University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, a Heisman winner, has prepared an ad that CBS has said it will run during the Super Bowl. Supported by groups like Focus on the Family, Tebow's ad will tell the story of how his mother decided to give birth to him despite medical complications that were severe enough that doctors recommended against it. Serving as a missionary abroad at the time, she returned home and went ahead and gave birth to him.
Some organizations, including the National Organization for Women, want CBS to pull the ad. They claim introducing the subject of abortion is political advocacy and doesn't belong in a Super Bowl telecast.

That's right. There's never an appropriate time for Pro-Lifers to bring up the topic of abortion, just as there is never an appropriate time or venue or channel to confront WELS pastors about their fleshly ways.

If you are lucky enough enough to get an apology, tacked on will be an accusation about Mat 18 and the 8th Commandment, plus sneers and snarkiness. Call it a package deal.

WELS loves the babies as long as it's convienent. If it means they don't get matching funds from Thrivent...Well, not so much.

Consider how many murders have been financed by WELS Thrivent money.

Some WELSian out there is thinking to himself, "Maybe there was only one"

Oh gee, how did I know that the first comment would have a something negative about the WELS? Well, at least it keeps with the topic of this blog--more WELS bashing. Only season the blog with other things the number one priority of this blog and its supporters is to speak ill of the WELS.

In the interview, Margaret Sanger denies ever saying two or three statements attributed to her by reporters and newspapers. No doubt she would deny the other quotes--like saying she wanted to exterminate blacks.

Mike Wallace asked her whether murder was a sin. Being an atheist, she objected to the value judgment, but did say it was "terrible act."

Yes, it is as Brett Meyer said, we should think on, to our sorrow and shame, as to "how many murders have been financed by WELS Thrivent money".

But Anonymous @ 5,03pm has no qualms or concerns of any kind about that.

His response regards this appallingly distressing matter as a criticism of WELS.

How sick. How bereft of any semblance of Christian integrity.
