Rose Bushes Are Ugly - And They Scratch

 Falling in Love is bi-color, fragrant, and thorny.

Writers in the gardening field have sharp tongues, and they love to denounce hybrid tea roses. I enjoy their humorous denunciations. The typical rose bush is so spindly that it seldom photographs well.  That is why photographers zoom in close.

Roses are especially thorny. I warned one helper that Falling in Love was the nastiest in the garden. Pretty soon he was shouting various things at them, even though he loved taking home roses to his wife.

I discussed flower photos with one member, and that grew into an idea about a book comprised of photos from the garden. Once I mentioned that, a number of people said, "Yes, yes!"

Planting roses when disaster looms is the right thing to do. I ordered these without the names, a bargain, which is how I discovered many new kinds over the last few years.

 Parade Day

The Art of War is being followed closely in this conflict between the US and forces of evil. Some major scores were being settled while the media was pumping up another case of panic.

 Rio Samba - at Ranger Bob's house.

The best way to understand this:

  1. News broadcasts and print articles are for things that never happened and for events that do not matter at all;
  2. The truth has to be discovered, because both sides cloak their plans;
  3. The good tree only produces good fruit - America is bound to shake off this latest threat, because this country was founded on the "the laws of Nature and of Nature's God."
