Francis Fiorenza taught at Notre Dame, and so did his wife. |
Frank Fiorenza's Harvard career is a good example of Roman Catholicism today.
Every so often I use search engines to find out where people are. Stan Hauerwas taught at Augustana College and took a paycut to go to Notre Dame. He is 84 this year, having many honors earned around the world and the US, after leaving Notre Dame for Duke University. He was already a prolific author and has not slowed down much.
My sister-in-law suggested that I see Stan Hauerwas for the PhD program. I met him at his windowless basement office at the library. I thought, "My office is in a basement too, and I have windows." |
