WELS Denying What They Teach - Facebook Discussion

Facebook Discussion Group Devoted to Praising WELS for Being So Golly-Gee Perfect.

I'm a new wels affiliated member from the Philippines. Very new, jump shipped from LCP (lcms affiliated).
what is your reaction to this video? Your replies will be of great help.
I only have a basic understanding of Objective Justification and subjective justification. UOJ however is somewhat new. What is the heart of this view? is this a new thing being contended between WELS and LCMS? I would love to hear from WELS people on the matter.

What does one do when he realizes that his church (or church body) teaches false doctrine? Scripture says we are not to…

Donald Hochmuth WELS and LCMS have been united in this going back to the old days of the Synodical Conference. No, you should not leave the WELS. A blessed Holy Week and Easter to you and yours.

Marzan Ozarraga Venus Thank you Donald Hochmuth I was not contemplating to have another jump ship lol just wanna listen to some clarifications and additional inputs regarding UOJ. Do you happen to know this Pastor Sullivan in the video. Is he LCMS?

Donald Hochmuth Marzan Ozarraga Venus I can only assume that he is LCMS. I do not know for sure. How are we to understand John 3:16? What does "world" mean, if not the world of fallen, sinful human beings? Do we say "if you bellieve on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved..." . . . "or, believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved . . .' . . ? UOJ does not mean that all are going to heaven, even those with no faith in Jesus as Savior. LCMS has taught UOJ in the past. Whether or not they do now, I don't know. Pastor Sullivan seems, if he is LCMS, to belive that LCMS has no doctrinal problems and is pretty swift to accuse WELS of promoting false doctrine.

Marzan Ozarraga Venus Tnx Donald Hochmuth I found out that he is ELDONA. It came across as a shock to me when he claims that wels believed that by UOJ we mean justification even for those who are in hell. It is obvious to me at face value that it was off the rails observation for him. But I was just trying to test him here on that accusation. tnx for the time.

Donald Hochmuth Marzan Ozarraga Venus Thanks for the information. Good for you in scoping this out. I grew up Methodist, and decided while yet in adult confirmation class that I was going into WELS ministry. That was 1957, and I have never regreted it. May the Lord keep you strong in your faith.

This comes from drinking the bong water or listening to David Scaer too long.

This is decision theology or synergism, in a confused twist,
but Mequon calls justification by faith synergism.
Have they ever read Luther?

In the Scriptures, only believers are saints.
All believers in Christ are saints because they receive the righteousness of Christ
through faith.

Imputation is the a key term in justification by faith. See Romans 4 - 5:1-2. This bizarre statement parrots Edward Preuss, who became a Roman Catholic defender afterwards.
McCain was Otten's Secret Agent Man for Al Barry's presidential campaign. McCain began dumping on Otten as soon as Paul got his new job at the Purple Palace.

Mad Jack has always been Otten's counselor at Christian NewsTrue Waltherians - except they have not kidnapped anyone.

Valleskey, as president of The Sausage Factory and cheerleader for Church Growth, revealed in print that he did not understand a word of the Bible. The New NIV has exonerated him.
