While WELS desperately needs a change of leadership, i.e., the DPs, et al, the existing system makes it very difficult to clean house. Running operations as usual the present leadership gets by with ignoring facts, reason, rebukes, and the Word of God. Cutting support simply means they close another school. There is no method to replace the undesirables short of destroying the synod.

I think Anonymous is correct. When the ELS changed their doctrine on the Public Ministry of the Word, Pastor Rolf Preus objected on the basis of Scripture. Pope John Moldstad ousted him because he declared Pastor Rolf Preus no longer in fellowship with the ELS (even though Pastor Rolf Preus was only upholding the previous ELS doctrine). The new synod C&C New Agers have created is and will be the synod in all it's Popish glory.
In Revelation 18:4 our Lord tells us what to do with respect to WELS.
