The Fruit of WELS Objective Justification

The tree of unbelief - absolution without faith - angry, thin-skinned, vindictive, unforgiving, quick to condemn, deceitful, adulterous, alcoholic. Matthew 7:15ff.

I have heard from a number of WELS over the last decade. The stories are similar. The Wisconsin sect is abusive toward its own members and students. The WELS leaders routinely break the laws of our land and the precepts of the Scriptures. When challenged, they are angry, conniving, and vindictive.

I always tell people, "Do not go to the leaders. They have their own scheme of thwarting and expelling you. Take it to an attorney, with all the facts written down. Never talk directly to the officials again."

They encourage letters, which they can twist their way. They do not answer letters, not even when sent to the top officials. A letter or even an conversation has this background message - Kick Me.

The smart ones can at least get a sealed settlement, so no one knows the facts about their crimes. Felons get protection and new assignments. Dissenters get the Left Foot of Fellowship.

WELS - like Missouri and the Little Sect on the Prairie - is hyper-Pietist. They remind me of the Flour Messiah from Sweden (Bishop's Hill, Illinois). They are without sin in their own minds and propaganda, but adulterous in reality. Their blind followers accept that and snarl at anyone who says otherwise. They are infallible, so anyone who points out the facts will pay a price for it.

It is not just that the shun-button is pressed so quickly, but that its force is always humming in the background. A conversation with a WELS pastor will show that he glances around to make sure no one else is listening.

KJV Matthew 7

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Set up for this CG experiment, fueled by caffeine, staffed by five WELS losers, praised by the official magazine, Dead on Arrival.

Most people wonder how a sect can continue any longer while emphasizing and excommunicating over their delusion - the entire world has already been forgivenIn fact, the so-called conservative Lutherans are collapsing while claiming that the mainline Left-wingers are even worse off.

Faith in Christ only produces good fruit, but trust in absolution without faith yields bitter, corrupt fruit. Faith in Christ cannot produce evil fruit, and rejection of faith cannot yield good fruit. That is why the WELS loyalists hate the teaching of Justification by Faith.

WELS could learn so much from C. Peter Wagner. Too bad they paid attention to his Pentecostal delusions, not his conclusions.
