The Good News? - Someone Still Cares about Luther!
Will Anyone Steal Thinklets from the Fuller "Off Our Rockers" Program? -

bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "LCMS Should Begin with Their Leadership Problem, T...":

German historians in shock after valuable Luther pamphlets with marginal notations from Luther's time (by a member(s) of the reading public--not Luther) stolen from Eisenach museum (city with the Wartburg Castle). The glass case had a simple lock on its sliding glass door, and there was no surveillance cameras. Now the museum is getting better security in anticipation of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Well, doh! Someone ought to be prosecuted for felonious stupidity:

The museum has no surveillance cameras. It is about to undergo a €3.4 million modernization and expansion in time for the 500th anniversary of the 1517 posting of Luther's 95 Theses, which triggered the Protestant Reformation.

"The annoying thing is that we were about to start a complete refurbishment in a few weeks with a much better security concept, surveillance cameras and glass cases fitted with alarms," said Birkenmeier.

The museum has been closed for two days to allow museum staff to add better locks to the cases and to replace some of the original documents on display with replicas.

GJ - This is dumber than dumb. Museums are supposed to protect valuable objects. The managers were just plain lazy. They just about to fix their problem? - after 500 years. Time flies.

I am betting an insider knew all about the plans and cooked up a deal to steal the collectibles when it was easier than copying and pasting from a Groeschel site.
