Which stadium is subjected to the most hostile weather? Minneapolis!
Which one has a balloon for a roof? Not just any balloon, but a very expensive balloon.
Watch it collapse again here.
Groundkeepers were going to shovel away the snow before it accumulated. That is like melting down an iceberg with a hair dryer. The blizzard sent them empty away.
"The Metrodome roof has previously deflated in 1981, 1982 and 1983, each time due to tears caused by heavy snow."
"Hey boss, I have a great marketing idea. We host the Snow Bowl this year."

Thanks for posting these items about Minneapolis. We're in the news much of the time, it seems.
You like euphemism, as do I. Mayor Rybak had a good one yesterday: "The stadium roof did not collapse, it experienced a deflation."
Maybe you can find some euphemisms in your area of interest and pass them along to your readers.
Happy Holidays to all,
Norman
The domes with inflatable fiberglass fabric roofs let in natural light without having to retract the roof and let all the cold or hot air in. Also, they only cost $100 million to build in 1980s dollars, whereas today the rectractable roof stadiums cost 8 times that much (in 2010 dollars):
