WELS - Study the Book of Concord?
Better Study Waldo Werning Instead, Or Cornerstone

Let's study some hymns, like that Arky-Warky one, a favorite of mine. And "Spirit of the Living God, Fall Afresh on Me."

rlschultz has left a new comment on your post "WELS Methods":

At my former WELS congregation, one of the pastors made the mistake of asking me if I had any ideas for a future Bible study. My suggestion was anything out of the Book of Concord. He just shook his head and got that sheepish grin on his face that was characteristic of him when he is nervous and uncomfortable. Since then, I have heard of "Bible studies" there that would make any modestly confessional Lutheran wretch. Examples include, but are not limited to, offerings from Waldo Werning, the Fireproof DVD and whatever Cornerstone Stewardship Ministries send their way.

GJ - Maybe, just maybe they will "study" the Small Catechism. Anything else is too deep and involve them in contradicting the UOJ. The Formula of Concord, "The Righteousness of Faith," destroys Kokomo Double-Justification.

That is why the Intrepids took refuge in church history, their version of it. I suspect their elephant sized mound was donated by someone from Mequon.
