There is a God has left a new comment on your post "Enthusiasts in WELS/ELS and Missouri Have Reversed...":
Go and learn what this means:
At the final meeting in 1529 in Marburg where Luther met with Zwingli to reconcile their differences on the Lord's Supper, Zwingli approached Luther and held out the hand of fellowship, but Luther declined it, saying: "Yours is a different spirit from ours."

GJ - The Jeske Change and Die faction might easily join the ELCA. (Note - never say Ek-kah in front of them. It's like that old Niagara bit. "Slowly I turned...")
ELCA may seem to be ultra-high church, but their doctrine is rationalistic and Zwinglian.
The Olde Syn Conference likes to take shelter in claiming they are in bed with Evangelicals who actually believe the Bible. But a close look shows that their spiritual gurus only believe certain portions while denying vast sections of the Bible. They deny or have trouble with:
- The Real Presence.
- The Two Natures of Christ.
- Baptismal regeneration.
- Infant baptism - but not D-Day (dedication day).
- The efficacy of the Word.
- The Means of Grace.
- Justification by faith (absent a decision for Christ).
