The Robberies Continue - The Kindle Version of Confessing the Gospel - $90!

Walther's mob stole all of Stephan's gold, the bishop's books, land, and personal property, leaving him $100 and a shovel.

Deep Synod Should Be Your Greatest Concern. A Vote for Matt Harrison Is
A Vote for McCain, Otten, Thrivent, ELCA, Abortion, and False Doctrine
Who Elected McCain and Otten?

Pope Paul the Plagiarist's only call was to serve as Al Barry's campaign manager when pretending to serve as an Iowa parish pastor. Otten set him up as the secret leaker of Barry material - they both denied heatedly what they told me secretly. Paul's STM took seven years, but not as long as classmates Jay Milhous Webber and James Rodham Heiser.

Pastor Herman Otten supports Objective Justification, Church Growth, conservative Roman Catholics and Baptists. I am the only one in Christendom he shuns. Herman's greatest thrill is being the kingmaker who put Jack Preus, Bohlmann, Kieschnick, Barry, and Harrison into office. Consorting with Otten will get anyone canned in the LCMS, unless he is running for Synod President.

This is Matt's graphic, not mine. What a disgrace! The treasures of the Christian Church are the Means of Grace. Does anyone at the Purple Palace read Luther and the Book of Concord? He dropped out of the seminary doctoral program he was in. That is considered an achievement in Missouri?

The LCMS Dogma-tanic is the envy of the other Vatican, the one in Rome. Harrison has conceded that Lutheran Biblical doctrine has been replaced by his latest achievements - canonizing Objective Justification in Confessing the Gospel and the Gigantic Small Catechism.

Missouri officially opposes the Chief Article of Christianity - Justification by Faith. Why the trinket filled mockery of the 500th Anniversary? Answer - because they agree with ELCA and the mainline apostates that everyone is already forgiven and saved. Missouri leaders mock the Scriptural mysteries and replace them with their Barth/Kirschbaum word-plays. Creation? Not sophisticated enough for these worldly wise men.

Matt Harrison, LCMS, and CPH Promoting Justification without Faith in Two, New Junkyard-Worthy Publications

One more time - The Chief Article is Justification by Faith.
OJ is justification of the entire world without faith - the exact opposite.

SP Harrison has perpetuated a fraud, publishing a Talmudic dogmatics book (two volumes) and a Small Catechism (400+ pages) that teach against the Biblical doctrine of Justification by Faith.

On page 209 is the language of OJ without the term - OJ is also absent in the index. However, this work states:

"Both the active and the passive obedience of Christ have been credited to us and are received through faith."

Note the order - already credited (world absolution without faith) and are received (world absolution without faith agreed upon).

Another weasel phrase is correct by itself but used to prop up OJ - justification of the sinner. Edward Preuss' OJ book was The Justification of the Sinner: everyone is forgiven before birth. No really. That is a work of genius, according to Walther.

Here is the slide presentation. Clever? Keep the real agenda off the printed page and insert it through a PowerPoint.

So objective [general] justification is forgiveness Christ won for all (2 Cor. 5:19–21).
His work is an objective reality — salvation and forgiveness for the world is accomplished, independent of any other human action or merit.
And subjective [individual] justification is this same forgiveness as it is received through faith by individuals (Gal. 2:16; Titus 3:3–7).
The individual “subject” is justified, born again.

Team Ichabod Is Discussing Justification by Faith, UOJ, Legalism, Antinomianism.
Some Research

The McCain-Harrison administration has presided over this bombastic, ponderous, self-important veneration of Objective Justification, a Barthian Calvinistic repudiation of the Chief Article.

Gentlemen: Inspired by Pastor Jackson's research as reported in Ichabod, I have examined the first English language Small Catechisms used in the Synodical Conference synods from the 1890s up to (in the case of the 1943 LCMS Catechism) the present by some conservative Lutherans, to determine how the doctrine of Justification is presented: UOJ or JBFA.  Here are my findings: (Caps added)

  1. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO THE SIX PARTS OF LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM by Wilhelm Loehe, 1893: Qu. 480 What does the Holy Ghost do for you?  A: He forgives my sins.  Qu. 481 Yours only?  A. No.  And the sins of ALL BELIEVERS.  Qu. 482 Why do you say, of ALL BELIEVERS?  A: Because the forgiveness of sins can be received ONLY IN FAITH.  (This Catechism was published in the United Synod of the South by the translator, Edward T. Horn.  Wilhelm Loehe originally worked with Walther and the LCMS, before founding the Iowa Synod.  Although not a Synodical Conference Catechism, Loehe's Catechism did reflect the teaching of the Synodical Conference at the time of its translation.)

      2.   DR. MARTIN LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM BY DR. J.C. DIETRICH, CPH,  1902: Qu. 305 Why do you say in this article: I believe in the forgiveness of sins?  A: Because I am fully assured that I cannot by my own power or my own works be justified before God, but that forgiveness of sins is bestowed upon me by grace, THROUGH FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.  For where there is forgiveness of sin there is also true justification.  Qu. 306 What is justification?  Justification is that act of God by which, from pure grace and mercy, for the sake of Christ's merits, He forgives the sins of a poor sinner WHO TRULY BELIEVES IN      CHRIST, and receives him to eternal life.  Qu. 307 How then do you become just before God and obtain eternal salvation?  A: Not by the merit of works, or by an indwelling and infused righteousness [UOJ?] ,           but only through the grace and mercy of God, for the sake of the merit of Christ alone, which I have apprehended and appropriated by TRUE CONFIDENCE OF THE HEART.  Or: By the most holy obedience, and       by the suffering and death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, not by any other works  To this I CLING WITH UNDOUBTING FAITH and upon this I FIX MY HEART'S ENTIRE CONFIDENCE....Qu. 309 But how can         it be said that we are justified alone by grace, alone for the sake of Christ's merit, ALONE THROUGH FAITH, and still through the Word of God and the Sacraments?  A: We are justified 1. By the grace and                   mercy of God, as the efficient cause; 2. For the sake of Christ's merits, as the meritorious cause; 3. THROUGH FAITH ALONE, AS THE ONLY INSTRUMENTAL CAUSE, OR THE HAND WHICH GRASPS SALVATION;  4.         Through the Word and Sacraments as the means of grace, which either convey or seal salvation. (LCMS Catechism)

       3. EXPLANATION OF LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM, Lutheran Synod Book Co. [ELS] 1906? (1964 printing, two years before first new ELS Catechism:)  Qu. 218 What precious gift does the Holy Ghost, in the                     Christian Church, grant YOU AND ALL BELIEVERS?  A: The Holy Ghost daily and richly forgives ME AND ALL BELIEVERS all our sins.

       4. A SHORT EXPOSITION OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM by Heinrich Schwan, CPH 1912: Qu. 197 Who receives this forgiveness?  A: Although it has been PROCURED for ALL MEN, and is offered               by the Gospel to ALL THAT HEAR it, yet ONLY THOSE WHO BELIEVE THE GOSPEL AND THUS ACCEPT THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS ACTUALLY BECOME PARTAKERS OF SUCH FORGIVENESS.  Qu. 198 What, then,             do we, together with our Church, confess regarding the forgiveness of sins, or justification?  A: That we receive forgiveness of sins and are justified before God, not by our works, but by grace, for Christ's                 sake, THROUGH FAITH.  Qu. 199 Can EVERY BELIEVER be sure of the forgivenesss of sins and of his salvation?  A: Yes, he can and should be, because God's promise is sure.  (LCMS Catechism)

       5. DOCTOR MARTIN LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM by Carl Gausewitz, Northwestern Publishing House [WELS] 1917 (Unrevised 1946 edition.)  Qu. 260 What do you confess with these words [I believe in the                 forgiveness of sins]?  A: I believe that the Holy Ghost in the Christian Church on earth daily and richly forgives all sins to ME AND ALL BELIEVERS. ..Qu. 262 Why do we say that the Holy Ghost forgives our
sins, whereas we are justified before God by the redemption of Christ?  A: The Holy Ghost by the Gospel awards the righteousness of Christ to us, and gives OUR FAITH ASSURANCE THEREOF.  Qu. 263  To                 whom does God forgive sins?  A: TO ME AND ALL BELIEVERS.  "Our works are all rejected, all claims of merit pass for naught."

       6. LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM (Revised Schwan Catechism/Intersynodical Edition) CPH, 1943: Qu. 187 Why do you say, I believe in the forgiveness of sins?  A: The Bible assures me that God daily and richly               forgives all sins to ME AND ALL BELIEVERS. ..Qu. 192 How do you accept this forgiveness of sins?  A: I accept this forgiveness BY BELIEVING THE GOSPEL.  (LCMS Catechism)

       7. LUTHER'S CATECHISM (Revised Gausewitz Catechism) NPH [WELS] 1956: Qu. 258 What do you confess with these words [I believe in the forgiveness of sins]?  A: I believe that in the Christian Church on                   earth the Holy Ghost daily and richly forgives all sins to ME AND ALL BELIEVERS IN CHRIST. ..Qu. 260 Why do we say that the Holy Ghost forgives sins, whereas we are made righteous before God through               the redemption of Christ?  A: The Holy Ghost brings the righteousness of Christ to us by the Gospel and gives us THE FAITH TO BELIEVE IT.  Qu. 261 To whom does God forgive sins?  A: God forgives sins to                ME AND ALL BELIEVERS.

Drive-Buy Doctor Kintz. Have you no shame? Using Luther to sell foolish trinkets and his name to promote the Calvinistic Pietism of Bishop Stephan and Pope Walther? Is it not enough for the LCMS to jointly write a Book of Concord with an ELCA activist while decrying that activism? Must the synod also embrace the apostate dogma of ELCA and cover it with gold and silver paint to make everyone forget it is Dreck?
CPH books are brought to the gullible, courtesy of Calvin, Rambach, and Stephan, STD.

Didya buy your Here I Stand socks from CPH?

It was beginning in 1966, with the first new ELS Catechism, that the Catechisms of the synods which had once been part of the Synodical Conference began to change how they presented the doctrine of Justification in such a way as to bring in UOJ, but up until that point in time JBFA was STILL being taught in the Synodical Conference Catechisms to the laity of those synods, while UOJ was being taught to college students, seminarians and pastors through such doctrinal theology texts as those by Franz Pieper, JT Mueller and EWA Koehler.  --WM

These clowns now have an enormous CPH "Small" Catechism that carefully explains two Justifications, one where the entire world is forgiven without faith, the other where one must agree that the  world is forgiven without faith, to be be forgiven.

Look for This in Any Christian Discussion

The Museum of Dead Lutherdom, poisoned by Calvin, Halle Pietism, and the Sex Cult Leader Martin Stephan, STD. His universal forgiveness without faith
was so convenient for him and his harem.

We must discern the spirits and watch for red flags.

A. Who are their real authorities? - not always what they claim but what they normally use and reflect upon. The Bible is the only book God ever wrote, so anything else is subordinate.

B. Do they start with a thesis and argue from that thesis? That is the basic problem of Calvinism. Behind every glorious thought is an evil or mistaken thought. "God is sovereign so He works through the Gospel if he chooses. If the Spirit is not there on Sunday, no one is helped by the Gospel." (Calvin, Fuller, Pentecostals) "God wants His Church to grow." (McGavran and his idiot disciples)

God wants us to be faithful to His Word. (The Scriptures) God works His will through the Word, Isaiah 55, etc.

C. What are they against? There will always be antithetical statements, although false teachers say they only stand for peace, love, grace, and growth. Watch out for those who only want to improve things - so they claim, but they add and subtract to suit themselves.

D. Can they express themselves from the plain Word of God, without tying people up in philosophical jargon? The Book of Concord is a model of this kind of expression. Like veteran mountain climbers, the authors never venture far without a safety anchor secured by a bright, clear passage of Scripture.

E. Are they talking about the Word of God or chatting up the synod and the various institutions thereof? Does anyone remember how we had to get rid of the KJV, pews, pipe organs, hymns, sermons, and the liturgy, so the youth would stay in the church? And where are they now? I see bald geezers trying to be rock stars in the chancel but precious few youth listening to their me-centered songs.

F. Are they speaking plainly or equivocating? Justification by Faith is not UOJ, but the Luther sects are try to sell this hybrid combo with only one thing in mind - UOJ triumphant.

How does one harmonize this with the UOJ fever in Christian News, the Purple Palace, and the LCMS-WELS-ELS seminaries?

G. Extremely important! - Consistency. Because the Bible is the Book of the Holy Spirit (Luther) - one unified Truth, sound doctrine will always be consistent. If one article of faith contradicts another, then something is wrong. We know a Rubik's Cube must match up, so how much more important is our confession of faith!

  • If we are born forgiven, as UOJ says, why baptize, or commune, or repent?
  • If the world was absolved the moment Christ died, why was the world absolved again when He rose from the dead? Both world absolutions are taught among the same Enthusiasts.
  • If the Scriptures are the ruling norm, the judge of all doctrine and practice, then why do we have no Scriptures that teach world absolution and salvation?
  • If Paul taught Justification without Faith (OUJ, UOJ, Justification of the World), why did Paul and the NT emphasize Abraham as the example of Justification by Faith in Romans 4?
  • If Paul taught Justification without Faith (OUJ, UOJ, Justification of the World), then why did he summarize Romans 4 with Romans 5:1-2?
  • Why is Abraham the most important Old Testament figure in the New Testament, if the New Testament teaches Justification without Faith?
  • If Paul taught Justification without Faith (OJ, UOJ, Justification of the World), then why did he also teach Justification by Faith? Who is the confused author - the inspired Paul or the uninspired UOJ Stormtrooper?
  • If Justification by Faith is Calvinistic, why are the terms Objective Justification and Subjective Justification found in the Calvinistic translation of a Halle Pietist's lectures?
  • If UOJ is so clear to Midestern Lutherans and the apostate mainline groups in America, why are people still talking about the Reformation in terms of Justification by Faith?
---

The overly sensitive in the Little Sect on the Prairie are offended that these words are from the Calvinist translator, not from the  Halle Pietist Hisself. However, they make my point for me. Their dearly beloved OJ and SJ terms come from a Calvinist and were adopted by the Stephan-Walther sex cult and others - like the Norwegian Pietists. I would offer my apologies to the MLA, APA, and Mrs. Turabian herself, but I was born forgiven, according to them.

A Murder of Crows: The LCMS-WELS Fake Gospel of UOJ Makes Pietistic Enthusiasm Official, Making Big Money in the Process.

Rogues Gallery - Faces behind CTG
Top Row - Paul McCain UOJ fanatic; Cheesehead Matt the Fatt and Mrs. Matt the Fatt; Waldo Werning CN Snitch and Church Growth Plagiarist.
Bottom Row - Karl Barth and his Commie mistress Charlotte Kirschbaum, the official theologians of Fuller Seminary and the LCMS faculties; CFW Walther, being without actual sin, was assumed into heaven and is venerated as a saint.

Confessing the Gospel: A Lutheran Approach to Systematic Theology; two volumes, Concordia Publishing House, 2017 - way overpriced at $90. Lacking  Scripture, authors, and topics indices. Very much in the style of Braaten-Jenson's pathetic Christian Dogmatics, influenced by the same Pietism and Calvinistic rationalism.

Here are some initial impressions:

This bolus of Barthian nonsense is a complete waste of time and money. If God allows the earth to last another century, the last remaining believers will laugh the bilge produced by the LCMS-WELS-ELS.

The Table of Contents reminds me of the pastoral theology book in WELS, which uses "shepherd" so often that a student satire included a final chapter - "The Shepherd Finds a Shepherdess."  Everything in CTG is "confessing" and yet the organization is hopelessly chaotic and repetitive. If they gave the main topics (loci in Latin) in a traditional order, their mischief would be obvious to any reader.

Various parts of the books that I have read are identical to the game played by modern theologians - "Let's play with these religious words and see what we can do creatively."

And yet, all these giants of scholarship (!) return to the dog's vomit, Walther's Universal Objective Justification. Doubly worse is the fake venture in Justification by Faith, volume 1, p. 568.

Five pages of blarney oscillate betwee UOJ and Justification by Faith, using justification alone for the UOJ crowd, which they parade as the real deal. Justification by Faith is simply a diversion until the wizards cast their spell with Universal Justification, etc. So many terms for the same false doctrine!

Volume 1, page 563, the magician's cloak swoops, the cane taps, the eye winks, and...

To understand the role of faith in the justification of the sinner, one must first recall the significance of objective justification or universal reconciliation, namely, the divine proclamation that God has accepted the sacrifice of his Son for the sins of the whole world, that his wrath has been appeased, that he is reconciled to the whole world, and that as a result he has issued a full pardon for all humanity. Since this pardon is unconditional, it is clear that faith cannot be a cause of one's justification.

[GJ note - I said last Sunday that the mark of all modernistic, rationalistic mainline theologians was this - pitting faith against grace, saying grace must be unconditional or it is not faith. Thus their case for unbelievers - like them - enjoying God's grace. How sweet, how sick.]

And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Genesis 15:6 KJV

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Romans 4:3 KJV

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 4:23-25 KJV

And the summary of Romans 4 -

5Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The LCMS Dogmatanic Has Been Rushed Priority Mail to the Ichabode.
The Two Volumes Are Expected Soon

"And do not spare the horses!
Um, cow."

I was glad to hear that the two-volume dogmatics book from the LCMS was on the way. Needless to say, it was sent by Priority Mail, which is best when going all the way from St. Louis to NW Arkansas.
