Gollum's Ring - Fits Matt the Fatt, Mirthless Mark Schroeder,
And the Rest of the Walther Cult

A conservative journalist associated the Democrat Party, its crafts and assaults, with Tolkien's Gollum, the demonic fellow who lusted for the special ring that Bilbo Baggins found. Indeed, the ring was enchanting and destructive at the same time.

Archbishop Liz Eaton has felt the magic of that ring as well.

One Church Growther (ELS) jumped all over me for reading The Lord of the Rings. It turns out that he was wary of LOTR but enchanted by Fuller Seminary. His fake doctorate from Ft. Wayne was anti-Scripture, immersed in the real dangers ahead.

This little post is an analogy of an analogy, so patience is warranted. Literature is full of analogies, and universities even test that skill when students apply for scholarships. In literature, there are Moby Dick, Pilgrim's Progress, LOTR, and many more analogies.

American denominations are bewitched by Fuller Seminary, so much that laughable DMin programs promote the idea that they are Doctors! Ha! One can judge the diploma by how many minutes it takes for them to send out stationary as "Dr. Larry Leeryson," even before the precious diploma dries. The "rings of power" have infected many seminaries that long to produce doctors. They may be little DMins (which sound like "demons"), and they all look toward Fuller Seminary as Holy Mother Evangelism, though they are limited to toxic ideas from that fetid stream.

By now, all the Protestant denominations, Rome, and others - thus -

The Unique Metric Is Not Found Anywhere - Except the KJV Bible.
Listen to the Hissing, Spitting, And Groaning Expelled from the New Papacy -
RSV, NIV, ESV, NRSV, Beck, Living and Amplified Toxins.

Metrics are king - or rather queen - in the denominations, the driving and dying force in all the denominations. ELCA strives to be even worse than before, and the Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) are nothing more than lint on Velcro. Waltherians stick closely to ELCA because they are on the same winding path downward.

One ELCA genius keeps track of bishops who happen to be women - but this male bishop does not address the gay/lesbian metric, which has its own cheering section:

Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries - Queer Seminarians & Rostered Leaders in the Lutheran Church.

Yet he - Bishop Michael Rinehart - fails to offer the metrics for the consecrated and consecrating rainbow herd of prelates. They are ashamed to tell the truth, or at least to the millions who suffer the apostasy and donate money for support.

WELS warned against the new snip and clip Bibles, offering this graphic above, never minding their own precious NIV monstrosities, backed by their District Popes. The latest NIV included double justification in Romans 3, though the "all are justified" in not in the Greek. There are two major themes in WELS - cross-dressing and lying, both products of the hazing culture

All the denominations rushed downward after WWII, making fun of the KJV but not telling the truth about their new, semi-shredded translations. The Waltherians were just as bad as the LCA-ALC, just as phony as their Christian News Beck Bibles, which followed the same template as the shredded apostate Bible.

I could stop here, because the case is closed. The barn doors are open and locked in that position, thanks to greed, skirt-chasing millionaires, and Thrivent (in descending order).

Larry's WELS buddy insisted (in Otten's Christian News) that the misled boy never went to Fuller Seminary, though Larry did finish a D.Min. in Church Growth there.

This is how the deliberate Biblical errors are infecting all aspects of congregations:

Fuller Seminary evangelism was led by Donald McGavran, a Disciples of Christ pro-abortion sociologist (grand slam for baseball fans), greatly influencing LCMS, WELS, and ELCA. It nothing more than expensive baloney, marked by devastating losses of their membership.

Fuller kicked out their earlier, feeble inerrancy pledge and shouted at everyone that their weak inerrancy was holding them back from being really significant (unrestrained). Fuller Seminary was glad to re-invent the feminist Bible and disciplined any student or DP who questioned the feminist pastors they were developing.

You know a successful church when the service is followed by an expensive food court. One summary of the Hybels scandal suggested that they had a squadron of like-minded ministers. They were no different from denominational and synodical staff.

WELS and other fools paid big money to Bill Hybels' Willow Creek (cross-free) Church. I was there but not on a scholarship from the Milwaukee hypocrites. After 40 years of adultery, Hybels resigned from all his affiliations, copyrights, and trophies for being a really cool pastor. He is worth is $35 million. Others have taken over his Willow Creek.

Hybels was chasing female staff around the desk while insisting that he had to have feminist Bibles in churches. He started a club for denominational fools, and that seems to be a source of loot too. I know of WELS and LCMS congregations that also affiliated with Willow Creek.

Hybels is a perfect example of Look How Successful I Am!

Fuller will soon be so loose that they will serve Bud Light on tap, and many seminaries will follow. Notre Dame served beer on tap for their seminary students.

WELS has boasted about having "Bible studies" at bars, and doubtless shares that gimmick with LCMS.

If All Else Fails, Try Common Sense

Oh No! The Faithians can be found at Concordia Publishing House, cash cow of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

I am the consultant for the Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) - no fees since they have buried as many widows' estates as they can. Even then, I have no craving for their loot, since we run in the black and need no expensive campaigns and salesmen. Desperate attempts to use AI have failed to discover clever slogans to escape their upcoming financial meltdown. They imagine they know "all about the numbers."

Bulk discounts!

The Big Five are grouped together because of their wrong-headed attitudes. For instance, they are so threatened about their membership that they come across as elitist, nasty, smug, and bigoted. One must fit in - under their microscopes - to stay. The trouble is - they have no faith in Jesus Christ and must add something to replace John 16:8-9.

KJV John 16:8 And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on Me;

Luther condensed that even more succinctly with "faith equals righteousness." The Big Five  rejects the "faithians" - claiming their own themes, shouting in anger - "You are making faith a work of man!"

ELCA only deals in grace - no faith - amazing! They are purifying themselves by quashing the few remaining Faithians and glorifying their alternative clergy. One ALPB  Ovaltine - an ELCA pastor with 10,000 posts on their discussion page - was arrested and placed in the slammer. Nobody noticed. Anyone denouncing this would be considered insensitive.

The Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) - should be united in their cranial confusion, but they fear the intermingling of DNA - bragging about their ancestors. They keep flogging the pristine nature of CFW Walther's Complete Works, which are all about him.

Walther's clergy circle knew all about Bishop Martin Stephan's adultery, since his #1 mistress sailed with Ferdie to America in the leader's cabin, near Walther's oldest son. Stephan's wife and remaining children were left in Germany.

This has to be the most humorous or sardonic book of the Great Walther.

Citations - June 11 Lecture on the Errors of Objective Justification.
The Video Is Near the Bottom of This Post.

Dr. Robert Preus' Justification and Rome repudiates Objective Justification, but the Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) - will not admit it.

Herman Otten wrote and published his book on Walter Maier. On this book's back cover, the Harvard PhD in Semitics was quoted in the clearest words about Justification by Faith. The current  CN editor is a crybaby sycophant who lives on Objective Justification.

Robert Preus copied this nonsense into his 1987 essay, 10 years earlier than Justification and Rome, 1997.

Jack Cascione and Paul McCain quoted this passage to their followers to prove that Robert Preus really did teach Objective Justification. The Preuss booklet is really absurd, even worse than the above quote in the graphic. I exposed Edward Preuss in Thy Strong Word in 2000, with editions following.

I have the quotation from an ELS book where Walther wrote universal absolution about 1800 years years ago (for him). I expect to have that detailed by tomorrow.

The Stephan book should be read and studied. Preus' Festshrift contains the statement about Walther getting the letter from Stephan.

Romans 5:1-2. Faith in Jesus gives us access to God's grace.

Romans 4 Abraham is the example of Justification by Faith.

In 1996, Pastor X named August Suelflow as the source – that Stephan had syphilis. My researcher wrote this,

It [Stephan’s syphilis] was common knowledge among pastors around St. Louis and those involved in the Concordia Historical Institute, and of course down in the settlement south of St. Louis made famous by the book Zion on the Mississippi. However, there's nothing in print, all word of mouth, so he and a small group confronted Sueflow about it. Sueflow confirmed it, saying there were historical documents in CHI that never sees the light of day and is in a secure location of CHI.[1]

Not surprisingly, dogmatics textbooks flourished in the period where Calvinist scholastics were attacking the Lutherans, who were then pulled into the same kind of scholastic games using Latin terms to categorize doctrine.

Schleiermacher exploited the subjective slant of Zwingli and Calvin, so theologians emerged who would argue not for Biblical doctrine or their denomination’s doctrine, but for “my theology.” Look at the influence of Pietism and the Easter absolution of the world. A short history of this distortion and false proclamation follows:

1.    Samuel Huber (1547-1624) was a former Calvinist who joined the faculty of Wittenberg University, but turned against the Biblical doctrine of the Reformation to claim this should be said to someone who has no knowledge of Christ:

“You have the grace of God, you have the righteousness of Christ, you have salvation.” Concilia Theologica Witenbergensia, 1664, p. 654.[1]

2.    J. J. Rambach (1693-1795) was a well-known, prominent figure in Halle, at the height of Pietism. He wrote:

“In His Person, all mankind was justified and absolved from all sin and curse.” Tom Hardt, Robert Preus Festschrift, “Easter and Absolution.”

[1] This is roughly what Rev. Wayne Mueller said to the Columbus WELS Youth Rally, showing them how easy evangelism is. Pastor Paul Rydecki (formerly WELS) has translated Hunnius, who with P. Leyser, refuted Huber’s early form of Objective Justification, which explains its Calvinist DNA from Huber. Calvinism also entered the Lutheran Church through the unionistic style of Spener and the Pietism that grew from his efforts.

1.    Schleiermacher’s Christian Dogmatics - “According to Schleiermacher, the decree of redemption already means that human beings are agreeable to God in his Son; an individual act of justification in time is not first needed in each individual person. It is only necessary that each individual person become aware that in God’s decree of redemption in Christ he is already justified and made agreeable to God.”

Hoenecke, Dogmatics, III, p. 339.

2.   C.F.W. Walther - "For God has already forgiven you your sins 1800 years ago when He in Christ absolved all men by raising Him after He first had gone into bitter death for them. Only one thing remains on your part so that you also possess the gift. This one thing is--faith. And this brings me to the second part of today's Easter message, in which I now would show you that every man who wants to be saved must accept by faith the general absolution, pronounced 1800 years ago, as an absolution spoken individually to him."

The Word of His Grace, Sermon Selections, "Christ's Resurrection--The World's Absolution" Lake Mills: Graphic Publishing Company, 1978 p. 233. Brosamen, p. 138. Mark 16:1-8.

3.    Barth and Kirschbaum’s Church Dogmatics, IV, 1, p. 638

“There is not one for whose sin and death he did not die, whose sin and death he did not remove and obliterate on the cross...There is not one who is not adequately and perfectly and finally justified in Him. There is not one whose sin is not forgiven sin in Him, whose death is not a death which has been put to death in Him...There is not one for whom he has not done everything in His death and received everything in His resurrection from the dead.” Barth, Church Dogmatics, IV, 1, 638

4.    Pieper’s Christian Dogmatics, II, Concordia Publishing House, 1951, p. 321.

"Now, then, if the Father raised Christ from the dead, He, by this glorious resurrection act, declared that the sins of the whole world are fully expiated, or atoned for, and that all mankind is now regarded as righteous before His divine tribunal. This gracious reconciliation and justification is clearly taught in Romans 4:25: 'Who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification.' The term dikaiosis here means the act of divine justification executed through God's act of raising Christ from the dead, and it is for this reason called the objective justification of all mankind. This truth Dr. Walther stressed anew in America. He taught that the resurrection of Christ from the dead is the actual absolution pronounced upon all sinners. (Evangelienpostille, p. 160ff.)…

5.    LCA Professor Carl Braaten, who felt ELCA was too radical for him –

“We cannot hold a universalism of the unitarian kind. People are not too good to be damned. There is no necessity for God to save everybody nor to reject anyone. God is not bound by anything outside of himself. He is not bound to give the devil his due. If we take into account God's love, he would have all to be saved. If we reckon with his freedom, he has the power to save whomsoever he pleases. This does not lead to a dogmatic universalism. But it does mean that we leave open the possibility that within the power of God's freedom and love, all people may indeed be saved in the end. This follows as a possibility from the fact that God is free from all external factors in making up his mind.”

Evangelicals Need To Stop Sniffing Their Airplane Glue.
They May Be Worse Than Anyone Imagined

https://churchleaders.com/news/460720-andy-stanley-tells-unconditional-conference-that-rosaria-butterfield-and-christopher-yuan-have-nothing-helpful-to-say-to-parents-of-lgbtq-kids.html

ChurchLeaders obtained unpublished audio of a Q&A session featuring North Point Community Church pastor Andy Stanley and licensed counselor and ordained pastor Debbie Causey at the controversial Unconditional Conference hosted at North Point last month.

Causey is North Point Community Church’s Director of Care. Her responsibilities include the overseeing church’s Parent Connect ministry, which facilitates “groups and events for parents of LGBTQ+ children.” She is also a mother whose youngest son, according to her website, “came out in high school” and has been “on a journey to discover what God has to say about the topic of homosexuality and gender identity issues and the LGBTQ+ community for the past decade.”

Causey’s website describes her ministry as one that is “for parents of LGBTQ+ children who are desperate to learn how to love their children well and discover God’s purposes for them on this journey.”

Poison Ivey? Evangelicals are leading the movement to homogenize everything except Biblical doctrine. Lawyering up, Ivey discovered that she was a victim, yes a victim. Parachurch movements seem to be more corrupt than their denominational counterparts, or perhaps lacking the layers of insulation to protect the staff from the facts. WELS has two (2) murders and plenty of outrageous scandals, but anyone mentioning even one item is "breaking the 8the commandment."

https://protestia.com/2024/06/06/orange-investigates-claims-of-clergy-sexual-abuse-after-ceo-flip-flops-on-her-guilt-and-culpability-in-workplace-affair/

"Prominent youth group curriculum provider Orange has hired a third-party law firm to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct and “clergy sexual abuse” between its founder Reggie Joiner and CEO Kristen Ivey after Ivey, who was having an extended adulterous affair with Joiner, suddenly
decided to retract her confession of having had an “inappropriate relationship” and instead insist it was actually an abusive relationship that she could not possibly consent to, and as a result was a victim of his manipulations and machinations.

According to an email obtained by The Roys Report, Interim Orange president Mikael Clear told staffers that the board selected  Castañeda + Heidelman to conduct a “thorough, objective, trauma-informed, forensic investigation” of “the situation” between Joiner and Ivey, encouraging members to participate fully with the investigation, which is expected to last several months.

Two months ago, Joiner resigned from his role at Orange after confessing he’s been having an affair with CEO Kristen Ivy, the president and CEO of Orange, who also resigned. While Ivy initially characterized the adulterous affair to the Orange board as an “inappropriate relationship,” an email from Ivy to board members walked back those claims, saying she was, in fact, a victim of clergy sexual misconduct that she could not meaningfully consent to, and as a result should not “shoulder the burden of responsibility.”

Ivy explained that during the original interview with the board after they first learned of her actions, she was “prepared to protect Reggie at all cost because I was laboring under years of the belief that protecting Reggie was the only way to protect Orange” and that I chose the words “inappropriate relationship” when characterizing what I believed needed to be disclosed. My intent at the time was to maintain a humble posture and shoulder the burden of responsibility.”

After seeking professional counsel and speaking to “experts in abuse,” she has come to realize that “I now realize I am experiencing a high level activated trauma – not just from the past weeks, but also compounded trauma from many years of emotional and psychological abuse.”

“Part of that realization has been to recognize that in my disclosure to Orange, I was still living within the mental frameworks I had been coerced to believe which led me to request an inappropriate level of responsibility for this situation.”

Ivy said that because of the power dynamics at play, including the 20-year age difference between them, Joiner’s refusal to accept her resignation, and the potential loss of income if she came forward, she was a victim in all this who could not give meaningful consent to their sexual activity:

I believe you were able to see – even before I was able to name it – that the nature of the relationship between Reggie and myself was not truly capable of having meaningful consent. What I said was true, that the relationship between Reggie and myself was inappropriate, but I am now aware that this is not the best framing for understanding the nature of what took place. The truth is that Reggie has repeatedly abused his power and used it to gain access to vulnerable, often very young women, slowly crossing boundaries, isolating them, and eventually coercing them into agreeing to the abuse.

The very nature of these relationships is to confuse a victim into believing what is happening is consensual, and it can take years of separation from the abuser for the victim to recognize the abuse. I have been separated from Reggie for less than a week, but I am aware that these patterns are abusive and not consensual."

Thirty Minutes with Melanchthon

Our leaders in Scriptural studies, the key Reformation teachers, are:
Luther,
Melanchthon, and
Chemnitz.
YouTube

Clyde Manshreck, one of Roland Bainton's students at Yale, wrote an excellent book, Melanchthon, The Quiet Reformer. I first became interested in Melanchthon at Augustana (Augsburg Confession) College.

1. Melanchthon and Luther lived to be 63 years old. Melanchthon (1497-1560). Luther (1483-1546).

2. They had opposite personalities and both were language geniuses. They greatly admired each other and also had their conflicts. Philip gave the sermon at Luther's funeral.

3. The Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) - like to brag about being Confessionals, and Orthodox. However, they despise the Augsburg Confession, which is the standard across the world. Their so-called Orthodoxy is largely from Pietism and Calvinism.

4. One clear statement of doctrinal agreement on Justification is found in the graphic above.

5. Melanchthon was denied a priceless library from his great-uncle John Reuchlin when he sided with the Reformation. Reuchlin, like Erasmus, supported the Reformation a bit but returned to the Roman Catholics.

6. Melanchthon had far more students than Luther because of their age difference. Philip was greatly admired across Europe and could have accepted an appointment as the greatest scholar in any kingdom.

7. Philip's contributions to the Book of Concord, 1580, were:
  • The Augsburg Confession, 1530 - with notes from Luther at a safe castle.
  • The Apology (Defense) of the Augsburg Confession.
  • Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope
Martin Chemnitz edited the Book of Concord, widely admired, seldom studied or taught. He learned from Luther and Melanchthon and enjoyed the combination of polemics (Luther), humor (Luther and Melanchthon), and an enormous knowledge of theological literature.

Missouri Follows ELCA! - The Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) -
Follow Harrison!

The Missouri Synod is comprised of followers, not leaders. The clergy learned more from Fuller Seminary graduate programs than they did from their two, feeble seminaries. Ditto WELS, ELS, CLC - and they all bragged about it from their neo-Calvinist pulpits. But face it - the LCMS continues to worship CFW Walther, who was a greater scoundrel than his Bishop Martin Stephan, because Walther signed on Stephan's bishop promotion, knew of the bishop's adultery long before staging a riot, and stole Stephan's gold, books, and property - for the glory of God, of course.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was a manufactured fad from the 1960s, but it was forced upon higher education only a few years ago. It seems as if many institutions were lying in wait for more to join the happy throng.

Unlike many other destructive ideas for the masses, DEI soon created a backlash against its destructive agenda. Decades ago, Fuller Seminary stated in its catalog that anyone who questioned women's ordination would get a visit from their Church Growth secret police. Perhaps the futurist revolutionaries will back down before everything is destroyed. ELCA is doing its worst, and Missouri will continue to serve as the Judas Goat, leading everyone else to the slaughter house.

Judas Goat -

a person who betrays followers or dependents, often unwittingly as the tool of an enemy:

Some say the leader of the union is a Judas goat, far too cozy with management and making too many compromises.

Missouri Synod - One-Stop Shopping for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion

Rachel Furgeson is the ninth "conservative Lutheran" with a Jesuit PhD, from St. Louis University.

"A small group of faculty and staff members at Concordia University Chicago (CUC), River Forest, Ill., recently field-tested a new CUC curriculum titled Unity and Civility in a Diverse Community. The group, which numbered about 10, worked through the curriculum together, led by CUC Professor of Music Dr. Maurice Boyer. The curriculum was created by a committee chaired by Dr. Rachel Ferguson, director of CUC’s Free Enterprise Center and assistant dean of the CUC College of Business.

Ferguson, who has also been instrumental in developing the curriculum, said its purpose is “to provide a biblically grounded approach to many of the questions that other institutions of higher education are answering with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion content."

quote:

The curriculum was created by a committee chaired by Dr. Rachel Ferguson, [co-author of Black Liberation Through the Marketplace: Hope, Heartbreak, and the Promise of America]...

Some of the topics covered in the course include...

The blessing of diversity and how that, too, flows from the Creator;

How people navigate issues of power and authority as they serve in the roles into which God has placed them...

The View from the Masthead - The Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic).
The Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic)

Standing on the masthead, in Moby Dick, was essential for spotting whales.

I missed out on joining the Lutheran Church in America, which began its toxic unification effort with the American Lutheran Church and the Seminex faction. The Michigan Synod of the LCA hosted numerous events for its pastors, leaving behind precious memories.

One event included about 10 pastors and a synod staff member who had been a company executive.

Everyone was offering a some opinions, so I said, "The Michigan Synod is funded and organized for its own destruction." Everyone went silent at once, then one pastor asked the staffer timidly, "Is Greg correct?"

The staffer said, "Greg is correct."

My bags were already getting packed to leave the LCA. One pastor was from Gay, Michigan, so I told him what I could do to help him get a position in ELCA, which was being 100% quota (aka DEI) organized. "I can write you in as a Gay pastor from Michigan." Normally jolly, he said, "Don't you dare!" He was serious, and I was not.

The merger, which they hastened to call A New Church, began its meltdown immediately. I followed the Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) from that time onward, because I left before the merger and dared to quote the Braaten-Jenson Dogmatics from the pulpit, as a warning unheeded, clearly irritating some members.

From the masthead, the Big Five were living from the riches of Thrivent Insurance, another merger (AAL, Lutheran Brotherhood) that began its way downward from its association with the Big Five. To be fair, they were working together and dying together.

The three LCA churches I served no longer exist. Christina's home church in South Bend, Indiana, moved away from their location and are now selling the brick house offered for sale.

Some may ask, as in their wont, about the Big Five and separately the Walther Four.

The Big Five are all together, no matter how much they strut and preen, as peacocks do. They are too dishonest to admit they teach a weak and conflicted brand of Universalism. God is so gracious that He has forgiven everyone. "Hell is filled with guilt-free saints," although ELCA denies Hell, too. But they all have so much in common that they can work, study, and become bankrupt together.

The Walther Four try to gloat that they are special, unique, far too pure to associate openly with the others, but they feel the darkness.

This is one of many mastheads designed by Norma Boeckler, the term used by journalists long ago.

The Rush Limbaugh essay below should be read annually.

Essential Information For Understanding Why Trump’s Appeal Will Succeed

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/06/essential_information_for_understanding_why_trump_s_appeal_will_succeed.html

This article explains why the New York case should be reversed a dozen different ways. Please read it for details.

Crucial differences should remind us why the United States were formed as a Constitutional Republic, with many checks and balances to avoid the traps of royal authority.

The jury system has slowly evolved to protect people from the abuse of law, the very thing emphasized by the constant attacks on Trump, when quashed, rose up to be repeated mostly by media numbskulls but also by those who thought glory would come from their echo chamber.

When errors are made by the judge and prosecutor in a trial, the case can go to appeals court, the ultimate being the US Supreme Court. An error or errors can overturn a verdict, which is 100% certain in my perspective. Some hints came up before the trial was over. Judge Merchan and the prosecutor both showed their willingness to go against the Constitution, which makes them completely wrong in many different categories.

Denominations work the same way, which is why I compare them to criminal operations - which they are - beholding to no one. That may explain why members of every Holy Mother Sect ae leaving - whether the flock are bored, scandalized, or disgusted. The managers (aka leader) cover up murders and slander anyone who brings up the truth in a variety of circumstances.

WELS and Missouri are just as gay as ELCA, which may explain why the drainage from ELCA never seems to help the Walther Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) from dying.
