Walther loved the phrasing in English - OJ, SJ - and those terms went back to Germany to be used there.

The Walther gang continued to promote the bad leaven of OJ through their canonical Brief Statement of 1932. Missouri began to unravel from that point, not because Pieper died but because the Stephan-Walther-Pieper dogma took over.
