The Fatal Quest for Conformity in the UniSynod - WELS/ELS/ELCA/LCMS/CLC/ELDONA

The Presiding Bishop of The Episcopalian Church
bankrupted and divided her church through lawsuits
and vicious alpha male tactics.

The accounting firm of Doom, Gloom, and Despair has released figures that show that 60% of WELS congregations have fewer than 100 members. These smaller parishes will not last long.

Similar figures can be dug up from the other members of the UniSynod. They point to the ELS and CLC (sic) disappearing in the near future. The ELS did their own study showing they would be a footnote in history soon.

This shrinkage was long-expected: it was the fear that made Milwaukee famous. WELS looked at the numbers and panicked, chasing the Church Growth Movement and enforcing their only dogma - UOJ - which makes every compromise so much easier.

Reformation 500 - More Than a Film

Matt the Fatt Harrison professes a great love for Walther -
the pope who kidnapped and robbed the bishop.

CPH shot glass and other bar items suggest
the LCMS demographics are closely related to AA.

Overpaid executive Paul McCain venerates the Virgin Mary
breast-feeding a Roman saint, but does this to Martin Luther.

After all Matt the Fatt celebrated the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation by selling cheap bar-room and dog trinkets while threatening to toss out any pastor who dared address a doctrinal issue without having that specific job title in Holy Mother Missouri. Legislating from the throne of his heart - like the real pope - Matt the Fatt simply put in writing what Missouri has practiced for decades.

Mirthless Mark Schroeder is making progress on his smile -
"We are shrinking but Missouri is twice as bad!"

Mirthless Mark Schroeder excommunicated the only pastor he could find who still taught Justification by Faith. Schroeder kicked out the congregation lost its property, too.

No sect has more funds per member than the ELS.
No synod is less capable of handling them.

Pope John the Malefactor started early by ravaging the ELS on behalf of some strange, ambiguous dogma about the ministry, which is being leased from WELS since the Little Sect always had a mixed message. He fired Rolf Preus while the pastor was on vacation, by threatening to kick the congregation out of the rapidly shrinking synod. How bad would that be? No more Wayne Mueller? No more Larry Olson? They should have said, "Bring it on, Pope John, you Malefactor."

Note - the title is not "Let down and rest,
you will be blessed."

Doctrinal Conflict Generates Doctrinal Clarity

Some realize that one toxic by-product of the Church Growth Movement, which still dominates the UniSynod, is devotion to business methods, especially the gaseous proclamations of Drucker's Management by Objectives. As on General Motors employee told me, "The alpha male bulldozer method advocated by these business methods have wrecked the giant corporations, because the executives would not take no for an answer."

The first VP of WELS went to Fuller Seminary to become a "consultant". Doubtless offering money was wasted on his tuition and travel.

Huebner likes the NIV, which is anti-Sacrament, badly translated, and feminazi.

When I told Jim Huebner that I listened to Drucker tapes, his face went white, like, "You know our secrets?" He was even more timid when I told him about my weekly xerox and mailing ministry, letting people know what was going on. Of course, nobody in the ELS/WELS rabbit warrens acted on anything, but they enjoyed being informed.

This obsession with conformity has meant that those with a brain, a conscience, and a decent Bible have give up on the UniSynod. Their seminaries are abandoned, like hotdogs at a Raiders stadium, or fan trinkets embossed with New Orleans Saints' logo.

The people I know give credit to doctrinal conflict for their searching of the Scriptures and the Confessions. The struggle is ongoing because we are not born with a KJV in one hand and a Triglotta in the other. Boomers and the older Lutherans were raised in an era of liberalism:

  • The Revised Standard Version will be in modern English. Yay.
  • Everyone will work together. Yay.
  • We can harmonize evolution with the Bible. Yay.
  • We have so many brilliant modern theologians, like Tillich, Barth, and Bratten. Yay.
  • The energetic leaders at Fuller Seminary are conservative and they will teach us how our parish can grow. Yay.
The devastation wrought by these hollow promises is so great that I wonder how more than a remnant will survive. While millions have left the mainline sects - includes all the Lutheran flavors - the next result is to translate vast amounts of equity into the hands of pansexuals, closet atheists, and pious parasites.

And yet, the money and property lost is not that important. Rome's pagan monuments and degenerate shrines collapsed the same way, because the apostles used the Gospel to knock Imperial Rome into the dustbin of history, as Luther noted.

Sowing the seed of the Gospel Word matters most now. Anyone can worship in rented facilities and rejoice in the Means of Grace, the efficacy of the Word.

I was shoveling up the wonderfully shredded piles of leaves in our street when one housewife expressed surprise at how valuable the leaves were. I said, "If people were aware of how much these do for the soil, they would fighting each other and saying - Them's my leaves. Git outta here."

That is why the Lutheran Reformers used the word treasure for the Gospel. That is why they valued - not their lives, their property, their reputation in the Church of Rome.
