A Matter of Time
Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "Lutheran CORE - News and Discussion: ELCA forces c...":
LCMS is suing one of their congregations over the church property:

WELS:
It's only a matter of time.
Jeske states, "If your generation is very consumer driven, what's in it for me, is this giving me what I want? I think all the better because it will challenge denominations and congregations to adapt and change often in ways that they don't want to do." 49:34

"Only a matter of time?"
The time is now! When members of big WELS churches from the upper Midwest move to areas of the country where there's only one or two small WELS churches to choose from, they will often (and I mean more often than not) either join the bigger LCMS church nearby, if they want to remain Lutheran, or they join a big non-denominational church where they can be entertained.
Didn't something similar to this gradually happen in Germany until finally the "Old Lutherans" were forced to emigrate to the US and Australia?
I bet that new UOJ will find its way into this hymnal.
