Boredom Mounts as the WELS Convention Approaches

from the prison cell, for child porn and re-offending.
Mark Schroeder assured him and everyone else that Joel was forgiven.

The WELS convention is expected to re-anoint Mark Schroeder as the embodiment of the Holy Spirit on earth, blessing the agenda of the Jeske-Patterson Crime Family. Schroeder has total control of the sect now, which means Jeske has a free ride to do whatever he wants.

 How did WELS lose $300,000 from one pastor?
Answer - they lost $8 million or so from the chapel fund, MLC.

Some notable achievements of Schroeder, who joins a long line of incompetent non-leaders of WELS:

• After spending $250,000 on financial control software, Schroeder lost $300,000 to Piepenbrink's embezzlement. 
• Various church workers have been arrested, the latest being Dave Bendix from St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Ulm. As Fred Adrian famously said, after losing a lawsuit over another felon, "Don't worry. We have insurance to cover the $400,000 settlement awarded by the court."
• WELS managed to steal the congregational property and endowment of Historic St. John in Milwaukee, using a pricey law firm. Jeske pals were crucial in handling this WELS application of Walther's Pastoral Theology. Current pastor. This is the same parish and pastor WELS kicked out. Matt the Heretic Impaler did the same thing for the LCMS, openly approving the theft of Minnesota campus church.
• Mark and Avoid Jeske routinely runs his Change or Die conferences with ELCA female clergy leading, along with Church and Changers.
• WELS Pastor Dave Wendt offered to gang rape a young liberal woman because she posted things he did not like. Mark Jeske did a little spin blog post to whitewash it as much as possible. Threatening bodily harm is a felony, but Wendt skated.
• Schroeder was first elected in 2007 as an anti-Church Growth reformer. Ski and Glende have enjoyed 8 years of absolution for all their antics, including suing the female victim of their abuse in court. Schroeder intervened personally and Ski got an insta-call to Texas from Kudu Don Patterson, without the district approving his shift from unemployed non-pastor to CRM status. Magic Mark is a good nickname for the Synod President.
• Fellow reformer DP Jon Buchholz has been at war, making the sect safe for UOJ, teaming up with Jay Webber, another insecure and poorly educated MDiv. Proving all UOJists are liars, Buchholz promised to discuss the issue of justification by faith with the Rydecki congregation, but kicked the pastor and congregation out instead, attempting to foreclose on the property and steal it. The same duo showed up to a miserably small audience to bore the Emmaus Conference, 2015, with their fatuous nonsense.
• Under Schroeder's non-leadership, WELS is even gayer than lavender hose, with so many examples that I am only going to link the cross-dressing, gay videos, and trans-gender links.
• Scott Barefoot has become the most traveled speaker in WELS, complaining that WELS District Presidents and Synodical Council members have gay children but will not openly address the issue.
• Four years ago, the New NIV was actually debated, with Tom Jeske mugging and grinning. Only one DP, now replaced by Don Patterson, objected, but overall feelings were quite negative and the Mequon prez scowled at those who affronted the majesty of his office. Now the New NIV is official at Northworst Publishing House and the prospective hymnal.

There is apparently enough server capacity on earth to preserve every word and picture that ever went into cyberspace. Good news for researchers and history nerds. Bad news if you assumed that you have any kind of “personal privacy” once you post or send something. A Lutheran pastor in Wisconsin just lost his job because the screen name, behind which he hid as he crudely and obscenely tried to flame somebody with whom he disagreed, turned out to be porous. He was outed, and then he was out of a job...

Mark Jeske's spin-machine portrays him as smart, but I have never seen evidence of it. A small-time Robert Schuller, a would-be Joel Osteen, he repeats the bromides of the success gurus. 

This Jeske post is a crude attempt to put the WELS Pastor Dave Wendt scandal  to rest by publishing a series of excuses and falsehoods.

This link contains the actual message Dave Wendt sent to blogger Claire Van Fossen. 

Wendt denied sending the message, but it came from his account, he admitted. Is he trying to blame a family member, a pet, the NSA?

Oddly, Jeske tells the truth by saying Wendt sent the email.

Let's Parse the Post

1. Jeske omitted the fact that Wendt is a WELS pastor, who immediately resigned. Why resign while denying sending it?
2. Wendt "tried to flame" Claire Van Fossen. Is that not strange, coming from a sect where the slightest imagined insult is portrayed as slander and an apology and retraction is demanded? Wendt used a series of vulgar terms, not unlike the language Ski and Glende (both Jeske veterans) used in front of women. That is not "trying to flame," as Jeske must know in his hip coolness. Flaming is an online argument with personal insults. Wendt's email went far beyond that.
3. Worst of all, Wendt called the blogger "hot" and threatened to bring friends over to gang rape her.
4. So Jeske has this down as "trying to flame" while omitting the crime of threatening to gang-rape the young woman with his friends. One mobster was put in prison simply for making a threat to an  FBI agent.
5. "He was outed and then he was out of a job." Not exactly, hipster guru Jeske. The young woman investigated who sent the email, and her associates discovered it was Pastor Dave Wendt, staff member at a $1 million a year budget WELS congregation in LaCrosse.
6. I have been reading the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, LaCrosse website and the WELS website. I have not seen an admission of the crime committed, not a word of remorse, regret, or apology.
   

WELS Attitude Toward Women

I have no contact with the blogger, but I hope she soon finds out this is normal behavior for WELS clergy and leaders. Claire can find out how Ski behaved and how SP Mark Schroeder, DP Doug Engelbrecht, and the future DP Zank protected Ski. Did anyone apologize to the lady staffer? Why did the previous staffer quite suddenly while working with Ski?

Claire can easily discover that Ski and Glende sued the husband of Ski's victim for telling the truth, as Glende had to admit in court. DP Patterson gave Ski an insta-call to Texas, and Ski escaped his own follies once again.

WELS clergy are notorious for their alcoholism and adultery.

When they are in training, they have "score reports," where the manly men get together and brag about how far they have gone with their current girlfriends. In other words, they humiliate their potential brides in front of their fellow students. When one wife complained about this, her husband howled with laughter.

WELS does not admit anything and expects everyone will soon forget:

• Pastor William Tabor's wife murdered in the parsonage.
• Teacher Al Just's wife stabbed to death in her bed.
• District President Ed Werner sent to state prison for molesting young girls in his congregation, sent there by the girls' mothers who were previously molested and said "No more!"

 

Normally, married men post photos with their wives on Facebook.
Glende and Ski were thrilled to be  with Katy Perry for a moment,
and kept these photos up for a long time.

Wendt revealed the WELS pastoral attitude toward this blogger,
Claire Van Fossen, when he sent a violent, vulgar, obscene threat
to gang rape her.

GJ - That was WELS Pastor Dave Wendt, who threatened to gang rape a blogger. Missing from Jeske's tearful lamentation is the series of vulgar, obscene words Pastor Wendt called her, not to mention the criminal threat.

Why is Wendt not under arrest? Why did he not turn over his computer to the police?

I Cannot Believe Dave Wendt Is a Pastor - Comment from a Reader

Dave Wendt's apparently drunken tantrum is nothing new -
but the object of his wrath, Claire Van Fosse, turned it into news.
Now Wendt is portrayed as the typical white NRA guy.

Last night the Left was already feeding on the drunken, obscene rant that Dave Wendt sent to the activist blogger above.

Everything  about this scandal is typical of WELS and the ELS:

• Wendt admitted that it was his email account, but he denied writing the offer to gang-rape the young lady. Was he blaming family members for the email? Lacking the password, no one else can use his email. When will he give his computer to the police?
• His affluent congregation immediately erased Wendt from the web pages, photo and all - scrubbed, except he lives on in the newsletters. No apology - just erasing, erasing, erasing. It's still "Maundry Thursday" on the front page, so that tells us what matters at that parish, in that sect.
• His rather sparse Facebook page supported the nature of the attack, since the blogger questioned the behavior of police and he supported the police. No apology.
• His fury was directed at a stranger who disagreed with his position, but he expressed that with threats of violence, sarcasm, and obscene insults. How persuasive!
• Will Mark Schroeder apologize or just pretend it never happened.

WELS/ELS clergy quickly pop a fuse when someone dares to express a different opinion. Once I said at a WELS meeting that problems were finessed rather than addressed. 

1. DP Mueller turned around and started ranting at me. 
2. Other public tantrums came from Paul Kuske, Roger Kovaciny, Wally Oelhafen, and Fred Adrian. 
3. More rants came in the mail, from Joel Gerlach, Paul Kelm, Norm Berg, and naturally Roger Kovaciny. 
4. One WELS "friend" phoned me to say how glad he was that I was no longer in WELS.
5. Besides some other "friend" blowups, some ELS and WELS pastors phoned to rave at me for telling the truth, trying to deny the obvious. One asked where I got the information. When I said "From WELS pastors and laity," he screamed and slammed down the phone.
6. A Fox Valley pastor sent an anonymous email filled with every obscene term he could list. When I mentioned it on this blog, he sent an anonymous apology, claiming it was "an accident."

Those are just a few examples. Everyone knows how truth-tellers in WELS/ELS are beaten like rented mules and left to rot on a deserted country road. How many WELS blogs have been stopped and erased? I lost count. The latest is Shattered Pulpit - no files.

Alcohol definitely contributes to their problems with controlling rage. WELS/ELS clergy are very insecure and used to bullying others. "A man convinced against his will remains unconverted still."

But in an abusive cult situation, silencing and shunning are quite useful.

Alcoholism decreased the ability to cope with life's pressures and disappointments. Drunks are unable to see how ridiculous their behavior is and they are unwilling to apologize later. 

In a cult run by alcoholics, a good excuse is "I was so drunk, I didn't realize..." The alcoholic leaders can identify with that. How else does one explain Ski and Glende's drunken bar ministry, their behavior, and their rock star treatment by WELS?

Do WELS clergy objectify and abuse women? Ski drove a female staffer to resign with his infantile and drunken behavior, but she was supposed to tell everyone "No problems," just as Bishop Katie did a few months before.

When WELS kept supporting and lying for Ski, the victim's husband was sued in court by Glende, Ski, and two staffers for telling the truth.

A Lutheran pastor in Wisconsin reportedly resigned Tuesday after an email threatening to gang-rape an anti-police blogger was linked to his personal account.

The Rev. David Wendt of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse submitted his resignation to the church council, a day after blogger Claire Van Fossen posted the email on social media, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Lee Hitter, a spokesman for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, said Mr. Wendt told synod President Mark Schroeder that he didn’t send the threatening email but admitted the email address the message was sent from did belong to him, the Journal Sentinel reported.

Mr. Hitter said the reverend asked the Onalaska Police Department’s cyber crimes unit to investigate, the newspaper said.

Ms. Van Fossen, a liberal Milwaukee blogger, said she received a wave of threatening emails following a blog post on JSOnline that claimed police departments do “more harm than good.”

Wendt is gone from the main websty but still in the posted newsletters.

Annual income at First Lutheran? One million dollars.

One particular email, sent to Ms. Van Fossen from a Dave Wendt on March 27, called her “the dumbest [expletive] liberal [expletive] I’ve heard yet,” the Journal Sentinel reported.

“Get off the drugs, [expletive], and go check yourself into rehab,” the email continues. “Or better yet, you’re pretty hot. So how about if I come over and rape you with a few of my friends. WHEW! At least I won’t have to worry about you calling the police.”

Ms. Van Fossen traced the Internet Protocol address to La Crosse and posted the email on Facebook, the Journal Sentinel reported.

Police Chief Jeff Trotnic said Mr. Wendt called the department Monday and was invited to bring in his computer for analysis.

“As of right now, we’re treating this as ‘no report on file,’” Chief Trotnic said. “It doesn’t mean anything just because he has not brought it in.”
