Luther Rocks: The English Translations are Not the Word of God...:

GJ - A Gnostic concept of the Scriptures is being floated - to win UOJ arguments.

Or Roman Catholic - Only the priesthood can announce Christian doctrine, and priests are infallible as long as they are in agreement with the pope at headquarters.

This is also a Muslim hermaneutic, because the only real Koran is in Arabic.

This is similar to the fake ichablog comment where a (W)ELS pastor responded to this question from Joe Krohn.

Joe asks, "How can God's immutable Word say something while it's not actually true?"

(W)ELS Pastor's response, "Like "you are just" when the person is really a sinner? In any case, you misunderstand the function of God's Word. Luther points out that human words are different than God's words. Human words say what a thing is. They are "call-words." God's Word makes things what they are. They are "do-words." By publically proclaiming the gospel, God creates justified sinners by his effective Word.

This response in defense of Universal Objective Justification continues the inherent contradictions in their false gospel that blaspheme the Triune God. They believe the words read in the Bible are not God's Words through which He works when and where He wills. Therefore the words can declare something. by their false interpretation (the whole unbelieving world has been declared by God to be forgiven of all sin, righteous in the blood of Christ and guilt free) but they don't make that thing a reality (the whole unbelieving world is actually forgiven, righteous and guilt free). But because they falsely teach that the faith of the Holy Spirit, authored and completed by Christ, doesn't do a dang digley thing (they say if it did anything it would make faith a work of man which in the doctrine of Justification is anathematized by God) they teach that faith simply receives what was already declared to be true before and without faith - that the whole unbelieving world was declared at the cross to be forgiven of all sin, righteous in the blood of Christ, guilt free and children of the Triune God.

Because of this false teaching they can never identify a difference between an unbeliever and a Christian. As (W)ELS Pastor Jay Webber explained, both Christians and nonChristians are under the same wrath of God while at the same time under his grace, mercy and righteous in His sight since they are all forgiven and righteous in Christ. Faith is no longer related to the forgiveness of sins in the doctrine of UOJ. Faith is the withered and empty hand which receives salvation. In the false gospel of UOJ, everyone is forgiven of all sin, guiltless in the sight of God, righteous by the blood of Christ just not saved eternally unless they believe they are all those things.

Unless you believe the doctrine of UOJ, you are rejecting the redemptive work of Christ and the forgiveness of sins.

Read page two here:

If you are an unbeliever, you are forgiven...nevermind about repentance...until you are a believer and you disagree with the pastor or synod...then you have to be repentant. Can you believe a letter like this and they couldn't even get citation to the Augsburg Confession right?

Be careful saying the doctrine of Justification is a 3rd Article doctrine. The word "justification" is not found anywhere in Luther's catechism, not in his explanation of the 2nd nor the 3rd articles.

While the Apology says, Iustificatio est regeneratio "Justification is regeneration," (as attested to in the Formula of Concord Solid Declaration, III:19), the FC-SD continues, "... not everything that belongs to conversion belongs likewise to the article of justification, in and to which belong and are necessary only the grace of God, the merit of Christ, and faith, which receives this in the promise of the Gospel, whereby the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us, whence we receive and have forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, sonship, and heirship of eternal life." III:25.

Based on FC-SD III:25, you might say that the doctrine of Justification bridges the 2nd and 3rd articles of the Apostles Creed.

Luther was wary about dropping everything into categories and creating another Thomist Summa. That is what we find today with the Olde Synodicats repeating the same little pigeon-hole slogans they memorized in seminary and never took the time to examine.

Isn't Justification a work of the Holy Ghost through the Word that creates saving faith? The remission of sins is in the Third Article. Yes all of this is dependent on the work of Christ or all would be in vain. In the end it is all about the Lord's testament and promises.

Based on the FC-SD III:25's definition of what is necessary to the doctrine of Justification, you might say that Justification includes all three Articles of the Apostles Creed:

"...justification, in and to which belong and are necessary only:

...the grace of God," (1st Article)

...the merit of Christ," (2nd Article)

...and faith, which receives this in the promise of the Gospel." (3rd Article)

Once you start saying that Justification is completely a 3rd Article doctrine, then you run the risk of being accused of the Roman Catholic error of infused grace, namely that Christ's righteousness grows inside you as you carry out the work of doing the sacraments, in addition to good works.

Agreed. I stated something very similar on another blog not so long ago...now if I can just remember...LOL...
