No One Votes for President - We Vote for Electors

The only vote we have for President is the vote for electors. The electors elect the President in December, so the term "popular vote" is deceptive, as if it is unfair if the total votes do not match the results of the Electoral College.

The Electoral College makes small population states - like Maine and New Mexico - important. Based on population alone, a few densely populated cities would elect the President each time.

I expect the election to be a done deal by midnight on Tuesday. I predict 47 states for Trump, though cheating could change that number. The House and Senate will have fewer Democrats due to the coattails effect. Burning down central business districts did not increase votes for the Left.

Mission Laptop Computer Fund - Completed

Our Philippine Missionary Jordan Plangyos reports that the $500 goal for the laptop has been met. I wanted to get that part completed before we helped with the car maintenance costs - $200.

Rice for the food shortage came first.

Church Growth experts know that donuts are the ticket for happy campers in America.

Mission Computer - Reaching Toward the Goal

Kitten pictures are expected on this blog, so enjoy them.

Pastor Jordan Palangyos has been borrowing Amabel's work computer for his work for the Bethany Lutheran Mission. He has done more with it than most Lutheran pastors in the US of A.

We are donating toward a laptop for the mission, and we have sent $300 or 60% of the estimated cost ($500 cost).

They just completed the October Rice Mission, which included distributing $1,000 worth of rice.

Pastor Jordan Palangyos and his wife, Dr. Amabel Palangyos.

Every meal in the Philippines includes rice, so the current shortage is a major problem.

The chapel started from the ground up, and work remains to be done.
God has blessed the mission with good workers and help from all over.

Fact-Checking the Walther Book

How many 19th century figures funded a denomination with a series of felonies?
The Great Walther is the only one I can recall.

I am going over the draft of Wather, The American Calvin: A Synod Built on Felonies. That should be required reading at all seminaries.

Many will remain in complete denial, because the Missouri Myth Machine never stops cranking out more baloney about the past.

The LCMS archives are like the Sigmund Freud Archives, not there to enlighten but to hide the truth from researchers.

Nevertheless, the background material is freely available. I will have a list of resources to use to verify the main points. But it is really up to the individual to do the reading. The trouble with historical sources is the volume of reading necessary to keep track of the main players.

Readers are free to be in total denial, so they can furiously look up the facts or ask synod leaders. The District President would never lie to anyone, would he? - like the one who said, "If this goes to trial, it will cost us $10 million - and there goes the Siberian mission."

The anniversary of Walther's birth was celebrated at the seminaries with solemnities normally reserved for Assumption Day. Walther was born without actual sin - I read that in many treatises devoted to masking the truth.
