WELS Got Way Ahead of the Liberal Evangelicals -
Billy Graham's Unrepentant Grandson Filing for Divorce and in a New Call

The LCMS kicked Floyd Luther Stolzenberg out of his call - for cause.
WELS soon made him a highly paid Church Growth Consultant
and allowed him to play the role of a pastor in Columbus,
then endorsed him for a new call.
Jay Webber, Paul Kuske, DP Robert Mueller, Kovo, Wally Oelhafen,
and the Michigan District pastors went along with this farce.

Shameful: Tchividjian is on staff at a PCA church in Central FL. This has been verified by multiple sources.

GJ - Does anyone wonder why WELS is shrinking faster than Clinton/Bush prospects for the presidency?

Our boy Tullian blamed his adultery on his wife's adultery, a fine example of clergy deception and lack of repentance.

The WELS clergy in Columbus told everyone that Floyd Luther had a "Scriptural divorce," which was a bald-faced lie. Jack Preus said that was not true. Herman Otten said it was not true, and another well known LCMS leader said it was not true. Floyd's associate at Salem in Blackjack, Missouri said the congregation would have blown apart if all the husbands and fathers knew the truth.

Of course, Marvin Schwan also had a "Scriptural divorce," which I asked to have explained to me. I said, "Is that like Scriptural murder?"

Adultery seems to be the default mode of the WELS clergy, from many reports. The leaders only object when it gets out into the open and makes them look as stupid, corrupt, and degenerate as they actually are.

The congregations know how bad it is, at least in their little territories. For some, it is a delight to have the clergy and teachers as loose as they are - in the name of sinning more that grace may abound. For others, it is the final reason for leaving.

Marvin Schwan divorced his wife to marry the
wife of one of his executives.
His cruelty led to his first wife's suicide.
No wonder the WELS leaders were pawing the ground
for the New NIV.

Gibbs Says - Always Watch the Watchers - Rule 35

The Watchers - Lord of the Rings

The Two Watchers were two three-headed phantom-statues located on the southeastern side of the Tower of Cirith Ungol, guarding the "gate".

They served as guardians of the tower, creating an invisible barrier between them through the force of their will alone, which prevented any enemy from passing the gate. The statues seemed to be somewhat sentient, being able to sense enemies whether visible or invisible. The statues, seated unmoving upon thrones, one on either side of the archway, had three joined bodies- one that faced inward, one that faced outward, and one that faced the other. The heads were like vultures with glittering black eyes, and they had clawlike hands which lay upon their great knees. They seemed to be carved out of huge blocks of stone. Some evil spirit of vigilance lived within them and created what Sam felt to be, "some web like Shelob's, only invisible".

The Lord of the Rings is an allegory.

The apostates were talking over Lutherdom decades ago, and everyone let it happen, one supposedly trivial event at a time.

The strange thing about this is - the leaders are all cowards, face to face. Walk up to one and challenge him about anything and he will:

  • Cringe and try to run away - as Valleskey did when I walked toward him after his "spoiling the Egyptians" rave about the wonders of Church Growth.
  • Become pale, stammer, and deny the obvious, as many have done when I brought up the facts.
  • Engage in flattery.
  • Offer a bribe, such as a call to a new location.
  • Rage and bluster, completely out of control.
The Lutheran leaders go on full alert when their citadel, Mordor, is threatened. They do not want to work for living. Teach confirmation class again? Horrors. They do not want to give up all their Thrivent loot and Thrivent funded luxury vacations. When Lutherans are freezing in winter in the upper Midwest, their District Presidents are in the Caribbean - "having a meeting."

The Lutheran leaders do not want to write their own sermons. They understand that ecclesiastical wheels are greased with cover-ups and defenestrations. They have no use for the efficacy of the Word. When they hear key terms, the ones they hate from the Confessions, the Thing-Wraiths are sent out to protect what these cloven hoofed leaders love the most - their Things.

"Who is taking away our Things?
Destroy him."

Staggering Examples of Design in Ancient History - and in the Backyard

The meme above is so handy, I often use it for answering any puzzle. This archeologist is on the History Channel and usually has the same answer for ancient mysteries.

Ancient tools, engineering, and monuments fascinate me. As we all know, very little can be constructed without special tools. Gardening without shovels, trowels, pruning tools - forget it.
And yet gardening is quite primitive compared to building homes and buildings.

Ancient monuments are so enormous and precisely made that people still scratch their heads about how these were fashioned.

Instead of attributing this to aliens, I think the answers lie in pre-Flood technology and its evidence still existing. But I do not have to explain how - this only makes the engineering of Creation more impressive.

When gigantic stones are moved and placed together without mortar, everyone knows that engineering and tools were required. I will leave the explanations to those who know far more than I do.

Orioles Weave and Other Creatures Work with Mud
I was discussing orioles with Norma Boeckler, and their wonderful hanging bag nests. Like the Great Pyramid, no one can deny this nest hanging from the branch. The weaving skills are impressive, but even more so - the software that guides the tiny brain of the bird.

The blocks I used to build the Bird Paradise have a total of 36 protected openings in them. I found evidence of mud dauber wasps in some holes and birds' nesting material in others. I washed them all out so I can see what happens in the future.

If birds are a marvel in building nests, how much more marvelous are the insects that build homes from mud and manufacture their own paper for nests?

Some people scream like little girls about wasps, but I say, "Bring them on. Leave their nests alone. They are Close Air Support, taking out the enemy."

We focus on individual characteristics of insects, but I look at the infinite dependencies of all the creatures and plants, working together when timing is essential. There is even a body of science about this timing. The right insects, birds, and plants must work together to be productive.

Wasps attack pests all summer, but in the fall, when berries are easily available, they feed on berries, and their bodies change, getting ready for winter. A co-inky-dink? If so there are many more to explain, such as plants signaling for beneficial insects and getting help flown in, often baby beneficials that eat their way out of the pest and grow up to lay eggs that do the same.

"Alien? I am praying."
