Brenda Skelton named Siebert Foundation CEO

Former Midwest Express Airlines and Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. executive Brenda Skelton was named the next president and CEO of Siebert Lutheran Foundation, which has nearly $100 million in assets and supports Lutheran schools, churches and ministries.
Brookfield-based Siebert Foundation said Tuesday that on Aug. 1, Skelton will succeed Ron Jones, who will retire this fall after 20 years as president.
Skelton most recently worked as a consultant to not-for-profit organizations in marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement, including Alverno College, Marquette University and the School Sisters of St. Francis. Her previous positions included executive roles at Baird, Midwest Express, Northwestern Mutual and the Milwaukee Wave indoor soccer team.
The foundation said it assets of nearly $100 million and it typically makes grants of about $4 million annually. Skelton served as a director of the foundation since 2004.
Recent recipients of six-digit donations from the foundation included St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Time of Grace Ministries, the ELCA Northwest Synod of Wisconsin and Hope Lutheran Schools.
