I did receive this in an e-mail today:
from synodical bishop's current newsletter to his congregations in Eastern Washington, Idaho:
"The Emmaus Community of Idaho Falls has named itself for the road of companionship with Jesus in Luke 24:13ff. This new community has been formed among those who are proud to be part of the ELCA in Idaho Falls. We expect that they may be received as a Synodically Authorized Worshipping Community at our Synod Assembly in June."
It should be noted that they are so proud to be part of the ELCA that the word "Lutheran" appears no where in the church name. That's some serious pride, isn't it?
