Some Things Recently Done

We bought 10 more normal sized KJVs for the local jail ministry. That makes about 24 so far.

The first 100 KJVs were Super Large Print for various people - greatly appreciated. A pastor's wife wrapped her arms around one and said "My Bible!" The baby picture above made me think of her response.

KJVs of both sizes have been sent to members of the congregation and their relatives.

Some needed money was given this week for medical bills and heating costs.

We have sent several books 8,000 miles away to Africa, some closer in Canada, eh? Two Chemnitz books priced at $250 each from Amazon Canada were bought and sent for $5.00 each.

I was voted by acclaim as book distributor for Bethany, so I look for books sold almost for nothing because they are classics or given to the library - someone else needs and appreciates them.

This link takes you to a free KJV concordance, very easy for looking up words in the Bible. I used it to find all the times Abraham is found in the New Testament, for the I AM sermons book. An ELCA fan wrote me to question the value, perhaps because he did not connect the patriarch with Justification by Faith.

Bethany Lutheran Media Ministries - YouTube - Launched

Travis and Lauren Cartee are now uploading the videos from Ustream/IBM to YouTube. They can be found on the link above.

If you subscribe, you will find many more videos as they get transferred from HAL 9000 to the sunny slopes of YouTube.

IBM decided to stop supporting its own software, so we had to find another way to continue live videos over the Net plus the ability to save them. IBM wrapped it up in one easy package, taking over Ustream, then they repo-ed the package.

The IBM tech lady yelled at me, "Green screen? There is no green screen?" I had to calm her down and remind her how much dough we put into the monthly fees. Several things happened, including the loss of all 900 videos in the IBM storage, but they came back.

IBM was really fair and understanding. I had to adjust my thinking on how to do this, and they explained.

Travis and Lauren agreed to make the transfers to YouTube, and the videos have begun to show up on the

Meanwhile, the backup worship copies of Vimeo are being saved in order on:
and

We had another glitch in the Vimeo service today, so I made an appointment with one of their techies to discuss issues and how to resolve them. I will probably monitor the service separately on the laptop to give more elbow room for  our mainframe - ok, desktop, but with 32 megs of RAM, gigabit fiber optic bandwidth, and a hot CPU.

The live service will remain with the blog's top entry for the day and the player will have that particular service there with the entire service, sermon, and hymns linked.

Test - Sending the Sermon as a Blind Carbon Copy - Went Fine

I sent the previous sermon around as a blind carbon copy, our older email list with a number of updates. If you did not get it and want to be on the list, let me know - greg.jackson.edlp@gmail.com

All three email accounts come in on the same line now, so I am not concerned which one you use. If I get spam, I mark it as junk and it gets deleted automatically.

I appreciate all the interest and appreciation. To Luther, the sermon was everything. The Large Catechism is derived from his sermons.

Did You Get the Service Emailed Today? Write To Be on the List -
Or To Be Removed

Email is faster, for some reason.

Many members and friends want to get the worship services by email. At first the "new improvements" in Windows 10 prevented me from using the group email, dumping it as spam.

Today I used that list to send the entire service and sermon around as a Word attachment. Many people received it and and responded with pious mirth.

If you did not receive it and want to be on that list, please send me an email to greg.jackson.edlp@gmail.com.

If you received it and do not want worship emails, please send a cease and desist message to the same address.

The reviews are mixed. Fuller Seminary alumni are outraged and crying: "You are not schtoopid enough to be in our sect."

Bethany Lutheran Church is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Our tax-exempt status is managed by Attorney Glen Kotten, Sleepy Eye, Mankato, Minnesota.

I have finished setting up this account. Many people like PayPal.

This is where you set up your own Pay Pal account, to transfer funds. Many use it on e-Bay to provide goods for the online garage sale. Others use it for all their payments online.

You do not need a PayPal account to send funds. You can use any of the following:

PayPal

If someone lives in another country, getting a draft in US funds is very awkward and also expensive, as I understand.

Donations will go toward supporting Bethany Lutheran Church, worship services and publishing. People can use various forms of payment, including credit cards, to send funds via PayPal.

The Bethany Lutheran Church account was set up a long time ago, when the congregation was established as an ecclesiastical corporation in Minnesota, a favored state for denominational headquarters.

Christian Worship – Basic, No-Nonsense And No Frills

By accessing the following worship service web links (below) you will have at the click of your computer mouse, a Sunday by Sunday “Christian worship presence” – at home.

Pastor Jackson features many Biblical pics like this on his controversial / polemical website which exposes religious hypocrisy called: It's called: Ichabod The Glory Has Departed. Christian Pastor, educator and author, (Dr.) Gregory Jackson has been blessed with a rich understanding of the Hebrew (Old Testament) and New Testament Christian Scriptures. He’s experienced an extensive academic background having attended various educational institutions of higher learning, among which include, Notre Dame University, Yale University and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary.
Pastor Jackson is “no-frills.” He preaches and teaches the Holy Scriptures as the Holy Spirit breathed (inspired) Word of God. He is not beguiled by ever encroaching “Christian” heresies and the devilish deceptions of present-day culture. His sermon messages are laced with Scripture, historical background and everyday examples. At times he references specifics of Lord God’s creative nature, as he is an avid gardener.
Please note: Those of you web readers who do not care for any liturgy in Christian worship,  don’t allow that liturgical dislike from hearing God’s Word through the preached message. Sit back, listen and watch. Grab your filled coffee cup and brunch munch on some of your favorite donuts!
If you happen to miss the Sunday morning live broadcast you can catch it later on the recorded format. This same recorded format page lists past worship services and their (included) sermons. Just scroll down and select.
More on Pastor (Dr.) Gregory Jackson:
He is the author of multiple interesting and educational books:

Dr. (Pastor) Jackson also is the daily / weekly author of the polemical website, which exposes current-day denominational and church body religious hypocrisy:
