He has written a book! How about that! |
I was wondering about the Bishops' Synod - the NALC break-off from ELCA by bishops who had no urge to rebel from 1987 to 2009. Ken Sauer of Ohio was one of them, going from LCA bishop in Ohio to ELCA bishop in Ohio.
NALC has a teeny seminary that teams with an Episcopalian one. Both schools celebrate women pastors and women usurping authority over men. The systematics professor retired and David Luy came over from Trinity Divinity in Deerfield, where so many WELS leaders were trained in non-Lutheran doctrine and practice. NALC is all for "making disciples." Dost thou wonder why?
I could not find David Luy on LinkedIn so I just googled his name + Lutheran. That brought up the page from his previous job at Trinity Divinity. He got his PhD from the Jesuits - Marquette! All roads do lead from Rome nowadays. I need to build a gallery of Jesuit PhDs:
- John Sparky Brenner - WELS professor at Mordor, Dean of GA Hazing Rites.
- Jack Kilcrease - Our Lady of Sorrows Convent School (a nominal LCMS guy trained in ELCA but born in a WELS parsonage).
- Gregory Schulz - LCMS ex-professor, C.U. Mequon.
- Karl Fabrezius - LCMS pastor.
- David Luy - NALC Seminary.
- Charles Cortright - Wisconsin Lutheran College, WELS.
Pope Francis, Jesuit - "Our plan is to have the Lutheran clergy come back to Holy Mother Church - it is working well. We have great strategies and the means to execute them." |
