The whole world
is by nature under the law, and in the flesh, and cannot please God. The
whole world by nature does not have the gift of the Holy Ghost.

fanatics skip over and omit faith in Christ and Baptism. In contrast
the apostle Peter urged the crowd at Pentecost to be baptized when they
asked him what they should do.
"Therefore let
all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same
Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard
this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the
rest of the apostles, 'Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter
said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of
the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and
to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call "
Acts 1:36-39
The apostle Peter preached the
true gospel, repentance, faith in Christ, and Baptism. In contrast
picture a wild eyed OJ/SJ freak preaching to this crowd at Pentecost.
What would he tell them to do? He would stress they were already
forgiven and justified by God prior to and without faith and without
baptism. Then he would urge them to admit this lie is true for them
personally. True Christians would call this synergism not true faith in
Christ.
"For ye are all the children of God by
faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ. Gal. 3:26,27
