This week we are setting up our All Hallows Eve Labyrinth, to which we invite the community. I've been processing a deer carcass this afternoon so we have some bones for one of our displays. When our members went to the meat processing plant to get the deer bones, one of the workers asked, "What kind of church is this?"

This year our theme is The Final Judgement. All our displays will relate to things Jesus lists in Matthew 24. This is our third year hosting the event. Looks like we may have rain, as we did last year. It didn't seem to affect attendance too much last year so we hoping for another good year.

I wonder what others are doing for All Hallows this year and youth ministry.

"When I tell people I follow a Minoan spiritual path, one of the first things they ask about is the labyrinth. Often, all they know about the labyrinth is what they've heard from the Theseus-and-the-Minotaur story. The thing is, the Greeks invented Theseus as a culture hero centuries after Minoan civilization had ceased to exist, so the Minoans never even knew about him. In Theseus' tale, the labyrinth is a deadly maze full of confusing twists and turns, impossible to escape with the help of Ariadne's thread. In reality, the labyrinth is very different from that.

If you have a look at the labyrinth design at the top of this post, you'll see that it has a single path that leads unerringly to the center. Sure, there are twists and turns. These are designed to disorient the person walking the labyrinth so they can enter altered states of consciousness and reach their own inner spiritual understanding. But there's only one way in and the same way back out. This is called a unicursal (one-route) maze. And it's not a tricky trap. It's a spiritual tool."

Mobbing Is Another Word for Unbelieving Synod Officials with Dollar Signs in Their Eyes

The original MOBBING article is still getting attention on the Net. I was amused by the ALPB.org liberals in a state of denial about their methods, especially heresiarch David Benke, retired DP, DP, ex-DP, DP - LCMS.

Enabler Hall of Fame: WELS headquarters, DP Robert Mueller, VP Kuske, and the Michigan District pastors, George Orvick, John Shep, Jay Webber, and Roger Kovaciny.

I wrote a follow-up post on MOBBING, too. Few people realize the source of mobbing - the unbelieving officials - Synod Presidents, District Presidents, Circuit Pastors, and Bishops who meddle with congregations to protect the guilty and expel the faithful. Seminary faculties get involved too.

Never overlook the networks: Church Growth, women's ordination, lavender, and worse. They look out for each other and overlap in their agendas.

The system works because evil and incompetence are rewarded, and the absolved but unrepentant clergy become extra loyal and obedient to their organizations. If a pastor is involved in adultery in the course of counseling a troubled wife, he is promoted from the parish to a position as a mission counselor or Planned Giving Tetzel. If the newspapers find out, the only question among the leaders is not "How can we remove this sin?" but "Who told?" and life goes on.

The more someone is aligned to important people, by birth or marriage, the more he is protected from facing consequences. My example is well known:

1. Floyd Luther Stolzenburg was caught in the act, forced to resign, was divorced by his wife, and moved to Columbus, Ohio.
2. Even though Stolzenburg sat in the pew and insulted the circuit pastor during the sermon, whispering his remarks to a relative, Floyd was made the head of a Church Growth cancer "agency" funded by a rich man. Why? 
3. Columbus WELS people did not want the arrogant Stolzenburg doing this work, so even more money was given to have a second divorced pastor, Roger Zehms, share in the destructive work.
4. VP Paul Kuske was behind this - with Robert Mueller - and they always backed these two losers, who said, "We answer to nobody because we were called directly by the Holy Spirit."
5. Once the area was finally purged of Zehms and Stolzenburg, the WELS leaders got Floyd by backing his efforts to run Immanuel, where he still is.
6. Jay Webber and Roger Kovaciny raised money from Floyd Stolesomeburgers and Floyd bragged about his support of them and the ELS. Meanwhile, a large sum of money went missing from the parish funds. The police were invited to investigate, to satisfy the insurance agency. 

So guess what happens to anyone who questions the genius leadership of WELS-ELS? MOBBED.

After WELS stopped propping Stolzenburg up, the ELS took over. Kovaciny, backing Faithless Floyd, sent rants against me on email, so I forwarded them all to George Orvick and WELS officials. Webber had no problem working with Floyd and naming a Ukraine church after Floyd's Masonic parish.

Kovaciny and Cascione - What More Can Anyone Ask?

I used to think that Kovaciny and Jay Webber so richly deserved each other, with a side helping of John Shep. However, Jack Cascione and Roger Kovaciny could tape their own series called Fantasy Island. In that series, one or both of them would spin fanciful tales that boil out of their fevered brains, without any basis in fact.

Pope John the Malefactor insisted to me that Roger Kovaciny was not an ELS minister. I asked, "Then why did I see him installed as a missionary at the ELS convention?" Moldstad repeated his claim. "Then why is he listed in the ELS yearbook?"

Jay Webber's Colleague Roger Kovaciny Reminds Everyone How They All Worked For Floyd Luther Stolzenburg's Masonic CG Church

Roger Kovaciny (ex-WELS, ex-ELS) preached and taught at Stolzenburg's Masonic Church in Columbus, to raise money for Thoughts of Faith: John Shep (now ELCA) and Jay Webber (UOJ Stormtropper, ELS).

So many of your allegations are either outdated or incorrect that the only thing on your blog that I'll bother correcting is that you are an "independent" pastor. You're only "independent" in the sense that four congregations and four synods were glad to see the back of you don't want anything to do with Greg Jackson, ever again. Most of them allowed you to resign because it would have been so much trouble to force you to leave, and nobody thinks you're worth the trouble of blogging about. Virtually everybody would be happy if you'd just go away forever and if they would never see or hear from you again. I hope you don't think I bother reading your blog--somebody just told me I should check this particular article out. If anyone wants to know about your specific allegations, they know how to e-mail me. I'll let you know how many hundred queries I get.

The LCMS DP forced Stolzenburg to resign from his parish (Salem, Black Jack, Mo) - for cause. WELS knew he was ideal to promote the Church Growth Movement and set up an agency with Roger Zehms (also out of a parish and a marriage) for that very purpose.

Jay Webber had the Ukraine Seminary down so low that he was encouraged to leave. Enrollment went up afterwards. Now that's Church Growth. Shep, Webber, Kovaciny and ELS worked together to give Stolzenburg credibility as a "conservative" Lutheran pastor. Isaiah 5:23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away justice from the righteous man!

UOJ is the false doctrine behind Church Growth and mainline apostasy. So Intrepids (sic) You Owe Jaya big thank-you for celebrating Reformation Month with a lengthy, smug, bilious attack on justification by faith.

I'm curious to know if other people notice the thin, nearly translucent, skin of the UOJists and the Holy Mother Synod worshipers? It was a hallmark of these people on Bailing Water, Luther Quest[self sic], here on Ichabod and now again on Intrepid blog, to almost faint if one of their own clergy or theologians were shown to violate Christian doctrine using Scripture and the Confessions. Even if they were questioned on their confessionalism they would bristle. What has happened to these people that they do not seem to have a backbone to hear, discuss or in any way tolerate a person's opinion that does not 'glow' about the Synod or it's theologians. Pastor Rydecki has made it a talking point of concern "The risk of legitimizing the vitriol" Vitriol means, something highly caustic or severe in effect, as criticism. And what's the problem?... Some people and certainly myself have Scriptural and Confessional proof that (W)ELSians are teaching false doctrine. What is wrong with responding harshly to false doctrine and unrepentant false teachers? We get the same vitriol when the Synod worshipers respond in defense of these people and their doctrines. I don't see anyone on the Confessional side crying about this. Just strikes me as interesting and I chalk it up to their perversion of the central doctrine of Justification by faith alone but I'm curious if other people see it and may attribute it to something else.

By the way, the Intrepids and others have identified what they wish to call sloppy writing, sloppy theology, and overall less than ideal confession of doctrine but have any of these people identified as being sloppy ever corrected their sloppiness? Did Buchholz, Becker, Zarling, Webber, Rydecki, Preus, Seiltz, Humann, Rodmyre, Ski, Glende, etc. etc. etc.? None of them have retracted the "sloppy" theology. My point is that it's not sloppy theology. It's precise, exacting and purposeful, they intended to say exactly what was written and confessed. There's nothing sloppy about it. It wouldn't be so consistent if it was and they'd correct it if it was sloppy and inaccurate. Something to think about.

GJ - Jay Webber and Roger Kovaciny were engaged in propping up the Reformed doctrine of Church Growth 15-20 years ago.

I find the self-righteousness of the Neo-Pietists shameful.

The Tepid Lutherans have found the real enemy - not The SORE, not Church and Change - but those who teach justification by faith.

The Conference of Pussycats does not need to shut down the Tepids. The Tepids have already become Rottweilers for Church and Change. I could have tolerated their meandering, poor argumentation except they have chosen to guard Holy Mother Synod instead of the Word of God and the Confessions.

We know from Adam Peeler that they are not Bereans, but they are not Luthers either. Martin Luther taught justification by faith, not UOJ.

Their citation of Syn Conference writing is an excellent smoke screen, so that no one ventures too close to the Word.
