16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Explanation
Nothing is more obvious today than the Reformation heirs departing from the Bible and clinging to the title of priest. The agenda is clear - they are to be called Father and identified by their expensive costumes. They want to be known by their gestures and clouds of incense while performing the Mass and despising the Gospel.
Jesus is the priest and the seed of Abraham. When God promised the patriarch followers more numerous than the stars in the sky, He was predicting the millions of Christian believers trusting in the Promise and being forgiving - Justification by Faith, Romans 4 - 5:2.
KJV Genesis 15
15 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
2 And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
