a message relevant to people of all times and places, of all races and social levels, for “the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men” (Romans 5:18). All need forgiveness of sins before God, and Scripture proclaims that all have been justified, for “the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men” (Romans 5:18).

“2. We believe that individuals receive this free gift of forgiveness not on the basis of their own works, but only through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9). Justifying faith is trust in Christ and his redemptive work. This faith justifies not because of any power it has in itself, but only because of the salvation prepared by God in Christ, which it embraces (Romans 3:28; 4:5). On the other hand, although Jesus died for all, Scripture says that “whoever does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). Unbelievers forfeit the forgiveness won for them by Christ (John 8:24).” [from IV. Justification by Grace through Faith]

Luther is not welcome in the floundering and divided WELS, ELS, and LCMS. Justification by Faith is the Chief Article of Christianity, but the Midwestern sects like to say their OJ error is the real thing.

Q: I have heard some Lutherans say they do not believe the Bible teaches objective justification. How can they assert this and still call themselves “Lutheran”?

A: Your question is perceptive. As you intimate, the teaching of objective justification is plainly taught in Scripture, and is a vital doctrine of our Lutheran Confessions. People who deny this have no right to claim the name “Lutheran,” even though they may correctly insist that a sinner is saved only by faith in Jesus Christ and not by works.

Hardened Hearts - Or Alcoholic Synods - Teach Universal (Faithless) Justification

Believe it or not, these two verses are the crown jewels of Universal Objective (Faithless) Justification!

Those pompous dogma distributors propagate the first five words - "By grace are ye saved" - because they cannot tolerate the next two - "through faith." They are completely hardened and blinded by their five-word motto.

An audio tape (remember them?) captured my attention when an LCA leader, full of wrath, denounced Evangelicals because "they do not teach grace!" Say that out loud with your teeth gritted in wrath and despair. The tape was from the Word and Witness program.

The tone of voice puzzled me as much as the claim. I had to learn the intricacies stupidities of Universal Objective Justification before I understood the blind wrath.

Whether the fetid, brackish stream flows from Calvinism, Pietism, Walther or his handpicked yes-men, the basics are the same:

1. The entire world has already been saved.
2. Everyone must agree with #1 or be damned.
3. Those who call this Universalism are damned.

They define faith as agreeing with #1, so it is a closed system. At Bethany, the seminary taught that the people in Hell are saved but it does not do them any good. That is pretzel preaching.

is either blinded or completely hardened by the Holy Spirit in the Word. Rationalism is either the mother or the child of Objective (Faithless) Justification. Pietism gave birth to Rationalism at Halle University, and the school was created to teach Biblical knowledge in the Spener tradition but quickly converted into mocking the Scriptures. A little bit of leaven will leaven the entire batch of bread.

The American Lutheran church bodies were all affected by Pietism, but the lying historians of WELS, ELS, and Missouri now claim they always taught Justification properly (as UOJ). Ha! It was a mixed message. 

Walther, a Pietistic pimp and felonious riot-maker, worked Stephan's toxic Objective Justification into the sect via his rabid Calvinistic Theses on Grace (double predestination) and through his clever Wisconsin Synod raised Francis Pieper. Once they put Stephan-Walther's OJ into the 1932 Brief Statement, the OJists were able to make that particular convention statement (Scripture by Vote) the Alpha and Omega of all their dogma. It is still solemnly posted on the LCMS website. Those are the same dolts who mocked Luther for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. A little leaven - wait, I said that already.

The phrase "in Christ" actually means faith in Christ, not Justification without Faith. Valleskey canonized Fuller Seminary Church Growth at Mequon, not without help. Paul Calvin Kelm seemed to meddle with all the seminary classes without getting the job.

This simply means that one must accept that God forgave everyone the moment Christ rose from the tomb. Some move that back to Adam and Eve. Scholars are divided.

Emmaus is where Lutherans go to close their eyes and say, "Make Ichabod go away!"

ELS-WELS-LCMS Agree with ELCA

Pastor Jay Webber (ELS) and WELS District President Jon-Boy Buchholz appeared together at the Emmaus Conference to repeat their synods' Objective Justification nonsense.

ELS - We Believe, Teach and Confess

"By His perfect life and His innocent sufferings and death Jesus has redeemed the entire world. God thereby reconciled the world to Himself, and by the resurrection of His Son declared it to be righteous in Christ. This declaration of universal righteousness is often termed “objective justification.” One has this justification as a personal possession and is personally declared by God to be righteous in Christ when he or she is brought to faith in Him as Savior. This is often called “subjective justification”. If the objective fact of Christ’s atonement is not personally received by faith, then it has no saving benefit for the individual. We reject as unscriptural any teaching that people can be saved apart from faith in Jesus Christ. See 1 John 2:2, 2 Cor. 5:19, John 1:29, 2 Pet. 2:1, John 3:16-18, 2 Cor. 5:19, Rom. 4:25, 1:17 and 5:1-2."

Romans 

Romans 4:25 does not teach OJ, because the complete sentence teaches Justification by Faith - 

"KJV Romans 4:23-25 - 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification."

Romans 1:17 emphasizes faith in Jesus Christ. That does not mean believing they are already forgiven and righteous.

KJV Romans 1:17 - "17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

KJV Romans 5:1-2 - "5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

2 Corinthians

2 Corinthians 5:19 - "19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Like many of their bogus proofs from CFW Walther - the thief, riot manager, and kidnapper - 1 Corinthians 5:19 does not equate the Atonement with Justification by Faith. 

Rambach, Webber, and 1 Timothy 3:16

Another one of the ELS favorite false proofs (from Jay Webber hisself) is KJV 1 Timothy 3:16, blatantly trying to equate the Atonement with Justification by Faith..

"16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Webber jumped into a discussion with his quote from the Pietist Rambach, where the following absurdity comes from - "the world was absolved of all sin the moment Jesus rose from the dead." Webber argued the Pietist notion against Martin Chemnitz, Luther's student and Book of Concord editor.

John 3:16-18

"KJV John 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

This destroys the ELS argument completely, because God loving the world is His nature, but those who do not believe are already condemned. Just as they confuse the Atonement with Justification, so these Pietists merge God's love with Universalism.

I remain baffled that the ELS leaders proclaim their errors on their website. Even stranger is the ELS, WELS, and LCMS rejoicing in their mutual false doctrine, with the same doctrinal discernment as the Universalist ELCA.

ELS, LCMS, and WELS formally agreed on Objective Justification. Here is some satire for the humorless OJists.

The Little Three - ELS, WELS, and LCMS - have dumped Walter A. Maier, a Harvard PhD in the Old Testament - in favor of ELCA Pietism. Everyone knows - Anything Goes.

Synodical Conference - The Three Stooges - Not Very Funny

Matt the Fatt, Mirthless Mark, and Glenn the Unmovable

Much like the Three Stooges, the three presidents of the Olde Synodical Conference have their dignified look and their entertainment personality.

This troubling split comes from their rejection of Lutheran Biblical doctrine and their pose as serious, studious, pastors. In fact, the two larger small denominational heads have had almost no parish experience at all. 

Matt the Fatt raised money and bragged that his former fund-raising operation floated the LCMS budget, until he became president and closed the agency down. Mirthless Mark served a Florida parish until he wrote an essay mildly questioning the Church Growth Movement. He was immediately upgraded to high school principal at the school which merged into Luther Prep in Watertown, Wisconsin. Nothing was done to stop the hazing, which is encouraged by staff at the two high schools, the merged college, and Mordor itself - in Mequon. Needless to say, cross-dressing is a major theme of WELS schools and preceded ELCA's obsessions by decades. Pueri pueri erunt, but do they have to dress like girls?

The Little Sect on the Prairie was going to elevate Glenn the Unmovable to the rank of President, but a clique made sure he was bypassed in favor of WELS loyalist Moldstad. Kincaid Smith passed this gossip to me via a mutual friend, which I published, leading to another Left Foot of Fellowship, one of the distinct sacraments of WELS/ELS. However, Glenn became president of the sect 19 years later.

This is the toxic glue that holds the modern Three Stooges together, total nonsense repeated so often it has become canonical.

I have tried for years to make sense out of the LCMS-WELS-ELS infatuation with Objective Justification - Forgiveness without Faith. We can easily see how Abraham believed in the Messianic Promises and was reckoned righteous because of his faith. 

KJV Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

The crucial fourth chapter of Romans teaches this with perfect clarity but the OJ Stooges ignore it completely and say repeatedly that the entire world was forgiven of all sin the moment Jesus rose from the dead, a false claim from the Pietists about KJV 1 Timothy 3:16 - "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

KJV Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

This fourth chapter in Romans is completely ignored by the new Stooges as they chatter away and find delight in their mutual agreement over OJ. The least intelligent and least discerning in the LCMS-WELS-ELS sat down to express their delight and unity in OJ - also called 

• General Justification, 
• the Justification of the World, 
• Universal Justification, and 
• Universal Objective Justification. 

Their hero is a Preuss who became a Roman Catholic leader and editor! He said, "Give me the documents and I can prove anything." Or was that David Scaer?

 Robert Preus eventually repudiated OJ in his book Justification and Rome, but his sons could not see that until I brought it up a few dozen time. Rolf no longer quotes the book.

How do these clowns portray the Nativity? Everything is OK because the cross means every cannibal, every murderer, every pagan priest, every atheist, everyone persecuting the Christian Faith is forgiven! 

Their OJ consecrates and upholds the worst of foul dogma, so they are poisoning their own synods with a parade of neo-Roman and Eastern Orthodox seminary professors who demand adoration for denigrating the Gospel.

This fails any test, whether sobriety or just plain English, the product of a failed PhD in Germany.

McCain and his work for the church and the uniform experience of those who interacted with him online as being argumentative and generally unpleasant. After all, who ever heard of a Lutheran pastor being banned from a Lutheran theology blog! Most of us who conversed with Rev. McCain online did so because we recognized a knowledgeable pastor of high standing in the church who was eager to communicate. Quite a rarity. What often transpired for most, however, was heated, hardheaded disagreement if you didn’t see things his way, which was unfortunate. Rev. McCain was not one to make friends easily. And yet, in spite of all of his (and our) many personal failings, at the end of our lives, God welcomes us into eternal life, saying, “Welcome, good and faithful servant! I see none of your sins, but only the perfect faithfulness and righteousness of Jesus Christ, who clothed you with his salvation in baptism!” It is heartening to read the many outpourings of praise for the life and work of Rev. McCain, since these godly words reflect and confess the very view that Christ as our righteousness has of each of us sinners. What a fantastic witness!

Posted on Thursday, December 10, 2020 - 3:25 pm:       When I applied for readmission to the clergy roster of the LCMS, I met with three DPs who, during our conversation, suggested that I talk to Paul McCain to be reconciled with him. I was a bit perplexed about that inasmuch as I could recall nothing we needed to reconcile. But I called him on the phone as I promised to do, and when I related to him what they said to me he was as perplexed as I was. Neither of us could recall the alleged breach between us. Paul spoke his mind. So do I. He was a faithful Lutheran theologian. He said what he believed without apology.

GJ - These two men seem unfazed that McCain linked plagiarized material on LQ (sic), verbatim, from The Catholic Encyclopedia, and never apologized for it.

Of course, LutherQuest (sic) did not apologize for their blindness or for misleading their readers.

They do not object to McCain's career-long repudiation of St. Paul's Gospel, which puts them in the same camp. Apparently, their precious world absolution - without faith or the Gospel - is especially potent for the unrepentant. 

What was the result of his work at CPH? 

1. Establishing Objective Justification in print, even destroying Luther's Small Catechism.
2. Giving the Rationalism of Seminex free reign in the Biblical department.

Richard Jungkuntz, you won on every front! LCMS publishes Seminex Biblical books! LCMS-WELS-ELS teach Objective Justification with ferocity and wrath. You even broke ground with the gay seminary at the portable school, where you were chairman of the Board: Christ Seminex and the Metropolitan Community Church. LCMS and WELS schools of higher education are now gayer than Shakespeare's sonnets. (Jungkuntz got in trouble at WELS Northwestern College for teaching the Historical Critical Method. Isn't reconciliation wonderful?)

 This is the Chief Article which the false prophets, below, reject.

 Moldstad, Schroeder, Eaton, and Harrison teach Universal Justification, and they support abortion through their devotion and joint-work through Thrivent.

 Hale, the cub editor of Christian News, fulminates against the Chief Article, and, like his Father Below, cannot say the words of the Holy Spirit - Justification by Faith.

 Cascione has been corrected about his false reporting of the facts many times, but like his OJ pals, he cannot get the truth out, due to his homage to his hoofed Master.

McCain's slander is the highest possible commendation. Sometimes he is so dumb, he is funny. He accused me of broadcasting from the "spare room of a rented house." Can Paul name any precedents?

Bivens, a Fuller alumnus, borrowed Zarling's daring OJ/JFBA switch.

Brenner is another OJ Salesman at Mequon.

Like Bivens, Valleskey didn't go to Fuller Seminary too.

proclaimed OJ as Luther's doctrine at a tiny Emmaus Conference. Somehow, he skipped over Luther's Galatians, almost an Olympic sport among OJists.

The CLC (sic) claims The Brief Statement, 1932, on a level with the Book of Concord. No! It is above the Scriptures and the Book of Concord - and against both.

I gave the LutherQueasies and the SinOddicals a perfect chance to prove their Objective Justification from the Scriptures. Instead, they acted like Draino on clogged pipes. That magical powder used to be called the plumber's best friend, because it foamed magically and turned into concrete. A house call at emergency rates followed. The plumber would say in his Peter Falk voice, "Dat's OK lady. You needed a real professional for this plug."

Thus Mad Jack Cascione and his WELS friends faced a chance to battle against the Scriptural exegesis in The Path To Understanding Justification - Greek included. Instead they barked and growled like a pack of chihuahuas facing danger. They never dealt with Romans 4 or any Scripture passage, due to their lack of concentration and their devotion to philosophy.

They continue to yip and growl, revealing the deep wounds received during their recent hissy-fit. If someone could marshal all the arguments from man - and I get them daily from an academic publishing website - they would still mean nothing.

If a claim cannot be proved from Scripture alone, the argument is worthless. St. Paul was kind enough to summarize Romans 4 for everyone - Romans 5:1-2.

Rydecki Left One Author out of His Recent Article on Academia

 This is an exercise in verbal gymnastics.

I signed up for Academia.edu, so they email me more often than the others combined. I need the "pro" edition, which costs money, they advise me.

Recently they gave me the link to Rydecki's article on Romans 4:25. That website seems to be the only way ELDONA publishes. Heiser's Ft. Wayne pal, Paul McCain, banned them from the CPH fools-goldmine. "You gotta have distribution." Frank Fiorenza, Harvard University.

I looked over the references first, a habit acquired early. Guess whose name is missing on the list? Of course mine is - I will get to that later. Martin Luther! He wrote a commentary on Romans.

Perhaps there were no useful quotations for Rydecki, but the  practice of Lutherans bypassing Luther is strange to me.

Looking up four WELS-ELS statements on the topic seems to be a waste of time, if Luther is neglected. The essay is a compilation of statements about this issue, so many references that anyone interested in the topic will give up. A clear, concise argument is lacking.

People should know - I helped Rydecki when he was leaving WELS and UOJ at the same time. He favored UOJ at first, working on the Intrepid Lutherans, because WELS training is saturated with it. The frequent publishers on that blog came to the same conclusion, that WELS is completely wrong. That is the result of dealing with Biblical doctrine and its basic truths.

The move from teaching Justification by Faith officially to forcing UOJ institutionally was slow in WELS, as it was in the LCMS. Now the transition is complete, easing their shame at working with ELCA ("born forgiven!" Bob and Rolf Preus). The ELCA-WELS-ELS-LCMS synods share the same pestiferous dogma, which happens when sharing the same bed. "Lie down with dawgs, git up with fleas." (My Grampa)

Luther was quite distrustful of philosophy, which was the boat that floated the Medieval Papacy. He could argue philosophy with the best of them, as he did with Trinity in one sermon and on merit in his Galatians commentary. Luther's reliance on Scripture makes his works so useful today - and the reason why the Lutheran synods shun him so marvelously, even for the 500th anniversary, that I get the goosebumps. He is that good - and they are that corrupt.

I cannot get the false teachers to deal directly with Genesis 15:6 and Romans 4. They have an allergy to the Genesis passage and a blindness to the Abraham references in the New Testament. Surely they can get on their MyNIV database and find how often Abraham is a major figure in the New Testament. Where did poor Lazarus go when the angels carried him? - To Father Abraham! To be more precise, since hungry capons are always ready to pounce on a morsel - the rich man implored "Father Abraham." Jesus Himself referred to Lazarus' journey to Abraham, the man who believed the Messianic Promises and was justified by faith.

But I understand, having known so many theological types, including the most famous, such as Francis Fiorenza and Elisabeth Schuessler-Fiorenza, once at ND - both at Harvard, Stanley Hauerwas - Gifford Lectureship at St. Andrews, etc. They pile up so many authorities and compare so many scholars to each other! It is quite a show, but they remove themselves from the Word itself, as far away as possible.

The opportunity is far gone for delivering a glancing blow against the false exegesis of Romans 4:25. People need to know how to read the Bible as a unified truth instead of a meal ticket for theologians.
