- Speak glowingly of Justification but mean the Calvinistic, Pietistic distortions fashioned by Luther's enemies.
- Claim a quia subscription to the Book of Concord, but also say it is boring and irrelevant.
- Want a free ride on the Creation train, but reject the divine efficacy of the Word.
- Preach on John 16 but overlook that Jesus calls unbelief the foundational sin - "because they believe not on Me."
- Parade in their copes, capes, mitres, and chasubles through a cloud of incense but separate the Spirit from the Word, legislating from the throne of their hearts, like the Pope.
- Venerate a kidnapper, thief, and riot organizer, making him the only, true, infallible judge of Scripture, so all questions are answered by the Great Prophet Walther.
- Praise Jesus while tearing down the bridge to the Savior, the Means of Grace.
