Cardinal Dolan pretends to be Ski. |
Ski and Glende have been involved in documented behavior that would get anyone fired from a secular job. Ski is covertly suspended from The CORE for six months, with no announcement or honesty about that fact. DP Doug has conflicting stories about that situation.
Ski will either return to The CORE, which was given a free building by WELS (thank you, Mark Schroeder) or be placed somewhere else.
The Conference of Pussycats will do nothing about this, except declare they do not want Ski in their fiefdoms. There has never been a secret fake suspension before, but DPs are infallible and can make up their devious deeds without fear of contradiction. Everyone is helpless, including SP Mark Schroeder.
Case Number Two:
The Intrepid Lutheran blog is comprised of WELS pastors and laity who want to discuss doctrinal and worship issues. They have been pretty tame, but far more interesting and focused than that mountain of ennui called Steadfast UOJ Lutherans - LCMS.
The exception was Pastor Paul Rydecki, who came out in favor of the Biblical doctrine of justification by faith, compared to the Pietistic dogma of universal absolution and salvation.
The normally comatose COP leaped into action. Jon-Boy Buchholz furiously denounced Rydecki as a false teacher, suspended him, and did his best to steal the congregation and property from him.
Just to summarize things - Rydecki agrees with Luther. Buchie agrees with the Enthusiasts and ELCA.
That was not enough for WELS, driving Rydecki out. The DPs began quashing the Intrepid blog, even though it is only a discussion group. This is a replay of Gurgle hating Issues in WELS and having them fold and erase.
DP John Seifert has made a point of getting rid of IL members in his dying district. But what did he ever do against Church and Change, Mark Jeske, Jeff Gunn, Floyd Stolzenburg, Roger Zehms, and the rest of the clowns? He scowled and cleared this throat in a slightly menacing way, but that was it. Ditto the rest of the pussycats.
Case Number Three:
In the fullness of time, a new blog began - Ecclesia Augustana. The authors are younger, college-age men with an interest in Lutheran doctrine. Two of them have already been told to stop associating with the evil-doers of Ecclesia Augustana.
Some posts have defended justification by faith, in harmony with the Scriptures and the Book of Concord. WELS will have none of that. MLC is packed with UOJ and Church Growth fanatics.
The mis-named Martin Luther College (WELS, New Ulm) has been the playground for Larry Olson style Fuller Enthusiasm for decades. Every "Evangelism Day" at MLC is nothing more than a cakewalk by Church and Change losers. Now the complete list is so secret that I was unable to get the entire rollcall of speakers. One was Randy Hunter, who managed to open and close a coffee and couch congregation while WELS cheered and various staffers pretended to work.
Randy Hunter posted this photo on his church website, so I added some background text. |
Alas, the caffeinated struggle against Satan, his crafts and assaults, was too much for over-funded Church and Changers, plus Elton Stroh for comic relief. They sank beneath the waves with latteed groans, unknelled, uncoffined, and unknown.
Did the COP fuss and fume over the waste of money? Did the WELS magazine retract its fawning article about the great mission? Did the Sausage Factory apologize for letting Hunter set up a young lady who "administered the Means of Grace"? No.
Nor did they declare war on MLC when the college sponsored, played, and uploaded the famous gay video, Party in the MLC. The plagiarized copy of the Fire Island gay video was uploaded to YouTube for world-wide appreciation. The video remained on YouTube for a long time, was taken down for a short time, and reloaded a second time. When it was removed a second time, it appeared on Facebook - "Bring Back Party in the MLC."
So WELS has a major hissy over MLC men discussing Lutheran doctrine, but no problems with MLC men copying the obscene actions and homosexual gestures of gay activists.
The Wisconsin sect tries to keep a few students from writing while inviting the worst heretics of Lutherdom as featured speakers in New Ulm.
