Moving South - Fifteen Miles

We are moving south in the next few days or weeks, depending on how some details come together. We definitely have a lease on a home to rent. The Parthenon, above, was not available, but I like the photo.

As promised before, our current abode is being remodeled from one end to another. They made the decision at the same time we decided to downsize and save money.

We will be on a quiet cul de sac, closer to almost everything. Bella Vista is near the Missouri border, so most activities in the past meant driving down through the busiest road (71) or else timing appointments to avoid the parking lot experience. The dogs will have a fenced back yard rather than a ravine, and they will also have a park-like area to play in. Sassy checked out the location and approved.

My high school classmates have begun to do the same thing. The time between buying things and downsizing is rather short. This is spring cleaning with a little more excitement.

Note the wheels. Phoenix led to one opportunity.
Bella Vista led to another.

WELS Pastor Joel Lillo, Fox Valley has left a new comment on your post "Moving South - Fifteen Miles":

So... further into the hills. Gonna set up a moonshinin' still?

GJ - They must not teach geography in WELS. South is away from the Ozarks. Bella Vista is called Little Switzerland, which means winding roads and deep ravines. We are high up a small mountain now, which makes travel after a snowfall treacherous.

Herman Otten said that Sig Becker was appalled by the alcoholism and adultery of the WELS clergry. Drinking to excess still seems to be a priority in the abusive sect. It is always on their minds.

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "Moving South - Fifteen Miles":

May the Lord continue to bless you richly, keeping you safely in His everlasting mercy and care. I am grateful that He has blessed us with a faithful Pastor who through trials has been tempered to carry the Cross, shepherd His Sheep and wield His Sword - rightly dividing Law and Gospel.

God's grace, mercy and peace be with you and yours Pastor Jackson.

By the grace of God, forever in Christ,
Brett Meyer and family

GJ - Thank you, Brett and all our Bethany friends.

Blessings with your move, Pastor Jackson. As I age, I am becoming more aware of the fact that possessions often own us.
