Supreme Court Justice Scalia on the DOMA Decision

Justice Scalia:

"But to defend traditional marriage is not to condemn, demean, or humiliate those who would prefer other arrangements, any more than to defend the Constitution of the United States is to con- demn, demean, or humiliate other constitutions. To hurl such accusations so casually demeans this institution. In the majority's judgment, any resistance to its holding is beyond the pale of reasoned disagreement. To question its high-handed invalidation of a presumptively valid statute is to act (the majority is sure) with the purpose to "dis- parage," "injure," "degrade," "demean," and "humiliate" our fellow human beings, our fellow citizens, who are homo- sexual. All that, simply for supporting an Act that did no more than codify an aspect of marriage that had been unquestioned in our society for most of its existence— indeed, had been unquestioned in virtually all societies for virtually all of human history. It is one thing for a society to elect change; it is another for a court of law to impose change by adjudging those who oppose it hostes humani generis, enemies of the human race."

Girl Slaves of Catholic Magdalene Asylums to Receive Compensation, but Not from the Church

This is the result of an abusive cult mentality.
"No one knew" so it didn't happen.

Girl Slaves of Catholic Magdalene Asylums to Receive Compensation, but Not from the Church:

Girl Slaves of Catholic Magdalene Asylums to Receive Compensation, but Not from the Church

Twenty years ago, shock washed over Ireland. After the Catholic Church sold a parcel of a North Dublin convent’s grounds to a commercial developer, and the construction dig began, 155 bodies were discovered in unmarked graves. The place had been a Magdalene asylum for “wayward girls.” Apparently, inmates who met an early end had been buried in secret — many without a death certificate, without notification of parents or other family, and all without the dignity of even the simplest grave marker.
Initially conceived as rehabilitation centers for prostitutes, the Magdalene asylums — also known as the Magdalene Laundries for the “women’s work” slave labor expected of the residents — eventually grew into houses of horror. The girls, some not even teens, were forced to work seven days a week without pay. The short-term treatment intended by the founders eventually gave way to long-term incarceration. Though conditions varied from one asylum to the next, a strict code of silence was in place for most of the day throughout the Magdalene system. Long prayer sessions were mandatory.
Worse, for over a hundred years, beatings and sexual abuse are thought to have been endemic.

Church of England Envisions 'Christianity-Centered Pagan Church'

Why? Because I don't have a graphic
stupid enough for this story.

Church of England Envisions 'Christianity-Centered Pagan Church':

By Anugrah Kumar , Christian Post Contributor
June 22, 2013|2:08 pm

As part of its drive to retain congregation numbers, the Church of England is training its clergy to create a "pagan church" where Christianity will be "very much in the center," a British newspaper reports.

The mother church of the worldwide Anglican Communion is seeking to create new forms of Anglicanism with which people of alternative beliefs should feel comfortable, according to The Telegraph.

"I would be looking to formulate an exploration of the Christian faith that would be at home in their culture," the daily quotes the Rev. Steve Hollinghurst, who is advising the denomination in its new endeavor, as telling the BBC.

What the church is looking at is "almost to create a pagan church where Christianity was very much in the centre," he adds.

The job of training the clergy to "break new ground" has been given to the Church Mission Society with the hope that many spiritual people will embrace Christianity.
"Nowadays people, they want to feel something; they want to have some sense of experience," Andrea Campenale, who works with the CMS, was quoted as saying. "We live in reflective England where there's much more of a focus on ourselves. I think that is something we can bring in dialogue with the Christian society."

The Holy Spirit Enrages SynCon Pastors

Holy Mother Synod teaches the pups
to howl with rage against the Gospel.
One of my Facebook friends announced the re-election of Matt Harrison as LCMS president. Some started to hail this as a great victory.

I pointed out that Missouri and Team Harrison have been working with ELCA for decades.

Gregory L. Jackson Let the full fellowship with ELCA continue, making it so easy to play holier than thou.

That lit up the comments. The LCMS pastors bemoaning the Supreme Court decisions were on my case right away.

Their continued work with ELCA means they support women's ordination, gay marriage and ordination. The  Supreme Court justices simply followed the policies already established by the mainline church bodies. WELS, Missouri, and the Little Sect on the Prairie are mainline because they are happy to work with ELCA on ELCA's terms, as long as they get to eat the crumbs that fall from the table. ELCA gets the most Thrivent money. Missouri gets $50 to $60 million per year. WELS and the ELS get far less.

The joint projects are no longer hailed as they once were, since bozos and rubes like you and me objected to the "conservative" sects looking down their noses at ELCA while working on religious projects with them.

One LCMS pastor called me a hater and a liar, so I asked why. He told his fellow rock-throwers, "Let me handle him." He went silent but unfriended me on Facebook. Oh the pain.

Jack Kilcrease was commenting, but I have him blocked, or he blocked me. Either way, I could not see his remarks or have fun with them.

Speaking of Jack, I got this email from his flack:

I responded:

"Hahahahahahaha."

I am not digressing in writing about Jack Kilcrease - he loves it. How else can he get 2,000 page views?

My point at the beginning is this - the Holy Spirit convicts people of their unbelief. All the "conservative" clergy will howl, "But we believe."

As Mary Thompson has pointed out in many communications, if they believed, they would not work with ELCA and Thrivent for the money. They would not depend on the government for tax revenue, bawling when it runs short. They would not be part of the United Nations' dubious money-raising schemes.

They cannot participate with homosexual and lesbian pastors and object to the Supreme Court mandating gay marriage, but they do. That requires a profound commitment to hypocrisy, which is the honor that vice pays to virtue. But, as Luther said, hypocrisy is still a sin.

My experience in the LCA conditioned me against adulterous pastors, not that I favored it before. I even knew of one LCA pastor who carried on his affair for decades with the knowledge and permission of his members, but he still did enormous damage to his family and congregation. In the Michigan Synod of the LCA, adulterous pastors could leave their wives for their parish girlfriends and stay in that congregation.

The Michigan District of WELS was no better, and the clergy were even more hopped up to protect their adulterous friends in the name of the Gospel. Many informants have told me how this is rampant in WELS and the ELS, with the same goody-two-shoes attitude I mentioned before.

False doctrine--the UOJ of ELCA, WELS, ELS, and LCMS--has found a home in the name of Luther, with alleged blessings from Jesus. Tell me again how Jesus has declared polytheists and atheists righteous and saved, without faith and even without the Word. That is the anonymous Christian blarney of Rahner and the Ultimate Concern of Tillich.

Is Your "Conservative" Lutheran Sect an Abusive Cult?

They recognized women's ordination decades ago, working with ELCA.
Now they honor gay ordination and marriage, for the same reason.

http://ichabodthegloryhasdeparted.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-us-supreme-court-simply-followed.html

Does this sound familiar to SynCon Lutherans? It should:

"The people of First Baptist Church were taught that if they didn’t see something, it didn’t happen. They were taught that unless an allegation could be confirmed by two or more people (Matthew 18) they were not to believe it."

"In general, the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist (IFB) Church movement abhors scandal and they do everything they can to cover it up. More important than the sin or the victims is the church’s testimony. The church’s testimony must be protected at all costs, even if we ignore a pedophile in our midst."

".....backed into a corner without the option of covering it up or quietly making the “problem” go away. (calling in attorney David Gibbs to “manage” the crisis speaks volumes about depth of the scandal)"

"The bigger the church attendance the more authority you were granted and the more weight your words had."

win them
wet them
work them
waste them

"They know people are “attracted” (the attractional method) to the Church by the pastor, the programs, the building, etc"

---

The first step in healing from an abusive cult is to leave it. Although they drive people away, they want those sheep silent and docile.

The LCMS, WELS, and ELS follow the same practices exposed in the Roman Catholic Church, where priests who are caught in the act are given a transfer to another location. The only effort that stopped this was SNAP, where the victims networked to warn others that a felon was moving to a new diocese. Many lawsuits proved that the Catholic Church had a policy of protecting sex offenders by moving them around.

Secrecy is a great tool in a cult. Everything is a secret in WELS-LCMS-ELS. Asking for information is a crime, and telling? - that is blasphemy that "hurts the face of the church."

Jack Preus referred once to the "WELS KGB." WELS manipulates people by keeping track of everything. They are ready to pounce and accuse whenever synodical secrets might be told. Of course, the facts do not matter. Anything that comes from "The WELS Grapvine" is considered Gospel Truth, so ministers fear the Grapevine - the whispers and the signs of being shunned.

The ELS is a pet project of WELS. No one pays much attention to WELS, so they like having a tiny sect they can bully. The ELS leaders are always WELS kiss-ups. And they all worship the money of Marvin Schwan and Thrivent.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — The National Cathedral is pealing its church bells, along with some other Washington churches, to celebrate the Supreme Court’s decisions on gay marriage.
Cathedral spokesman Richard Weinberg said the bells rang at noon Wednesday for 45 minutes to an hour. Bells also rang at other Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Unitarian and other Christian churches.

The US Supreme Court Simply Followed the Example of the LCMS, WELS, and ELS.
So Stop Whining

Party in the MLC was a deliberate carbon copy of
a homosexual video,
except the WELS version was more obscene.
The hand-wringing has started in the LCMS, WELS, and ELS. They will posture about the US Supreme Court throwing out the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and welcoming gay marriage.

One writer said there was no better time to witness to a fallen world. In fact, there is no better time for the SynCons to repent and believe in the Gospel.

I saw the beginning when first the LCA, then the WELS-ELS-LCMS allowed the buddy-pal ministers to divorce their wives, marry their mistresses, and move to a new call. In Columbus, that happened to three Church Growth pastors in a few years.

Besides that, the SynCons have been happy to work with ELCA's gay advocacy since 1987 - so the Supreme Court simply followed the pattern set by the so-called conservative Lutheran synods.

Item - SP Mark Schroeder and Child Pornographer Joel Hochmuth issued a joint letter denouncing ELCA for its stance, but that did not stop WELS from working with ELCA or Hochmuth from sharing his man-boy rape files with other fans.

If a homosexual LCMS pastor seduces a boy, the officials do everything possible to cover it up. Herman Otten sent me one case - nauseating.

Heterosexual rape and abuse? - same response. The current ELS seminary president denounced me to his adult class for "hurting the face of the church." I have been denounced often, but I would argue that Satan's Quislings have been "hurting the face of the church." People know, even though many pastors and laity choose to play stupid.

The Steadfast (sic) Lutherans (sic) erased all information on the case of a convicted sex offender being welcomed into their odious lay pastor program and allowed to rape again.

The WELS Sausage Factory
loves the NNIV and longs to force it on their sect.

Fox Valley Joel Lillo has left a new comment on your post "The US Supreme Court Simply Followed the Example o...":

"Party in the MLC" is not a gay video. It is a video that has camp humor (and fairly innocent camp humor at that). I really wish you hadn't vilified the students who produced this.

***

GJ - This "cute" video is still posted on Facebook - Bring Back Party in the MLC.

Scott Barefoot asked them to take the video down. The boys in the video deeply regret creating it.

I had no idea until a WELS member wrote me about it. In an abusive sect like WELS or the ELS, the person who complains about obvious immorality is abused and shunned, so I am the safe outlet for information.

When I wondered about who copied the video, the title appeared on a bunch of homosexual websites. Later, when Joel Hochmuth was arrested, homosexual blogs had great fun with Schroeder/Hochmuth denouncing ELCA while practicing homosexuality at church headquarters.

Joel, you need to read more carefully. I am faulting the adults in charge of the college and synod, and Quislings like you, always ready to defend Holy Mother WELS.

When women and children are abused in WELS/ELS, they think they are alone - the only ones. DP Robert Mueller told me, "You are the only one complaining about Church Growth." When I mentioned some names,  he and Kuske immediately began mocking the people I named. I knew I wasn't alone, and I knew that gambit.

The ploy is far more serious when church leaders destroy souls by their behavior and by condoning the worst possible carnal sins.

For a Babtist parallel, see this post about Hyles and his recently imprisoned son-in-law -

The WELS always seems to be a day late and a dollar short. This is especially true when it comes to the latest trends. Interestingly enough, the IFB appears to have been a trendsetter in some areas even when the Church Growth Movement was in its prenatal stage. From this article, here are some strange similarities between the IFB and the WELS:

"The people of First Baptist Church were taught that if they didn’t see something it didn’t happen.
