bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Bourman's Justification without Faith Essay":
As far as Chemnitz goes, I'm sure Bourman understands Chemnitz to say "atonement" when he says "reconciliation" and "justification," but Scripture says no man is reconciled to God, or justified, without faith.
Here's a question for the UOJers. Why can't you find one explicit UOJ reference where reconciliation and justification are equated with the atonement, and said to happen on Good Friday or Easter? Why do all the orthodox Lutheran authors only write in code? Were they trying to keep their UOJ doctrine a secret?
