Someone asked for WELS district convention advice. Here it is:
- Rebuke their false doctrine at every stage.
- Stop them in the hallways.
- Speak from the floor.
- Have lunch with them and apply the Word.
- Ask for a multi-year study of the Confessions.
- Expect false teachers to be removed rather than promoted.
- Deny WLC any recognition as a synod-approved school.
- Treat Thrivent the way Thrivent treats conservative Lutherans.
- Reconstitute the school system with affordable tuition and Lutheran instructors - both lacking at the moment.
- Sell the Chapel of St. Marvin to ELCA.
- Break fellowship with the Little Sect on the Prairie, until and unless they replace Pope John the Malefactor.

That kind of attitude will get you kicked out before lunch. Missing out on lunch would be a bad deal if the pastor's wife, who is serving the lunch, has asked you to stay for the meal. How would one approach a visiting professor who is also a straying brother? We all want to be 'prepared to answer.'

You are stepping on the tender toes of WELS Pietism. The men ought to be doing this, laity and clergy alike. If they cannot man up, then the ladies will not be able to rescue the situation.
