Is Any Reading Better Than Reading the KJV Word of God?

Reading used to be a hobby in an easy chair or from a recording. BibleJohn was entering his eternal home when his Bible player was finishing his latest chapter of the Scriptures. He never stopped giving away KJV Bibles and always enjoyed the free gift sent for the empty arms.

His pitch was perfect. When someone walked near him outside, even when a road laborer, he shouted out, "Do you have a Bible?" The bait always said, "Have one?" BibleJohn always said, "Yes!"

That question was not the catch...yet. The customer said, "Does it cost anything?" BibleJohn smiled his biggest smile, "It is completely free!" and passed the book. Lots of high quality KJVs passed into the arms of the curious, and many more Bibles were multiplied, just as Jesus promised.

At his funeral BibleJohn repeated his story, though no longer on earth. His narration among the audience, before and after, included women's prison ministry, children who got their first Bibles, and many more. Feeble eyes enjoyed the extra large print on New Testaments and long-life for large, high quality complete KJVs.

Charlie Sue Walks Down Memory Lane

Charlie Sue did her warble to go on a walk and stood on her hind legs.

Several sources said that plain old walking was better than using a gym's dreadmill, which tossed me off just like the movies. I was more annoyed by the equipment being changed in the strangest way.

Some test runs showed that Charlie Sue loves walking with leash and treats her staff with kindness and patience. The late afternoon is a great time to walk and to see neighbors. We stopped at Bible John's to tell him Bethany has ordered 10 more Super Giant Print Bibles (KJV) and 24 KJVs for the women's group ($4 each). Super Giant Print is ideal for senior eyes. The smaller KJVs are for those women establishing a new life.

If some want to designate one or both kinds of KJV Bibles, I can easily order them and get the discounts. We have donations from several sources, but if you also want to give as well, the need is there.

Bible John said, "Look at Charlie. She is watching the neighborhood, just like Sassy Sue when she was protecting us." Charlie turned around and licked Bible John on his hand. Pat often comes out and talks to Charlie, getting a kiss or two.

Bible John came over to the parsonage and gave away 3 Super Giant Print Bibles to three workers.

Sassy (above picture) refused to sit alone with fast-food fanatic Ronald McDonald. A stranger offered to take the photo including Sassy.

Ominous Rapping on the Door During the NY Eve Service

During the sermon last night I heard a rapping on the living room door. Charlie Sue was alarmed and looked me. She was ready to defend the household. I excused myself and left the chapel for the front door. I unlocked the door and cautiously opened it.

Charlie Sue is alert to every sound.

Bible John said, "Excuse me, but we need some Bibles for the prison ministry." He wanted the medium sized KJVs, which were for the women's groups. "Would you like 10 of them?" He looked sad - that was not enough. I offered, "How about 20?" He was not entirely happy. I was not sure of prices so I left the total uncertain. After the service I found them at only $9 and ordered 30. They are already on the way in about five days.

Norma Boeckler wrote after the service, "That was so neat that the Bible man came to the door requesting more Bibles. A good way to spread  God's Word with the KJV Bible."

I named him Big John for his size, but he said, "No, I am Bible John." In sales he is called a "closer." He knows what he needs and presses the point. Some rapid orders have yielded tiny KJVs, which went to children, 20 for only $100.

Another order was assumed to be the largest print - Super Giant Large Print - but ended up just the regular size, $10 each. Bible John said, "That's OK. It is what they want for the prison ministry for women." The Super Giant Print KJVs are favored by the seniors like me - $14 each. Bible John simply asks people if they have a Bible and offers them one. "Does it cost?" He says, "They are free."
