Are All Grown Men Idiots?

rlschultz has left a new comment on your post "Agenda for 2010 - Men of His Word":

Are all grown men idiots? Absent from all of these conferences and workshops is sound, doctrinal instruction. Then again, it can be safely said that those at the top really do not want laity with even a slightly better than average understanding of doctrine. It is really distressing to see that all of this has gravitated to a non-stop parade of how-to sessions. It is really no different than being in the generic evangelical camp.

GJ - I am glad that Tim Glende makes such a big point of his study in WELS, because his presentation is all Groeschel and Stanley, with that secular group added.

The leaders of WELS are deceptive and hypocritical. That is why they support Englebrecht, Glende, Ski, and Jeske.

Notice which was published first. "Translation is Treason" is a common enough saying, but isn't a little funny that John Braun chose the same proverb to start talking about the NIV? It was just a coincidence, I'm sure.

The bummer is that Herr Braun didn't end up rejecting the NIV 2011, like the Southern Baptist blog from whom he kelmed his opening line managed to do. Why do these knuckleheads take the synergism from the baptists but not the wisdom it took to reject the NIV 2011?

Maybe the WELS has no ability to discern because it's been copying and pasting for so many years?

Once you realize that the leaders are wolves in sheep's clothing, you realize that they are true to their nature and the adjectives deceptive and hypocritical seem trivial by comparison.
