To Justifiy the Ungodly

A. Berean has left a new comment on your post "AC V - Asking about Holy Communion":

Something that Lutheran pastors tend not to teach to their people is the fact that justification is a forensic, or legal, act. Hence the "ungodly" in Romans 4:5 is still the believer since, because of his nature, he is a sinful human being. The "ungodly" is DECLARED to be righteous (as opposed to RC Doc that one is MADE righteous) in a legal, forensic way. A believer is righteous and a sinner. The difference is he is not CONDEMNED for those sins (Rom. 8:1). The Lord graciously promises that "their sins and their iniquities will [He] remember no more" (Heb. 8:12). The unbelievers are in no way righteous but CONDEMNED already (John 3:18).

GJ - KJV Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Using anything in Romans 4 to prove UOJ shows a complete lack of reading comprehension. Romans 4:5 by itself refutes their pathetic cause.

And what is the opposite of Romans 4:5? He justifies the godly? That makes no sense, but with UOJ we are in the realm of nonsense from the beginning. They cannot even figure out if the Moment of World Absolution happened at the cross or the second Jesus rose from the dead. Does that slow them down? It is easier to rob a she-bear of her cubs than to take UOJ away from the fanatical sects.

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "To Justifiy the Ungodly":

The (W)ELS is excommunicating their members for exposing the false gospel of Universal Objective Justification by teaching only Justification solely by faith in Christ alone. The (W)ELS teaches and practices the same as the Antichrist's Roman Catholic Church by anathematizing Justification by faith alone.

Even the so-called Intrepid Lutherans have the gall to refer to those in charge of these excommunications as Conservative and Christian. Will the laity ever wake up? And will the few faithful clergy ever have enough faith to fulfill their calling and publicly refute the false doctrine of UOJ and thereby protect Christ's Word and Church?
