The Rationalists Stick Their Hooves in Their Mouths.
UOJ - Failed Interpretation and Failed Logic.

A Calvinist translator of a Pietist professor
made Objective Justification and Subjective Justification
popular terms for CFW Walther's Pietistic disciples.
Tell me how "Justification by Faith" is Calvinist,
thou pompous fraud Todd Wilken.
For I do not seek to understand in order to believe, but I believe in order to understand. For I believe this: unless I believe, I will not understand.” Anselm

Relatively few people are indoctrinated in Universal Objective Justification, a dogma always hiding itself away. Most of them are poorly trained, lazy seminary graduates whose clearest memories are recovering from the parties.

They operate on a faulty base of interpretation from the rationalistic Pietists, who reason thus:

When Christ rose from the dead, He bore the sins of the world, and He was justified. Therefore, the entire world was justified at that moment, whether anyone believes or not. 1 Timothy 3:16 - "justified in the Spirit."

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was

  • manifest in the flesh,
  • justified in the Spirit,
  • seen of angels,
  • preached unto the Gentiles,
  • believed on in the world,
  • received up into glory.

The UOJ picking at phrases, instead of understanding the Scriptures as a whole, is always on display.

"Raised for our justification" from Romans 4:25 is separated - but why? - from Romans 4:24.

Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
To make the world absolved without faith in 1 Timothy 3:16, the UOJ dunces must imagine that Romans 4:24 is not part of 4:25, let alone the summing up verses of Romans 5:1-2 that follow Romans 4:24-25.
The UOJ Stormtroopers also play around with 2 Corinthians 5.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Once again, this requires reading more than one verse, or part of one verse, to float this earth-bound dogma. "In Christ" is the same as believing in Christ, as anyone familiar with the Gospel of John already knows. Therefore, contrary to that OJ dabbler named Jay Webber, the entire world is not "in Christ."
The UOJ gurus refuse to discuss their dogma, because their opinions collapse like a badly made souffle, once a few objections are made. Then these brave warriors run away without discipline and hide without shame. Yet they are so willing to excommunicate most of the Protestant world for believing and not following their apostasy from the Chief Article of the Christian Religion, the Master and Prince, the judge of all other articles of faith.

Positives for UOJ
  1. Their dogma allows, even encourages, work with all confessions and no faith at all. Thrivent gets a free pass and a perpetually extended offering plate to fill.
  2. In worship, anything goes.
  3. Because the secretive and cowardly UOJ cult remains in hiding most of the time, getting rid of opponents is easy.
  4. If anyone disagrees with Matt the Fat, anathema sit!
  5. If anyone tries to discuss this in WELS, UOJ is "settled dogma," as MDiv Jon-Boy solemnly declared, ex cathedra. The Holy Spirit will not allow any WELS SP, DP, or CP err in doctrine, because - hey - they have memorized all the talking points.
  6. The hidebound Synodical Conference feels at home with ELCA and all mainline apostates because they dropped the Subjective Justification part long ago, as Schleiermacher did. Everyone is forgiven and saved. WELS even brags about it, but denies it when pressed about their false doctrine.

Negatives for UOJ
  • No reason exists to do anything more than tell people they should rejoice in already being forgiven, without faith, without the Word, without repentance.
  • Unfortunately, this UOJ passivity leads to an absence of confessional energy, worship attendance, and seminary study.
  • Over time people realize that their synod presidents and seminary professors are poorly educated frauds who are using the Lutheran Reformation as their annuity to stay well fed and equipped with the latest luxuries, tobaccos, and brews.
