Is This Sermon (Trinity 20) So Opaque That The Big Five -
ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic) Cannot Understand It?

WELS' OmniLutheran Mark Jeske promotes the New Sodom through his insurance funded programs, ELCA, LCMS, etc - the fist of omni-faith.

The wedding feast is an allegory, a story in which certain truths are revealed with everyday comparisons. Luther was a master in teaching the truths of the Bible, so even now German teachers talk about the Reformer establishing the German language through his almost endless printed pages. Other genius writers, like Melanchthon and Chemnitz, added to the power of Luther's vivid sermons.

The problem is just as bad in ELCA's fantasy land as it is in the Waltherian Four - LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic). The depravity of rejecting Justification by Faith is no different from saying the Bride includes everyone on earth (based on some time during the Atonement, the moment of Resurrection, or the Creation). One way or another, the entire world is declared righteous, skipping the Biblical concept of faith and its explicit meaning throughout the Bible and the Reformation.

The Bride in Objective Faithless Justification-land is multiplied endlessly and may even be a man. Likewise, the brides are marrying brides on this Brave New Planet.

The great synodical leaders frauds work together because they desire the gubmint funds for their schools and the harmony of the newest Hollywood truths.

The Social Gospel - Look at Its Foundations

I had a project, to research an Augustana Synod professor and explain his career. He went to Yale Divinity for extra credibility, since he already had an STD - when that was just a seminary degree - Doctor of Sacred Theology. He was A.D. Mattson.

He became enchanted with the Social Gospel Movement, best known through Walter Rauschbusch, who gave his famous lectures at Yale, also his book A Theology for the Social Gospel. Rauschenbusch was a liberal Baptist who already accepted the rationalistic approach to the Scriptures. The liberal element in the Augustana Synod and the mainline denominations were definitely for the Historical-Critical Movement of Biblical analysis.

A litmus test for liberals (or rather - apostates) is asking about Rauschenbusch. The Social Gospel Movement is either the capstone or foundation today.

Lacking in all the mainline denominations today is faith in Jesus Christ. They have lots of social activism, which may prompt people to say, "Are we better than we were before WWII?" Social activism is now 99% of mainline work, including The Big Five - ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC (sic). The smaller synods may deny their affinity with ELCA's agenda, but in some cases they are way ahead, such as the gay obsessions of WELS, cloaked by hazing and "we were just having some fun."

The Church Growth Movement was hatched by Donald McGavran, liberal sociologist, B.D. Yale, PhD Columbia University.

The Social Gospel Movement stopped using its name but continued its Left-wing work. The Church Growth Movement was unionistic and Left-wing, from the start. Fuller Seminary's Thought Police insisted that any pastor objecting to women's ordination would be visited by their feminist Gestapo units.

Do you really think that LCMS-WELS-etc stood up to the feminist bullies or declared, "We are on your side, Rev. Aimee Elizabeth Semple McPherson - The Blessed!?"

The denominations and synods do not have the basics of the Christian Faith. Unfaith cannot produce faith through the efficacious Word. Church Growth has been sold and smeared in everyone's face, and the results are in. Their agenda is hardened concrete.

Do you remember when the rainbow was a sign from God?

Kudzu vine was brought to the USA because it spread so quickly - and alas - smothered everything useful.

It only took a few decades to unleash Smells and Belles and expensive costumes.

Werning spread the Church Growth disease around in all sects - LCMS, WELS, ELS.

Your Abusive Lutheran Sect Preaches Against Faith - WELS, ELCA, LCMS, ELS, CLC - And Against the Bible

 All Time Views9,900,020

The United World Religion Corporation teaches one thing - assuming we are all simpletons who cannot read - Everyone Is Born Forgiven. They have turned the atoning death of Jesus Christ into universal forgiveness, universal grace, universal salvation. While waving their "sola" signs on Reformation Sunday, they are picking your pockets, emptying your purses, and stealing your mother's estate (Irrevocable Charitable Trust, aka, there goes the farm forever).

The only thing they preach with clarity and energy is We Need More Money To Do His Work. But His means - Their Father Below.

The abusive sects - especially the abusive Lutheran sects - teach grace. They sing Amazing Grace all the time, which may explain why everything and everyone is amazing today. How do we get this amazing grace, some wonder. Simple! Everyone has grace, even before grace, called prevenient grace, that grace which comes before grace, like "Your frozen pizza is coming" although it is not there yet and nobody knows where it is.

The Abusive Lutheran Sects, aka Thrivent victims, claim everyone in the world was forgiven

  1. The moment Jesus died on the cross,
  2. The moment Jesus rose from death,
  3. The moment Adam and Eve were forgiven.

That may sound as confusing as it really is, but the key factor in those claims is this - forgiveness without faith = grace = salvation.

Even the greats - Sam Nafzger and David Valleskey and Mirthless Mark Schroeder - agree to the formula handed down by Calvin and Halle University.

Didja know Halle University, founded on Pietism, was the hotbed for moving away from faith in the Scriptures and into pure rationalism? ELCA calls that "Biblical scholarship" and LCMS-WELS-ELS calls it Universal Objective Faithless Justification.

The Real Message of Grace in Romans

The abusive Lutheran sects are hotter than Georgia asphalt for grace, so why not find out how we obtain grace in Romans (the recent site of New NIV apostasy in Romans 3 - all are justified)?

KJV Romans 5:5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

I realize many in the readership do not have a decent Bible, like the KJV. However, most people understand these two verses.

  • Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ gives us peace through forgiveness of sin.
  • This faith gives us access into this grace.

Hardened Hearts - Or Alcoholic Synods - Teach Universal (Faithless) Justification

Believe it or not, these two verses are the crown jewels of Universal Objective (Faithless) Justification!

Those pompous dogma distributors propagate the first five words - "By grace are ye saved" - because they cannot tolerate the next two - "through faith." They are completely hardened and blinded by their five-word motto.

An audio tape (remember them?) captured my attention when an LCA leader, full of wrath, denounced Evangelicals because "they do not teach grace!" Say that out loud with your teeth gritted in wrath and despair. The tape was from the Word and Witness program.

The tone of voice puzzled me as much as the claim. I had to learn the intricacies stupidities of Universal Objective Justification before I understood the blind wrath.

Whether the fetid, brackish stream flows from Calvinism, Pietism, Walther or his handpicked yes-men, the basics are the same:
  1. The entire world has already been saved.
  2. Everyone must agree with #1 or be damned.
  3. Those who call this Universalism are damned.
They define faith as agreeing with #1, so it is a closed system. At Bethany, the seminary taught that the people in Hell are saved but it does not do them any good. That is pretzel preaching.

Everyone who promotes
  • Universal Justification
  • Objective Justification
  • Universal Justification
  • Universal Objective Justification
  • Justification of the World
  • General Justification
is either blinded or completely hardened by the Holy Spirit in the Word. Rationalism is either the mother or the child of Objective (Faithless) Justification. Pietism gave birth to Rationalism at Halle University, and the school was created to teach Biblical knowledge in the Spener tradition but quickly converted into mocking the Scriptures. A little bit of leaven will leaven the entire batch of bread.

The American Lutheran church bodies were all affected by Pietism, but the lying historians of WELS, ELS, and Missouri now claim they always taught Justification properly (as UOJ). Ha! It was a mixed message.

Walther, a Pietistic pimp and felonious riot-maker, worked Stephan's toxic Objective Justification into the sect via his rabid Calvinistic Theses on Grace (double predestination) and through his clever Wisconsin Synod raised Francis Pieper. Once they put Stephan-Walther's OJ into the 1932 Brief Statement, the OJists were able to make that particular convention statement (Scripture by Vote) the Alpha and Omega of all their dogma. It is still solemnly posted on the LCMS website. Those are the same dolts who mocked Luther for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. A little leaven - wait, I said that already.

The phrase "in Christ" actually means faith in Christ, not Justification without Faith. Valleskey canonized Fuller Seminary Church Growth at Mequon, not without help. Paul Calvin Kelm seemed to meddle with all the seminary classes without getting the job.

This simply means that one must accept that God forgave everyone the moment Christ rose from the tomb. Some move that back to Adam and Eve. Scholars are divided.

Emmaus is where Lutherans go to close their eyes and say, "Make Ichabod go away!"

Why Do the WELS-LCMS-ELS-CLC Sects Clamor for the Universalism of ELCA?

Schulz taught at Concordia, Mequon. They seldom mention that - like John Sparky Brenner - his PhD is from a Jesuit university - Marquette. He touts "universal justification" that strange contradiction so much like hot-cold and black-white.

The modern synodical hatred for Luther's Biblical doctrine does not go back to the Reformation, but only to recent times.

One thing is clear - Objective Justification Universalism brings them all together at the same hog wallow.

They are far more unified by Thrivent than by the Lutheran Confessions. The recent WELS hiring of Thrivent Annuity Salesmen (aka Planned Giving Counselors) is proof of their desperation. The salesmen need an insurance license and get commissions, as reported by Father S. S. - who will deny he ever said that.

Something in common - these guys are German too.

They got calls, every one of them. Want to succeed in WELS? Be like them.

Nota bene - the favorite video at the WELS College of Ministry was this plagiarized version of Miley Cyrus' song.

Grumpy But Not Clear Why

Mike Bennett

I did not recognize the acronym UOJ, so I googled it and found nothing helpful. So I googled UOJ theology, and the first entry was a 10-year old blog posting whose first paragraph mentioned “the egocentric synergist Greg Jackson.” I figured I’d found the UOJ I was looking for! 😳

The article not cited is this -

Pastor M.F. Bartling explains the history behind the UOJ controversy at his blog.

Quote:
"What Paul Rydecki (also the egocentric synergist Greg Jackson) is teaching on justification is nothing new to the Lutheran Church and something which Confessional Lutherans have always rejected.

The position that Rydecki is promoting has its origin back in Melanchthon’s teachings on the three causes of conversion — the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the will of man. In the discussions in the 50s between the old American Lutheran Church and the LCMS concerning justification, the ALC wanted to teach that God had secured and provided salvation for all people. This is objective or universal redemption, not objective justification. The LCMS along with the WELS insisted on the words, that God has not only secured and provided salvation for all, but that God has declared the whole world righteous in Christ Jesus. This they called objective Justification. (A term that is preferred over universal justification, which can cause some misunderstandings.) By only saying “secured and provided salvation” the door is open for some cooperation or contributions on the part on man. Good, God has provided it, how do I get it? But by insisting on the term God has DECLARED the whole world righteous, all works or cooperation on man’s part are removed.

The men in the ALC, from the old Ohio Synod, wanted to teach “Erst muss der Mensch glauben, dann wird er gerechtfertigt (first must the man believe, then he becomes justified). This old error taught that first one must believe that Christ died for all, then he will be justified. This puts the cart before the horse, my faith before my justification. Against this old heresy Walther and others maintained the formula – Justificatio non post fidem, sed per fidem (Justification not after faith, but through faith). This is the position of Lutheran Orthodoxy. Today we use the term objective justification to teach this truth. God has declared the whole world righteous in Christ Jesus (God so loved the world, John 3:16; The Lutheran church sings, “Christ thou Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on me.”)

Of course now, the other side, the Holy Spirit working through the means of Grace must now change the hard and disobedient will of man which is dead in sin and an enemy of God. The Holy Spirit moves the will of man to accept and believe this objective justification. This we call subjective justification. The two must go together; — and you can’t have one without the other!!! If one rejects the objective, universal justification, he cannot be saved. He is lost. We do not believe in universalism, everyone is going to heaven.

The Bible connects universal redemption and universal, objective, justification and treats them as the same. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:5-7. Christ died for all. This Rydecki does not reject. But in the same book, a chapter earlier, Paul writes, But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, Romans 4:4-6

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many (i.e., all) were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many (i.e., all) will be made righteous. (Rom 5:18,19)

The Lutheran Confessions, although not using the term objective justification, teach this concept.

But when the Lord Jesus Christ came, He forgave to all people the sin, which no one could avoid. … Christ took away the sin of the whole world, as John testified saying in John 1:29, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Apology, Art IV, Justification, 103 Concordia, page 99

Just as the preaching of repentance is universal, so also the promise of the Gospel is universal, that is, it belongs to all people. Formula of Concord, Art XI, 28, Concordia, p. 606

All have sinned and (all) are justified freely. Smalcald Articles, second part, Art. I,3, Concordia, page 263.

By way of illustration: A man pays my entire debt, gives me a check, and declares me debt free. But I must believe this, cash the check. It does me no good until I cash it. But I cannot cash it before he declares me debt free.

This clear teaching that God has declared all people righteous, Objective Justification (WELS catechism, question 253) Rydecki refuses to accept and teach. Thus he is rightly to be removed from the ministry of the WELS!

GJ - If Mike Bennett is a real person, he has a very shallow Facebook page with almost no history. What point is he trying to make? His ad hominem is borrowed, yet he brings this up in a response to a book in favor of the KJV.

Does any OJist or UOJist or General Justificationist or Universalist actually comprehend Romans 4 and quote it verse by verse?

I am sure Mike's Father Below is angry with him for being so foolish and timid on Facebook.

Response to Previous Post about Rolf, OJ, and ELCA

Responding to This Justification Post -

From a reader:

Dear Pastor Jackson,

I have struggled for a long time with 2 Cor. 5:19.  There are many interpretations of this verse.  I had come to think mine was unique, if I could back it up.

I have to start with a translation, taken literally from the Greek:  "That is that God was in Christ the world reconciling to himself not reckoning to them the trespasses of them and having put in us the message of reconciliation."

The word reconcile is often equated with justification, and this is the verse used to prove it, because it supposedly defines reconciliation with non-imputation of sins.  Reference is made to Psalm 32:2, but that psalm is spoken by David, a believer, and the non-imputation is toward believers.

I agree somewhat with Lenski that reconcile is used in two ways.  This first way is not justification.  Furthermore, the imputation / reckoning is not about the imputation of Christ's righteousness, but literally this: not reckoning to them the trespasses of them, because the trespasses are reckoned to Christ.

I think too little is made of a parallel between verse 19 and 21.  Verse 21 explains and augments verse 19: "The one not knowing sin on behalf of us sin he made that we might become the righteousness of God in him."  As in verse 21, verse 19 is about Christ taking on our sins and the sins of the world (John 1:29).  The purpose was that "we might become the righteousness of God in him," not that all have become the righteousness of God in him, as the UOJists proclaim.  I don't recall who said it, maybe Aegidius Hunnius, but nowhere in Scripture is the righteousness of Christ imputed without faith.

Phil 3:9 bolsters this: "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith."

Of course, the UOJists will says that is subjective justification, and does not disprove universal justification, but a proper reading of 2 Cor. 5:19 does when compared with all of Scripture.  Nowhere is Christ's righteousness imputed without faith except in a spurious reading of 2 Cor. 5:19.

This shined brightly when I saw your posts again from Justification and Rome, p. 72

"When does the imputation of Christ's righteousness take place?  It did not take place when Christ, by doing and suffering, finished the work of atonement and reconciled the world to God. Then and there, when the sins of the world were imputed to Him and He took them, Christ became our righteousness and procured for us remission of sin, justification, and eternal life. 'By thus making satisfaction He procured and merited (acquisivit et promeruit) for each and every man remission of all sins, exemption from all punishments of sin, grace and peace with God, eternal righteousness and salvation.'"

"But the imputation of Christ's righteousness to the sinner takes place when the Holy Spirit brings him to faith through Baptism and the Word of the Gospel. Our sins were imputed to Christ at His suffering and death, imputed objectively after He, by His active and passive obedience, fulfilled and procured all righteousness for us. But the imputation of His righteousness to us takes place when we are brought to faith."

This is stated so beautifully and fully comports with my interpretation of 2 Cor. 5:19, that it is about the imputation of the world's sins to Christ, not the imputation of Christ's righteousness to the world, a matter that requires faith in the procured and promised forgiveness of sins.  Verse 20 concerns this latter reconciliation when it says: "Be ye reconciled."

Blessed New Year to you.

RIP, Daniel Deuteschlander, WELS Professor

OBITUARIES

Prof. Daniel M. Deutschlander

March 18, 1942 - October 26, 2020

Obituary

Prof. Daniel M. Deutschlander, 78, of Watertown, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek.

A private service will be held at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.

Daniel Marvin was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 18, 1942 and together with his twin brother put up for adoption. He and his brother were adopted by Gotthard Julius Deutschlander and his wife, Rose Marie nee Klausmann. He was adopted as a child of God and made a brother of Christ on April 23, 1944 through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. He was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1956 with Rev. 2:10, Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life, as his confirmation verse. The days of his baptism and of his confirmation were joined by a third memorable day, the day of his ordination into the holy ministry, June 16, 1968.

He attended Horace Mann and Groveland Park elementary schools in St. Paul, MN; Concordia Academy in St. Paul, MN; Concordia College in St. Paul, MN (degree: AA); Northwestern College in Watertown, WI (degree: BA); Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI (degree: M. Div.); Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL (degree: MA in history); and UW Milwaukee (graduate studies in German).

He served as a pastor at Zion Lutheran and St. James Lutheran in Akaska and Tolstoy, SD; St. Peter’s Lutheran in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada; St. James Lutheran and campus pastor at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He served at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, WI as Assistant Principal and teacher of German and religion; Northwestern College in Watertown, WI as professor of German, history, philosophy, and religion; Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN as professor of German, history and religion; occasional summer quarter lecturer at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary; a semester as adjunct professor of history at Wisconsin Lutheran College. He conducted preaching workshops for parish pastors, and a seminar on church-state relations in Kiev, Ukraine after the Ukrainian Lutheran Church translated and published his book on the subject.

As a parish pastor (1968-1980) he served as circuit pastor, district vice president, member of the WELS evangelism commission, and on district evangelism and stewardship boards. From 1980-1984 he served as the weekly preacher for the WELS German radio broadcast that went from Eastern Europe to the Germans in the far east of the Soviet Union. He authored numerous doctrinal essays and papers, and other works including books, sermons, and devotions published by Northwestern Publishing House.

His greatest joy was a never ceasing amazement at the grace and mercy of God that he should not only redeem him but find a use in his church for such an unworthy and unfit instrument and house of clay. His greatest delight was to see his former students serving their Lord faithfully and then giving thanks to God that he had the honor to play some small role in their formation as pastors of Christ’s flock. His German Bible and German hymnal were his constant companions and the Lutheran Confessions his never-failing guides.

He is survived by his brother, David (Dianne) Deutschlander of Pine City, MN and his sister, Sharon Meyers of Sandstone, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gotthard and Rose Deutschlander and brother, Ronald Deutschlander.

There are no events scheduled. You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family, or plant a tree in memory of Prof. Daniel M. Deutschlander.

Rolf One-Note Preus Has Given His Final Sermon

Rolf Preus, the Rambach Professor of Homiletics:

We are justified by Christ’s blood. [GJ - The contradictions are breath-taking. OJists equate the Atonement and Justification.]

While we don’t receive forgiveness personally until we believe the message of the cross, the message of the cross is that all sins of all sinners are forgiven and that God has justified the entire human race in Christ. [GJ - No wonder he did not understand his father's Justification and Rome - and stopped mentioning it.]

Some of the Norwegian Lutheran pastors present didn’t believe that. No, they said, God doesn’t forgive you until you believe that he forgives you. [GJ - They teach straw man fallacies instead of the Chief Article at Ft. Wayne.]

This sends faith in search of itself instead of looking to Christ’s crucifixion where our sins were taken away. [GJ - This? Is Rolf making fun of faith? What about Justified by Faith of Jesus? Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:]

So the preacher decided to address the issue directly. He looked out at the congregation of pastors and declared: “I am righteous!” Then, after a pause, he said: “Do you believe it?” [GJ - Rolf should read the Wheat Flour Messiah, about the Swedish radical Pietist who was 100% righteous, touched people, and said, "You are righteous."]

GJ - The Norwegian Pietists, like the Halle Pietists, seldom grasped the efficacy of the Gospel in the Means of Grace. They believed in cell groups and the union theology from Spener that leaned toward or fell over backwards for Calvinism.

Search the web discussion groups, Christian News, the blarney files of WELS - These people are allergic to Justification by Faith and seldom use that phrase so odious to them. Faith in search of itself - that sounds so poetic, like something a tippler would say while admiring its brilliance. The OJists are as awkward with the topic of faith as a sophomore guy asking a girl for a dance.

They are so awkward - or deceptive - that they call their precious Objective Justification the Chief Article of Christianity. Zarling did, and so did Bivens (both WELS). So let me post what the  Book of Concord says. Yay BoC - they all agree with the Confessions, and Missouri/ELS twice as much.
